I owned a car like this and it came with an exterior sun visor and a reflective device, on the drivers side dash, to make viewing traffic lights easier. It was a straight 8 and had the smootest, quietest sound I have ever heard. It had an easy push button start and hydroglide transmission.
I also have a 52 2 door Chieftain I'm working on. I need all the glass and just a few trim pieces. I'm in Pensacola, Fl. let me know if you are going to sell her! I was thinking i would sell mine but have desided to stick with it!t what a great car when you are able to drive it!
We just bought a 51, 8cyl, 60K miles that has never been driven in the rain. It's perfect in it's original state. It's amazing. We will be selling this now.
I like very much these cars, I have a pontiac 1950 8 cil in españa that I buys in 2007 in USA. They are lucky the power to see all these cars in your country. I congratulate them. A greeting.
I'm so glad I have a '50 because I cannot stand the 52 gauge cluster. If they are compatible I'd swap them out for a much better looking cluster IMO. Still, a Chief is a Chief and they are all good.
Hey thanks for sharing! The low mileage and the original spare tire is amazing. We think about restoring something but have never done it yet. Anyway it gave me something better to think about than politics right now.
Your right. It's good to take a brake from the rough and tumble politics. It's a cool care, really cool car. We hope to do a restore job on it in our life time but it's hard to get the time and the money it would take now days. I'm glad you liked it.
well i say keep and restore that gem, that is a beautiful car,i would invest in a nice cover for it if its not garaged. i would have liked to have seen whats under the hood! that thing is really cooooool keep it keep it keep it keep it keep it keep it keep it!!!! me i would have to drop a 502 in it but in the long term i think that would be a mistake. p.s. i hope you still have it. and i love the simplicity of the dash and interior and the whole car in general
Getting a 53 four door, going to restore most of it but i need to make it driveable first, can you put seat belts in it? If so how?
