This is racing, unlike the current crap, this was brilliant. Great video, greatly appreciated. Awesome cars. I swear these things are quicker than the current V8 supercrap, the imports dont lumber through corners, they are so agile. I respect the Commodores, Falcons, Sierras, GTR and M3 all battling it out, wish it will come back and happen again.
@Woodlings2 I agree with most of what you say, however the current V8 supercars are faster. Look at the lap times. Johnsons pole lap was 2min 12 But at the recent 2010 bathurst 1000 The pole lap from Craig Lownds was a record breaking 2:06,8012.
The racing in the old era was much better with many makes of cars. The differen classes was also a real highlight with smaller cars having a red hot go also.
To say nothing of the fact that the current cars are nothing like what you can buy.
Those Sierra and Skylines were gun cars. But the turbo-age is in the history book now. Now Bathurst is over-run with locusts also known as Falcons and Commodores. BRING BACK THE TORANA!!!

With only 10 Falcons against 19 Commodores this year in v8 supercars i think the Holden v's Ford thing is all but over.
Australia needs to go back to this type of racing.
There are more cars than just Falcons & Commodores out there.
