GoW III is basically an up-scaled GoW I&II. would have been nice for them to use the power of the PS3 to take 3D game cameras to the next level by implementing a dynamic camera while speeding up the pace of the game by a factor of 2 or 3.

I don't know what you mean about circular motion camera angles. The camera does affect game-play, it makes or breaks it. I am talking about a camera that facilitates game-play .I mean, if you can jut watch the first few minutes of the trailer and imagine that all the game-play looks and feels the same way the trailer does with a few minor changes for viewing sake.
Metroid other M is using same old camera techniques as the first GOW. The thing is that you can't control the camera but instead the angle swithces from pre-determined angles to give you some cool looking shots. it's very effective but it's hardly innovative...

No it doesn't. You haven't paid much attention to the Metroid trailer. GoW does have some fixed camera angles but movement is on a 3D field, whereas Other M has fixed and dynamic camera and movement is along path - you can only move forwards/backwards and up/down. This allows Metroid to better pace its gameplay, in GoW you "stand" in an arena with lots of running around in circles beating up enemies for 5 minutes. The GoW III trailer shows proper game-play pacing - game is always moving forward.

Yeah, the game camera in modern 3D games should work to compliment the gameplay, moves and pacing of the player. Everything in GoW is pretty much good except for its static camera. Totally scrap the 3D arena aspect and fix Kratos's movements to a path within a 3D environment - this will help game-pacing and playability. Kratos can move off the path while attacking through air and pulling off chain moves but automatically returns to the path when complete - see in the trailer. Enemies don't take 20 hits, they take 2 or 3 - difficulty becomes your ability to time attacks and chain. Show greater sense of speed with camera and allow Kratos to run. too hard with words. Imagine
Man I understand 100% what youre trying to say about the dynamic camera angles. I really do think it would make gameplay a pain in the ass. Think about it man. If the angles are always changing while youre running, it will be difficult to maintain a specific direction while running. Also, when there are 20 enemies all around, the constant changing angles would throw the player off and make combat difficult. A game like GOW is not the right type of game for this, as awesome as it sounds at first.
I can honestly say that the ps3 is just a little bit better in my opinion. there is something not quite right about the xbox 360 for me. Don't get me wrong its a great console its just there seem to be allot of flaws. including the fact that it scratches up games when you play them and the fact the the wireless adapter is £50. make your own conclusions.

However, the Graphics aren't all the God of War series has. It has solid gameplay, intuitive controls, and a memorable story.
However, I must admit that GOW 3 just looks like more of the same. That's not necessarily a bad thing, when "the same" is actually quite good, but longtime GOW fans will most likely get the feeling of deja vu. It seems the devs have tried to get around that, by adding new things (i.e flying on harpies, using cyclopses)
but all they're doing is adding onto the combat engine, rather than rebuilding it. Again, some could argue that the combat engine was never in need of rebuilding, but still...

Problem is, the 2 god of war games I have played (Original and Two, both for ps2), have been epic. Gameplay + Graphics.
This game could be crappy, but for now - you dont know. If your going to complain about people who talk about nothing but graphics, please do it on a game which you know is bad. You dont know whether this game will be good or bad, so theres no point in complaining.
Besides, all people can talk about really are graphics, as i said - nobody knows much else about the game.

I agree. Graphics are not everything, after all.
However, the Graphics aren't all the God of War series has. It has solid gameplay, intuitive controls, and a memorable story.
However, I must admit that GOW 3 just looks like more of the same. That's not necessarily a bad thing, when "the same" is actually quite good, but longtime GOW fans will most likely get the feeling of deja vu. It seems the devs have tried to get around that, by adding new things (i.e flying on harpies, using cyclopses)

Wow, I really got off topic there, didn't I? Well, what I'm trying to say though, is that GOW as a series adheres strictly to the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach.

I'm leaning towards a PS3, mainly because there's not friggin stupid Red Ring of Death, plus it's a Blu-ray player as well. Not to mention Heavenly sword, the upcoming GOW3, and of course, Little Big Planet. +)

Problem is, the 2 god of war games I have played (Original and Two, both for ps2), have been epic. Gameplay + Graphics.
This game could be crappy, but for now - you dont know. If your going to complain about people who talk about nothing but graphics, please do it on a game which you know is bad. You dont know whether this game will be good or bad, so theres no point in complaining.
Besides, all people can talk about really are graphics, as i said - nobody knows much else about the game.

wow has anybody noticed that kratos even has the scar on his stomach that he got in God Of War 2 when Zeus impaled him with his sword. and i have 2 say the blood effects are so much better and realistic. THIS GAME IS GONNA BE AMAZING!!
