  • I LOVED this when I was a kid! I wasn't afraid of the Jabberwocky, though--I was a weird kid, and I was afraid of the Cheshire cat and his grin...LOL...seriously, though, I was afraid of creepy grins; like the Cheshire cat, clowns, my kindergarten teacher.....

  • damn, i saw this when i was younger and i think subconsciously hid this back in the memory because i was terrified... it's all coming back...

  • This movie scared the ABSOLUTE piss out of me as a child. Not going to lie; watching it now as a 25 year old...I'm still kinda freaked out.

  • Wow this movie scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. Glad I got to see this clip

  • Like what mlb0293 said I too thought I dreamt this. I had so many nightmares because of this movie and for the longest time I was terrified of our mirror in the living room. I always thought I would see the jabberwocky behind me if I looked in it. Really when I think about it, I didn't even want to clean that mirror out of fear that I would fall through it and be trapped.

  • Longest time I thought I had dreamed this. Thanks for the closure.

  • this scene gave me nightmares. I was born in 1984 so I guess I saw this when I was 2-4 or so maybe

  • when i first saw this. i wasn't scared. what really scared me as a kid was the boogeymen from march of the wooden soldiers.

  • What a place for a commercial break! Geez - takes you right out of the moment!

  • @reorourke my last name is orourke too.

  • Wow, I hadn't seen this since I was a kid when it terrified me. Especially as I never saw the next film. Thanks.

  • This scene scared the shit out of me, as a child.

  • Pretty good, but that Jabberwock looks like it's going to fall apart. 8/

  • 1:42 ! That's a glass! not a mirror, she reflect a little, so there couldn't be two mirrors together :P

  • @IsaiasO98 well maybe thats why they call it "through the looking glass" :)

  • just found out that girl isnt heather Natalie someone but oh boy she could be her Twin

  • aww thats little Heather o rourk im shure better known as Carol anne she sadly died when she was 12 or 13

  • she looks 2 young 2 read

  • There were two books, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass were Alice returns to wonderland and the theme is chess instead of cards.

  • is there 2 alice in wonderland??

  • I so remember the Jabberwocky lol

  • she's so adorable!

  • EIGHTIES MUSIC WooooowwwwwweeeeEEEEEEEoOOOOOWWWwwwwwww!

  • I'm glad Tim burton had the Jabawocky in the new film too.xD.

  • But is THIS one voiced by Christopher Lee? I think not!

  • I remember being scared as a kid seeing this. Now I am lol just cause of how funny and phony it looks now.

  • this movie scared me so much when I was a kid. I'm only 29 and I remember the world looking like that. we dressed like that and everything looked so old. interesting to watch this as an adult. I wonder what kids would think to see it now.

  • Is there anywhere to buy this movie?

  • The most terrifying thing I saw on TV. Really scarred me. Why anyone would put that in a kids movie is beyond me. I remember it ending with Alice screaming and then it ends. Must be just me.

  • It's funny how 20 years ago I saw this terrifying creature that was the spawn of the Queen Alien, and now it looks like a cheesy reject from Godzilla or Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Heh. Funny how growing up has that effect...the aliens in "Communion" terrified me in 2nd grade, now all I see is Chris Walken doing the moonwalk with goofy puppets from Spencer's...long live childhood and gullibility 0_o

  • BBBAAAAAAARRRNIEEEEEEEEE :DDD

  • 1985 I was 7 years old. This scene I still recall as the most scared I've ever been in my entire life. Absolute terror for the yung me

  • That little girl is a good actress

  • What is the matrix?

  • I remember seeing this as a little kid and being freaked out... This movie and another (the name I can't recall but ended with two kids supposedly killing this evil queenish lady only to go home and see her creatures coming out of their bathtub or something like that) were what my nightmares were made of.

  • The Jabberwocky costume is EPIC!

    Lightbulb eyes FTW

  • I want a scary "Alice In Wonderland" movie D:<

  • "oh...i was just trippin"

  • dogma

  • i'd take the fireplace poker and beat it to death :/

  • 61 people were scared of the Jabberwocky

  • I saw that and it scared the hell out of me. However, I liked it back then which is weird. Now I watch it and it's obviously a guy in a suit.

  • Wow, I'm glad I didn't watch that when I was a kid. That would have been traumatizing.

  • BARNEY WANT'S HIS PILLS!!!!

  • @LovableChaos wants*

  • frightening the minds of people since---the first movie ever made?

See why, do find out why - and what would have happened without them? checkmate - checkboards - symbols - know who you are -

A living sentient BE ing - energy is spirit - the body is the carrier/vehicle. I am researcher; do not expect to find many videos on various subjects. cont.

  • @gotthenumber It depends through which looking glass you are looking through, one can find different answers. " The essential is invisible to the eye". Exupery - Somewhere, close, or afar, "someone loves you". I love you, 'cause We are One.

The fear was engraved - clean it up -- let go of the fear. That is ENTER TAINMENT- words

  • The Jabberwocky is actually quite frightening, until you see it tiny, stubby legs.

  • in the book through the looking glass there is a picture of the jabberwoky and knight the funny thing is the knight is a girl because of the long curly hair many think the poem was changed from a girl to a boy because of the time it was made was when women were valued

  • That Jabberwocky looked badass.

  • omg!!! i use to be afraid of that stupid jabberwocky. Still a great classic

  • I think the dragon looks badass for a tv movie.

  • i'd fuck her

  • My goodness, this video sure got hit hard by spam.

  • i love alices dress.

  • Oh my god... there's a picture of queen Victoria mounted on the wall...O_O'

  • @somebodysentme The only reason she looks exactly like Heather is because she's wearing a wig (her real hair is brunette).

  • stupid bitch, BREAK THE GLASS!!!!!

  • I thought the movies were both very boring...but this scene stuck in my mind. It's so disturbing.

  • This film is art and deals with real topics in a very abstract way, and it is available on filmsi.co.cc! Mainly it's spiritual, but it also deals with the fragility of our mortality as human beings, the frustration of keeping ourselves alive and the stress we must deal with during loss and acceptance.

  • Oh man, I remember this! My parents would never let me see it because I was terrified. When I was little, I looked just like this girl, and I was afraid the jabberwocky would try to take me because he got me confused with Alice. There are many nightmares in my past from this! lol

  • It's funny coz you can see her reflection in the window hahahah :D

  • her parents look like her grandparents....

  • I think the original illustration is scarier than that thing.

It doesn't look anything like what it's supposed to.

    Haha, very 80s though.

  • 1:25 Her face! XD

  • Arent her parents a little old? o-o

  • i bet alice wasnt expecting THAT.

  • nice parents, don't even look like they care their daughter is missing.

  • @33rosyposy Casey Anthony's grandparents probably!

  • for years this one scene was stuck in my head and i could never remember what this movie was called!!!! now i know :) thank you sooo much!!!!!

  • Hey guys. The guys who made Godzilla movies called...they're looking for a missing suit.

  • The music is dope as fuck

  • I remember being scared shitless when I saw the Jabberwocky as a kid. Now I find it hilarious.

  • Ya it is an american movie so what? Somehow we can still party and act like complete fools like in this movie and still be able to dominate the world intellectually. Hmm. I am seeing it at sitemoovie.co.cc today.

  • 3:12 "i really shouldnt have eaten all of those fucking mushrooms"

  • @greggmahalo Your English is "laim"

  • Now I know why Alice didn't seem phased by anything in "Alice in Wonderland"! I mean she's clearly younger in this :P

  • Nothing frightens me, and I'm not the least bit afrai...OH MY GOD!!!!!!

  • O.O

  • My mother just installed a huge wall mirror downstairs. :(

  • CHRIST!!!

  • omg the special effects made me shit my pants! it made him look....so real D:)

  • Now THAT'S a good child actor, she doesn't sound fake like most child actors. ^^

  • can't believe this movie used to scare me as a child. Mainly the Jabberwocky used to be what scared me. Now it looks like something that should be fighting Ultraman or the Power Rangers.

Still a good adaptation of the story.

  • Alice's house is the C.W. Post Home in Long Island, which is southwest of New York. For the first shot in this video, did they actually go all the way to New York just to film that shot, or did they just use stock footage from somewhere else?

  • carol ann. you're always getting trapped in things. first a tv then a mirror? will you ever learn?

  • carol ann

  • wow i have been searching for this movie to buy for ages :( I LOVED it when i was little, it was so scary haha

  • What?!?!? It didnt eat her??? I watched 4 min of that just to see some BLLOOOODDDD!!

  • @Gnahtte relax, this is the 80's, its still almost inhumane to show two adults in bed together....

  • id be scared if it wasnt a sweaty puppet dragon

  • "MOTHERFUCKER I'M BACK"

  • I just shit my pants.

  • She looks so much like Dani Harmer. O_O I thought it was her for a moment.

  • moovi.co.cc IS SHIT, stupid and annoying spammers -.-

  • HA! i'm NOT crazy!! i knew this existed! now i have to go show this video to some people that thought i made up this particular childhood memory......

  • god that was scary

  • What's with all the spamming on this video? Can someone please stay on topic? This is great, I can imagine how horrifying this must've been for kids to be watching the movie and all of a sudden having this thrown at you.

  • what's up with all of these adds in the comment section?

  • Awful. Funny.

  • Awful. Funny.

  • Scared the living daylights out of me as a child.

  • Everytime I look in the Mirror I think to myself is that me or is that someone who looks like me looking back at the real me through the magic Mirror. I wonder if it's not the real me but someone who just looks like me can I send them to my job to do my work. Or even, is it possible, to transform them into a beautiful Girl with a nice personality who would accept me for me and bring true love, then I could have a life. Don't know.

  • I cannot believe... The message is so clear. That's crazy!!

    Alex Collier is right

  • Just realized that I spelled Alice wrong in my last comment.

  • @DuykRuyk I'm naming my kid Alive now!

  • I love the portrait of Queen Victoria on the wall in contrast to the girl's American accent.

  • Am from UK - this version is new to me. They've taken a puzzling, emotionless, oddly static, unforgettable founding tract of surrealism and made it into a deeply ordinary four dollar ninety-eight kidflick, with tedious 'scares' and a child actress who can deliver all the standard child actress moves. Check the clips from Jan Svankmajer's Alice on here. It's a v. loose adaptation, with almost no dialogue - but it's 100x more interesting than this, and it's the real thing. Your kids deserve it.

  • Gotta love the fucking 80s, man. "The Dark Crystal," "Labyrinth," "Legend," "Return to Oz," "The Neverending Story," "Through the Looking Glass," "Dreamchild,"... Nightmare fuel for one and all.

  • Great movie I use to watch this movie every week for years it allways freaked me out I was 7 and like WTF every minet was so f up, but great movie they should make a scary version of it for the the fans

  • wow spam? really?

  • This is an utterly grand movie...Just masterpiece...I didn' t watch better movie which left stronger effect on me... View it on malifilmici.co.cc... I think for realism this is the best film. I honestly recommend you all to see this..

  • Best Ever

  • This is the version I grew up with. I still love it. And it's still creepy as hell.

  • i remember this vaguely. i have no memory if the jabberwocky scared me or not.

  • It'sPuff the Magic Dragon! RUN!!!!

  • losiign my shit

  • Where's her blue dress?.... And why did the first part of the Jabberwocky book sound like gibberish?

  • You know the Nostalgia critic should have put him in the top 11 scariest nostalgic moments LOL

  • See...All you have to do is cry and all your fears go away.

  • go to happy place!!

  • Doesn't Alive have a blue dress?

  • @DuykRuyk In the Disney animation, yes. The real Alice wasn't even a blonde!

  • @DuykRuyk In the Disney version, yes, but the book never mentioned a specific color.

  • @DuykRuyk There was no original dress color. It was black and white. The cartoon made it blue and that became the norm.

  • @kd61307 Good point. Why'd they make it blue?

  • @DuykRuyk Who's to say Alice's dress is blue?

  • @JaSmiiNeBiTcHeZz This discussion ended a long time ago. Look back at the comment replies and it'll make more sense.

  • @DuykRuyk nipples

  • Well the whole blue dress thing for Alice was just for Disney's version. If this movie had their Alice with a blue dress then Disney might not like them coping it. Samething in the Snow White sequel called Happily Ever After. They decided to make girl dorfs with powers for their movie instead of male dorfs like Disney's, because Disney was against them coping the same style. I know Dinsey doesn't own the Snow White story, but thats just what I've heard. So I'm not 100% sure if it's true or not.

  • @DuykRuyk In the original novel, she actually had a red dress. Everyone thinks its blue because of the Disney animated movie from 1951.

    Film-blah correctional force, OUT.

  • @DuykRuyk Each version has a different outlook for Alice; in this version she wears a pink dress; in Disney's and several others stick to blue; and the one starring Tina Majorino, she wears a yellow dress.

  • Her parents are ANCIENT!!!

"I'm heeeere. On the other sahd of tha meeeeror!!"

  • I remember this! It was so-weird, which is why I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

  • that guy who played the Jabberwocky is now a director

he directed some great movies like Odd Girl Out and The Texas Cheerleader Scandal

    i'll always love this movie

    that jabberwocky is so scary.

    i was freaking shaking.

i thought when i first saw this he was going to kill her. i was about 6

  • All in all, these movie appeal to anyone and please everyone. A must own movie... For all the audience, for all ages... I'm sure you've all heard of this movie and believe me, it's well worth watching it not just ones.... kookíca has it for free! Go for it.

  • is the jabberwocky really scary i didnt look because the description said it was a back scary monster
