if you have mods on 1.1 and want to backdate to 1.0 do you have to delete mods first

this program will delete the jar file only. after you use it you will have to put the mods you want back in the minecraft.jar

they need to figure out how to stop breaking our mods every update. or make it easier to install them. (not that its particularly difficult once you know, but if it was like the texture packs are, with a link in the main menu, then drag and drop, that would make my day...

doesn't even work, when i did it and i logged on from downgrading 1.1 to 1.0.0 it said 1.0.0 but when i closed out to download the mods again and put them in it just reset back to 1.1 and i hit not now for the upgrade..

i guess not all the people saying thanks in the comments must be crazy. if ur mods stay to start with a fresh jar and tel u to force update, then u are UPDATING and will be back 1.1. this tool gives u a fresh jar file same as force updating except its 1.0
