Lawrence Gray had won the televoting. That year (2003), it was 50% televoting and 50% judges. It was the judges that made Lynn win. It would have been better if Lawrence Gray had won. He would have done much better with his wonderful voice and 'Why Not' was a great song!

Lawrence Gray should have won in 2003 with "Why Not". Lawrence won the televoting, but unfortunately that year it was 50%televoting and 50% jury...The jury prefered to make Lynn win, and obviously they made the wrong choice as Lynn placed the one before the last at Eurovision....Had Lawrence Gray won, he would have placed much better for sure!!!!
