  • Hey Y'all, checkout the lyrics, this is some real talk, and it just goes to show you the mentality of an ol skool brotha, who refused to let his women & family go without trying to hold it together. Now, checkout the lyrics in todays music, I bet you get a total different message.

  • @pepdogg513 True. Class. I love the songs from this ERA, Showing true feelings. Today's Music is full of negativity towards others. Especially gansta rap calling women derogatory names. Time to wake up and change from these evil ways.

  • @ You're so right. This is a great song.

  • @belladeballe amen...........knows no color...this was music at its best.

  • @cherylharrell1961 wat does race have to do with this???? Do you hear white kids going around saying hey I m white but I love me some 2pac. Thats just as bad as saying ize marrrie noaw or he aint be gotten no job... Cmon LMAO

  • @etenhue I've had ignorant ppl say to me, "Oh, is this what you and your BLACK friends listen to?" To some, if you like soul, rap, whatever genre is mostly thought of as being "Black" music, and you're not Black, you're a poser or a wannabe. That's messed up. I either ignore em or give em the one finger salute.

  • @SweetUniverse LOL @ giving people the one finger salute. Unfortunately, some folks are VERY ignorant. I'm white, and I listen to all types of music (soul, funk, etc.). Not just the music that white folks should be listening to. :-)

  • @cherylharrell1961 Well.. alrighty, then!! Us Black people aren't the only ones with soul!! :)

  • @cherylharrell1961 good music has no color barrieriors! i'm black and i love country! mater of fact i have written a country song for some one!

  • @ranmae57 That's cool!!

  • @cherylharrell1961 I'm white too, and I looooove soul/funk music. :-)

  • @cherylharrell1961 who cares what colour u are

  • @cherylharrell1961 Imaging America without Black Muzik....damn that's a depressing thought....think of what Black muzik has done for American muzik in general...how could someone regardless of race not like it....Muzik is universal...Thank God!!!!! Don't let your appreciation for Black culture stop there...get some Black friends...a whole lot of them.....Peace & Love

  • @cherylharrell1961 Imagine America without Black Muzik....damn that's a depressing thought....think of what Black muzik has done for American muzik in general...how could someone regardless of race not like it....Muzik is universal...Thank God!!!!! Don't let your appreciation for Black culture stop there...get some Black friends...a whole lot of them.....Peace & Love

  • @TheRhythmAlchemist Yes, American Black Muzik includes: Gospel, Blues, Jazz, Ragtime and various outgrowths (Gospel + Blues = Rhythm & Blues; R&B is about 2/3 of Rock & Roll ). Jazz in itself has a bunch of outgrowths (Dixieland, Big Band, Be-Bop). Yes, American Black Muzik is a full plate

  • @57highland Right on......the best part is....We're willing to share it with the WORLD....Peace & Love

  • @57highland But unfortunatly to some, we are NOT supposed to consider it black music. We cant have nothing that is unique to who we are as a people! Whites have country/pop...Hispanics have latin music...so why cant black folks have BLACK music??

  • @cbnboy34 Oh, but it IS black music, no matter what anyone says or thinks. You can't argue that it's anything else. Another one I forgot to mention is Motown. That was very superior. And lots of black people you never heard of, too.

  • @cherylharrell1961 dont know why you would mention your color ???? just say its a good song..

  • @cherylharrell1961

    You got good taste girl!
