Salauddin Sheikh brings up a good point. I live in Canada and it is too often that I see old folks being discarded like a burden, and that too by their own children. It is cause for concern that so many of our Muslim brothers and sisters disregard the creed which has been given to them by Allah. My father and mother tell me everyday that the situation these elderly are facing do not happen to them. Inshallah, I never, until I die, will desert them. Allah knows all, Ameen.

I really feel sad for these parents who sacrifice their happiness for there children and they (children) give them this response...

I appeal to every one in Pakistan to join your hands with Mr. & Mrs. Edhi to keep this work going on. Mr. & Mrs. Edhi are just like our parents too...

shameless children...they dont seem to respect...or fear the time when they get old...or they see the grave...my mother is dead and i regularly pay charity in her name...give a lot of respect to her friends...and pray to ALLAH go forgive her sins and grant her a place in (jannah)heaven...inshaALLAH ameen

This is really very very touching! It's really difficult to understand how people can neglect the very individuals who made them what they are today. If there is anyone after God, it's your parents. May God bless Mr. Edhi for his noble work! There are very few like him left today!

This is so sad to watch. I know there is a lot of peoverty in pakistan but it is even sad to see how poeple abandon these old people.

Thanks to Edhi, at least they are clothed and fed. May Allah give us the capacity and the blessing of taking care of our parents as they cared for us when we were helpless. This is what we should be doing as Muslims.
