Oh please! The guy is really good, but he doesn't walk on water (to use a Christian metaphor). Personally I can't stand all the rolls and the lack of a groove. I prefer other players like Ramzy and Kaspar. Different technique from a different culture I understand.
"ox horn" ? The man plays shit when all he does is 1/64 note rolls. Sure, great chops, but I like music with my drumming. Fast rolls, so what! He is NOT a revolution in playing. He just developed a technique. Good for him.

No, I'm not a "jealous prick". You guys aren't getting my point. I think his chops are amazing, but from everything I've seen on Youtube it mostly just fast rolls and technical playing. There is no musicality at all. And as far as Kaspar goes, yeah maybe I wasn't thinking straight! I just don't like this style of playing. Technically amazing, but musically dead.

Ahmet is one of most musical players I have ever heard. Perheps you just can't hear this Music because your ears are not ready for this. Or they will never be, because you there is other Music you like. Thats ok. But dont say somebody is unmuscal when he plays fast. It is not that easy...
