@rialtobaby It was great to move from a 27 inch TV to a 50 inch flat screen to watch this. You can see Dolores' expressions and subtle movements so much better. (It can be argued that nothing about Dolores is subtle.) The sets, choreography, costuming...fantastic! Once in a while one is able to see this movie on a big screen usually at musical festivals or the public library, museums etc.
She is so very alluring...a perfect, vampy, femme-fatale. Those poor guys stood no chance of survival when confronted with such an immense feminine force. No man could. She effortlessly killed them and it was fun! This production number makes the case that women really do control the world. I noticed how the choreography is staged such that the slit in her dress is almost always toward the camera....What a treat if you like nice legs.
@crackahtowah Good to see this again. That's an edgy yet engaging analysis you have made. I suppose you're probabIy right. It's enjoyable to see how she can make the dancers leap, flip around, and worship her as part of the performance narrative. The glamour, nice legs, and her undulations are convincing weapons. It's a totally underrated number.
@wrestleme12368 I have never seen a woman pose like that!! She actually scowls in annoyance at the last two male pests that she guns down. But I agree. It's all fun for her. What is your favorite part of the number?

There was Dolores Gray, and then there was just everyone else. Too bad that she only appeared in four movies. She was, simply, a force of nature!

Love this. Dolores Grey was a killer. That hot, hot orchestration suits her, as do the campy lyrics by Comden and Green.
