I always hated Alyssa Milano for pushing Doherty, the better actress, out of that show. After Prue, the show sucked, although it wasnt the best show from the start

this was back in 2000 and im still pissed that they didnt show prue actually dying, you know, letting us see leo trying to heal her. @GreenAshR46 Technically even if Leo was called she probably wouldnt of made it. Whitelighters can't heal the dead, so it really depends on how she died. If it was instant, not even Leo could have saved her.

Yes, in my view - it WAS a great Charmed scene indeed - one of the three VERY best (up there with THE final battle, the vanquishings of the Source and Zankou and Leo's fall from Grace); In addition and I thought, rather fittingly, Shannen saved some of her best acting for this - her final EVER scene of Charmed - just a damn shame it was SO long before the PROPER Finale of the series itself and moreso that she NEVER came back after this - not once - which is partly what makes the scene so great.
It was a great scene - it had an air of........I don't know - finality about it - as all death scenes (I mean FINAL death scenes) should and this was one of the best out of all 8 seasons of Charmed - leaving you with a nagging sense of doubt as the same scene's already been played out twice and a sense of hope that Phoebe coming back might.....just might help save Prue AND Piper - but she didn't - not THIS time as we found out in the next series - I'd say the directors got it Spot On.
They couldn't then summons Prue's spirit back as they did for Phoebe when she switched bodies in Series 7 as A:) Prue' was gone far to long due to the 'time rewind/freeze' deliberately being tampered with by Tempus and the Source to stop them getting there in time to rescue her and B:) It was meant to be her 'final' death like when her mother died and she wasn't EVER coming back. It was Meant to be her final death, and it WAS......................
It IS the final scene EVER of Prue - Why? Because the logical answer is that they did what they did in Dr Who 2 series ago - they put Phoebe a second or so 'out of time' with Shax' attack on the sisters so that she arrived back ALMOST exactly as the first time - with ONE crucial difference - a second was FAR to late for her to get Leo to save Prue AND Piper - The Sources' always wanted Prue' dead - SHE was the most powerful and he wanted her gone - he got his wish to.....................
He's so right they went back in time like 500 times after prue died.. If I were them i would have already gone and saved prue...!!! and its a shame that she didn't let them to have a proper death scene that sucked! I mean... i would even go back to save gramps and pattie
Piper did try, maybe not going back in time but she tried other ways, they showed that in the beginning of Season 4. Grams told them that it happened for a reason even if they couldn't understand.
Many other times they were told and it came to bear that they couldn't change anything that was destiny. The only time that worked was making a bargain about Leo but then he wasn't dead yet either.

They suggested going bk in time b4 any1 was at risk of dying but the demon knew the future and said one of the sisters will die so if u want to go back in time we'll do if IF we get one of the sisters in exchange.... so Sum1 had to die... Now that I've looked for it I think it was just a montage that someone made. its disappointing though, I feel as though there should be an extra episode between the seasons. One that shows prue's death and how pheobe escaped the Source's evil plan.

Nope, that's it. The final scene had Piper and Prue unconscious and the doctor dead, with Shax breaking the glass. I remember that final crane shot very well, because I loved it and was very impressed with Shannon's direction. This was an AWESOME finale, and it was this scene that really made it so. :-)

You've seen it all. Unfortunately, Shannon left the show, so they could not film a proper death scene for her. They had to gloss and improvise. I thought they did a decent job, though it IS a little confusing to jump right in like that.

Shannon had epic fights with Alyssa, who curiously dated the actor that played Leo.(I forgot his name) But as much as I loved Prue and Shannon's ability to play her so well, everyone knows she had a tendency to fight, not saying Alyssa is innocent. It would've been cool for Prue to die with Pride (after all shes the strongest sister) so maybe she could've battled with the source but at the end he killed her or something, that would've been epic!

There is a version after when Shax leaves the house in a slam. It shows Leo healing them both and them both waking up even though Dr.Griffiths is dead. Now the reason why they did not show that clip is because they did not know if she was coming back to the show or not, if she was they would have shown it, but since she didn't, they did not show it.

if you notice in this episode and the episode that comes before this when phoebe is turned into a banshee, shannen doherty and alyssa milano have minimal contact because they hated each other which is why shannen doherty was kicked off the show

Prue was bleeding a lot from the head. And yes the reason why she was killed off because she left the show. But you know what that usually is what happens when a actor/actress leaves a show. they kill off their character. Well thats how it is in most cases.

Prue was shot thru the wall first. Leo could not heal them both because their injusries were to severe. So leo had to pick one, and he obviously chose Piper.
After prue died, i never really like the show as much, its ok ,but Shannon Dohertty made the show what it was. But this season finale, was well put together, and thought, good job to the producers and directors!

Alyssa Milano wanted top billing and so Shannon had to go.
After hearing that I watched the show but blamed Miss Milano for the loss of the special bond the show had before Prue death.
Shannon has always been a little difficult but nothing like Alyssa Milano.
They were fighting over wardrobe and who got more airtime.
Still sucks these two couldn't get along for the sake of the show and the millions of fans who adore and want to be them.

What do you mean? This is how she died. Only this person messed up the video and put Phoebe in it. The second time when Prue really died Phoebe and Leo were in the Underworld.

It would've been cool for Prue to die with Pride (after all shes the strongest sister) so maybe she could've battled with the source but at the end he killed her or something, that would've been epic!

I just wanted to say this.
There is a version after when Shax leaves the house in a slam. It shows Leo healing them both and them both waking up even though Dr.Griffiths is dead. Now the reason why they did not show that clip is because they did not know if she was coming back to the show or not, if she was they would have shown it, but since she didn't, they did not show it.

if you notice in this episode and the episode that comes before this when phoebe is turned into a banshee, shannen doherty and alyssa milano have minimal contact because they hated each other which is why shannen doherty was kicked off the show

Prue was bleeding a lot from the head. And yes the reason why she was killed off because she left the show. But you know what that usually is what happens when a actor/actress leaves a show. they kill off their character. Well thats how it is in most cases.

They reversed time to back when Shax came and then they cut to the credits, then we had to wait. I love this episode, it was the saddest.

This is bullshit. They killed her off in the most stupid way ever. And the part where phoebe appears is not in the epiosde as it is shown here. I love charmed but it was better with the original 3. I like Paige, it's phoebe thats the problem. Everyones says it was the prue show Seasons 1-3 but 4-8 it was the phoebe show. she isn't even that pretty! but in every episode peopel are tellign her she's so ebautiful, it got a little too narcissistic for my liking.

at the begininng the whole shax comes in and throws piper and prue thru the wall, and leo and phoebe are there to heal them .. but when prue and piper come back they go after shax and are exposed by this news reporter, thats when its all over TV and they get a bunch of people around their house, thru all that phoebe and leo are trying to get some demon to reverse everything..and a wannabe witch is trying to break in, and since she doesnt she shoots piper,

At the end of the last episode of season 3 piper and prue are both injured and laid on the floor, but how come prue died and piper didnt? do they show that part in season 4? also I've read that this isnt the real ending the 1º time they aired this shax broke prue's neck and it was too much for family tv so they had to cut it.
