whew! I feed my dogs meat. If you have a hunk of meat in your freezer and its freezer burnt you can give it to your dog. Raw not cooked. Do not cut it into little pieces. (thats a human thing not a dog thing) You can give your dog veggies, raw not cooked. My dogs love broccoli. You can get frozen chicken backs from your local meat store for about 32 cents a pound.
Ah, yes, grain. It always surprised me to read cornmeal as a major ingredient in my cat's food. That's our dept of agriculture at work. Subsidies on corn make it SOOO cheap, that it's in just about everything... High fructose corn syrup- a cheap sweetener. Corn meal, an inexpensive source of energy. BUT, in nature, cats and canines get much nutrition from the contents of their prey's gut- meaning plants, seeds, etc. So, I guess it does serve a purpose...
Mmmm toxic foods.... This is why I spend 80.00/bag of food & feed raw to my dog. Lookup Global and Ryans Pet foods. Any brand you find in there is safe for dogs.. Just remember Grain free is best. Its NOT toxic, but its pretty useless for a dog to eat, unless your trying to chunkup your dog. If you want a safe cheap dog food get Merricks.. If you want a great grain free kibble, get Orijen.
This video will change the how the world buys pet food. I know the next time I purchase food for my beloved pets I will make sure I have complete knowledge of what ingedients are going into that product. I agree with TheSilverPony, it was very imformative. A truly remarkable and eye opening video. On behalf of all pet owners, I thank you for showning us "The Good, The Bad , and The Don't Tell Me Thats True" about pet food.
