  • This is not live....they are just miming to the track for the cameras.....Don't you people know a live sound from a prerecorded one?

  • There's so much hate for this video it's actually funny. And I completely endorse all of it. Cosmic Law: You don't fuck with the Beatles.

  • Did you ever think about us beatles fans before posting this video?

Because I was hurt by the fact that the editing doesn't do The Beatles justice.

  • This is NOT live, the guitars don't have the cords coming out of them. Back in the early 60's there were no wireless guitars feeding the am;ps.

  • i hate u

  • why would you not post the whole thing?

  • I don't want to give this a thumbs down because it's a Beatles song... but I don't want to like this... because this video is utter crap.

    ....whatever.

  • a complete ABORTION!!!! FUCKALLLLL,CUNT!

  • What the fuck ???

  • golly this sux!

  • Why?

  • Could any one song be any more mangled?

  • come on! i looked this up on youtube for better quality! it sunds just like my album! skipety skip skip!

  • thankyou for this video, not many people are grateful to see rare video footage of the beatles.

  • @nightcrawler511 its not rare it's from a hard days night?

  • @pheelyfan1 yea but not like from this angle , ya know?

  • @nightcrawler511 ahh i see.

  • @pheelyfan1 i never saw this in AHDN ? the scenery doesn't look familiar....

  • nice to see some footage

  • What the hell is wrong with this video/sound?

  • Hey...what do you all expect? After all, this one was uploaded by The Beatles' gardner.

  • What was that torn-up mess?

  • I should have known better than to get sucked into falling for this as being "live". Yeah, ok, maybe, but it's been gutted and muted more than someone squealing on the mob. It's like an entertainer coming out on stage, and saying, "I't's really great to be here, now goodnight".

  • You destroyed a great song.

  • @memeigd Actually it's a mediocre song. Note that few artists record "I Should Have Known Better". It just sounds great because the Beatles are singing it. The Beatles had the Midas touch. They could make a song written by Bruce Springsteen sound great.

  • Wow.. Love The Editing.

  • It sounds like Hold On by Green Day

  • @RankielGuitar You mean, Hold on sounds Like I Should have Know Better..

  • @LostSuitCase yeah probably

  • Thats not live. The sound is recorded but sounds live because of the acoustics in the room.

  • Beatles were good but.....honestly...Led Zeppelin...The Rolling Stones...surely they are the masters

  • @wjc1963 man, got to hear more Beatles' records ;)

But, indeed, they all were trailblazers, true legends!

  • @wjc1963 dude you gotta listen to more beatles, THEY are the masters. led zeppelin and the stones are good too

  • it's just playback !!

  • it's just playback !!

  • My god! THE RAREST video I've seen for months!

Ignore the stupid "why did you post that" comments.

These people are obviously dumb Bieber fans.

    You're the greatest!

  • This version sucks!

  • its not live where are the mics?

  • crap!!!!!

  • It's not live. Despite the poor quality and chopped-up sequence, the audio is recognizable as being identical to the studio version, right down to George's guitar break and John's double-tracked vocal. They were miming. They had to do that on a lot on British TV programs, for various silly reasons. So did a lot of bands until comparatively recently.

  • SUXXXXXX!!!

  • oh my gosh did you RECORD THIS YOURSELF???

  • yeah, this is definately not live....they are not even hooked up to any amplifiers

  • Oh no?

I just read, and I will post it here, the Beatles repertoire for the fall 1964 tour of the United Kingdom...

Twist&Shout,Money,Can't buy me,Things we said today,Im Happy just to dance with you,I should have known better,If I fell,I wanna be your man,Hard days night and Long Tall....this is on page 178 of the book entitled The Beatles Live....

    C'mon dude....get with the program.

  • This isn't live. There aren't any mics or cords but it is a rare look though.

  • In the movie The Complete Beatles - 1982 - they described The Beatles as good......very good to the backdrop of this clip. It came over very well. And - of course - was spot on. I think Andy McDowell did the narration.

  • In the movie The Complete Beatles - 1982 - they described The Beatles as good......very good to the backdrop of this clip. It came over very well. And - of course - was spot on. I think Andy McDowell did the narration.

  • This footage is incredibly 'RARE'....there are virtually no videos, audios,or otherwise of the boys doing shows in the Fall of 1964,and they played many....not even of all those 1964 Christmas shows! There must be some footage or pro shot of the boys during Fall 64/Winter 65...right ??

  • @thebigsuperbeatle

they never played this song live, it's just another angle from the movie scene.

  • I dont care what the rest says,I liked this video

  • Why is this even here?

  • have you lost your mind? This wasn't even worth posting.

  • Interesting footage. Clearly shot behind-the-scenes during a promo film shoot. Looks like a control room vantage point. A description of the source probably would've helped the haters understand this video. Thx 4 the up!

  • Why would you even bother putting this up?

  • @MacWillyFortunes RARA FOOTAGE DIPWAD!!!!

  • Please take this off as it does them NO justice..they were much better than that!!

  • Are kidding with these ratings? Lots of brain dead people out there!!!

  • This was recorded with one camera! :D

  • JUNK

  • @worldcitizenforever I tried to look like a dick you cunt suck.

  • @worldcitizenforever You must smoke joints when you write these comments, or you just haven't made it past 3rd grade yet since you don't make any sense. Your grammar is terrible. What is a Bitle? And you said Gays for bitches, not Gays n' bitches. Good luck in the future you little prick.

  • @worldcitizenforever God, you are so stupid. You post on some many Beatles videos. GET A LIFE! You don't even make sense anymore. "Gay For Bitches" doesn't make any sense.

  • Hey, hey, Johnny! Harmonica on holder!

  • certainly not live.

  • why did you post this.

  • and the complete video

    ????

  • Can anyone please tell me what TV show this performance is from? THANKS! :)

  • @BeatlesGirlx1965 This is from 'Hard Day's Night" movie.

  • @gdholmfirth No it's from a TV show they have different hair and suits

  • @BeatlesGirlx1965: this is from their 1964 MOVIE, A Hard Day's night. Look up the actual footage. this doesn't do it justice.

  • @xemily91 no it's not... it's from around 1965. look up their 'long' hairs.

  • @donletmedon: it isn't from their movie, you're right. I don't know if it's 1965. They stopped touring around then. Somewhere around then.

  • The beatles were a case where the planets were in perfect alignment an absolutly amazing amalgamation never to be repeated.

  • look at john 0:17

  • eww

  • What a pile of pants

  • INCREDIBLE : ]

  • Where's the rest of it?

  • wat the hell?

  • This is chopped to pieces. What's the point of doing this? Are you stupid?

  • I'm really curious, what did NonStopRocker say? :P

  • What's the point of uploading a chopped up clip with nearly no vocals at all?

  • A little rare Beatles footage is better than none. If I want to hear this song in its entirety, I can do so at home- it's not important. I'm just glad that some fan filmed this brief snippet. Clearly, they're miming here.

I had never seen this before. Thanks!!

  • when was wireless invented? maybe they are just singing and theres a band behind them minus ringo? does anyone else notice this

  • theres never any wires comming from their microphones or guitars live in any of these videos on youtube, perhaps the beatles are not all that meets the eye.

  • of course it was lipsynced...many of there tv shows were...but they still wrote and recorded the song numbnuts!

  • Crap.....lame..........fail,

    flush.

  • @NonStopRocker

hey man good on u for standing up to wankers who dont like the beatles like that faggot good on u

  • @Thejbirdy

Nonstoprocker has been using homosexual references which speaks volumes about what is really on his mind.

I guess he is very angry because he hates that he is gay in truth, thus his removal of his words.

  • Eh.. The song is gone and it´s just 29 sekunds..

  • looks john at 0:18

  • yeah you can tell cause there guitar chords arn't plugged into there guitars or no amps

  • greateste band of the world love they

  • ...?

  • i hope you die asshole

  • ahh perfect "Greeday"...they sold out punk for AR guys cash. This Record comapny forced video is the reason the Bealtes broke up dummy. Can you Imagine John Lennon dressed in a costume, lipsynching in his post beatles solo career? Learn some history azz

  • I was just thinking if there were any outtakes of their performances and stumbled on this one. to me, it is like watching jesus preach.

  • @jx14aby Oh Yes. My favorite, the Multiple Personality or Schizophrenic Jesus.

  • @curtispsf

    lol! How true!

  • WTF is this from? Nice..

  • No other band has since come close to the talent and charisma of this band. They were just amazing

  • @westfield90 I completely agree with you. BEATLES FOREVER!!!!!

  • No one can ever match this Band's style&tone ever!

  • This is from October 14,1964.The Beatles are lyp-

syncing the song"I Should Have Knwon Better" for the TV show"Scene At 6:30"...

  • thanks for the info..i've never ever seen this clip and ive seen most of whats out there....

  • maybe it was filmed on that date, but it wasnt aired until the 16th.

  • this is definitely NOT a live performance... they are lip syncing ... :) yeah, i think it's a hard day's night set

  • why the hell would you even post that its not even the whole song.

  • this looks like it's on the hard day's night set

  • live without any microphones,hahaha... nice vid though

  • Live my ass, they`re miming!!!

  • my heroes

  • playback?

  • son lo maximo los the beatles

  • Oh Thahks !! George is the best .

  • The clip dates from either before or after the filming of A Hard Day's Night - John's hair is longer than in the film.

  • i think he need a hair cut

  • Why would they bother miming to this song when is was already so old?

  • 44 years ago isn't that old 200 years yes. 44 no

  • This seems like October or November 1964, what why would they advertise if it was recorded in February 1964. That's what I meant.

  • yes. it did apear on the first beatles film, hard days night, as the third song.

  • xjnews, are you stupid?

  • actually I'm pretty sure it appeared on the A hard day's night movie.

  • NO is a TV Show

  • I Watched The Movie Like 8000000 Times They Are On The Train Playing Cards When They Sing This Song

  • lol I watched it a lot of times too, I know they're playing cards when they sing it,

but at the end they're performing some songs from the album and this is one of them, and it seems pretty smiliar to that part

  • Yeah When They Sing Like She Loves You,and tell me why and stuf but i dont think hats it but idk

  • So have I, I love that scene!!

  • this isn't live. they aren't even plugged into amps. they are probably doing a music video kinda thing.

  • Tv is live too

  • but ¿the microphones?

  • Sweet you have this song we like it a lot. We have been inspired by their work. Come check out our songs. :)

Oh yeah help us out we don't have a name yet, none of our choices work but we would love to here from anyone. go to our page for more info.

  • aff...cortes..

    ¬¬

  • wtf??

  • agreed. I have not seen this before! Thanks for posting it!!

  • Does anyone know where this footage comes from I've never seen it before. We all know it's not live, but it is cool since you think you've seen ever thing then something like thins comes out very rare.

Can anyone help me determine where this footage is from

    Thanks

  • This footage comes from the Granada archives. The edited mimed performance seen here survives as a complete performance. Additionally, there are segments of the song being mimed in 'rehearsal' clothing with John sporting sunglasses, and moments of them having a cigarette off set. As far as I know, it is not commercially available. A brief portion of john 'pulling a face' (shot from the studio floor) is seen in Anthology.

  • I hope to see real live recorded someday!

  • Thanks for posting this. It may be from the "Eye of the Hurricane" DVD and is probably all that has survived. John appears to be lipsinking to it. Maybe someone has the TV program this was part of.

    Thanks!

  • esta bien pero solo que les falto cinta en fin traten otra vez, ya merito little by little, he he he

  • fucked up editing but great try

  • Live?... huh?

  • ummmm?????
