My having lived in England has caused me to appreciate the lives of these people and how much they have suffered, but thank GOD a remnent still lives on.

Why doesn't it say, 10,000 JEWISH children in the commentary at the end of the film? Are they going to become POLISH children over time? The tragic suffering of the Jews in the ghettos and concentration camps must be told in its awful reality, and not disguised or belittled in any way!

No-one is belittling 'your' suffering, but lots of 'you' were quite happy to get rid of lots of 'us'. Perhaps you're living in my grandparents' flat, or eating off their plates, using their cutlery!

Not to mention after the war, when some of the few survivors who returned to Poland were attacked, and murdered on the trains; in Kielce, the infamous example, but there were many others pogroms. Jews certainly weren't welcomed back as "Poles", rather as unwelcome intruders.

@hadassa47 Inside Jewisch ghetto in Lódź exist "Polen-Jugendverwahrlager der Sicherheitspolizei in Litzmannstadt" also known as KINDER KZ - it was koncentrations lager for Polisch children between 2-16 years. After 16 They was send to Auschwitz. Almost 20.000 Polish children was prisoners durning war. Survived only 1000. Nobody can`t remember Them on the west.

Ergo: [virtually] every child that died in Ghetto was Jewish. That's obvious for a Pole (which, by the way, cannot be said about a great deal of people in the West), so if you suspect this to be some kind of manipulation then please stop worrying. Roughly 20% of history as tought since elementary schools (incl. mandatory trips to auschwitz) here is solely about anihilation of Jews.
