Because we evolved from the fifth ape called homo sapiens and we share a common ancestor with the other apes.

Plus, evolution takess a lot of time to see it in a lifetime...plus the theory of Darwin could had been debunked by genetics, but what genetics found was our genetic connection with apes.

I heard that about Ken Miller's research. It is the #2 chromosome pair that is two chromes mutated/fused into one which explains why modern apes have 24 chromosome pairs and humans have 23 chromosome pairs.

Because evolution doesn't try to make one species into another. Humans are related to the other great apes because we share a common ancestor, we have overlapping DNA and clear morphological similarities, we have many of the same mutations and the same ERV markers.

A Chihuahua will never be a Great Dane but you know that they are both breeds of dogs (they are actually a ring species, cross breeding them is not feasible) and that they both share a common ancestor. The same applies to us.

@darkuser999 The problem is that as the more complex a thing is, the less chance there is for it to happen without intent. Other animals with eyes aren't any different from humans in this aspect. The idea is that it's about as likely for a colonial-style house with plumbing and electricity to spring up, unguided, from the primal earth simply because it had eons to do so. Even DNA and cellular structure are very complex.
