  • Good job with the Enterprise-B. Shes just as beautiful as her sister -A

  • I like how you used the music from Raise The Titanic. :)

  • @jmp678 Dirk Pitt meets Star Trek = Testosterone Tidal Wave.

  • Cool Video! Nice Ship!

  • Very Good! And nicely put together..."The Continuing Voyages Of The Starship Enterprise-B."..."Star Trek Always & Forever!" :)

  • "The Big-B" I like it. That nickname fits.

  • What ship is that, alongside her, on the left? Looks like Reliant.

  • @85dodgeroyal probably an Miranda class vessel of unknown registry

  • Thanks, you've just given me some inspiration for a Star Trek series featuring the crew, or a crew of the Enterprise-B

  • Captain Kirk is alive in the Nexus with "David" Miranda,Soyuz and Excelsior class are my favourites

  • I wish they'd make a 2nd BC :D

  • nicely done

  • I've noticed that the Excelsior in ST VI & Enterprise B in generations have similar bridges, size being one and some of the design layouts minus CPT Sulu's coffee table however the hull's are different. The Excelsior in ST III & ST VI have similar designs except for the bridge on ST III shows a complete different layout and much larger from the other two. Which one is the original and which is the refit??? So we have different hulls/bridges and verticle distance of the warp nacelles. *Anyone :|

  • You did a beautiful job, and it is a nearly-inexplicably attractive ship, to echo tartan11463's comment

  • if you pause at 0:16 exactly isnt that a pre-refit exelsior class unlike the Enterprise B which is Post-refit?

  • Well done. I Still think to this day, that all the Federation Designs for starships make them look like they sail though space. They don't look like clunky ships. All of them seem to me to be graceful ships that belong in space.

  • What is the first song of the video?

I mean before the Music of Titanic rising!

    thanks

  • Sorry But I still see the Titanic rising out of the sea with this sound track from Raise the Titanic

  • Just think what shipyard people thought....."i just built this thing, and you already broke it?....!!!!!!!!!"

  • This Enterprise was nearly destroyed by the nexus while rescuing El Aurian refugees.

  • the Enterprise-B sucks. The Excelsior class sucks. It looks ugly. The galaxy/ambassador class ships look better

  • @MrHoppers002 you have no faith in star trek if you dont like excelsior class thats how galaxy and ambassador came around too because excelsior was the prototype for transwarp drive which galaxy and ambassador class have and if it wasnt for excelsior class there would be no galaxy/ambassador class ships

  • well i like the miranda class, the constitution class, sovereign class, and the nx-class ships. at least they look streamlined.

  • @legoguy8114 ummm, No, Ambassador Class and Galaxy Class never had transwarp. The first ship even remotly able to use transwarp technology was Voyager, and even then they had to steal parts from the Borg to make it work.

  • @translucentorb what? really? when i was readin one of those starfleet technical manuals it said that galaxy and ambassador AND mark II excelsior class ( or ent-b ) had transwarp

  • @legoguy8114 I don't think its considered canon unless its been shown on screen. Also if the Enterprise-D had transwarp they would have been able to outrun a cube very easily, but the fastest they could go was like warp 9.96. Also never mentions it in the enterprise d tecnical maual.

  • The best seen's of big "E"

But what happened to her after generations?

It would be grate for a new tv show"

    Since enterprise went to soon!

They never gave Ent-C a chance for a movie just a glimps on tng!

What do you say on a ent b trek tv show?"

Or a mirror mirror alt trek show ?"

    From r olson

  • She certainly hauled ASS!!!

  • Is it possible to do a video with the NSEA Protector mod? I know that's a random question. The dry dock scene made me wonder about that, is all.

  • Good choice of music raise the titanic, pluse good film

  • I realize I am a little behind the 8 ball here. but RM80m u never cease to amaze me.. Awesome video.

  • Also nice usage of the "Raise the Titanic" theme!

  • @katakisLives yea,i got that too

  • Great vid! there aren't many that involve the USS enterprise B! its an interesting design! they never really explain why it looks slightly different from the usual class design! I guess it was to differentiate the Enterprise from other Excelsior class vessels! I've never seen another like it.

  • @katakisLives The extra impulse engines were added due to poor performance of the saucer on its own, and the flares on the secondary hull are for extra labartory and science space.

  • The next Star Trek series? Really, really cool video!

  • What they should of done was takin the BOTTOM of the C and made that into the B. Going back to an old style deflector dish didnt make sense, but between gene roddenberry dying too soon and too many things going on at Star Trek, they didnt have time to keep things in chronological order. Instead, we got what we got.

  • I really like this, Its a rare NCC-1701-B video. I'm a big star trek fan and critic, this one is very good. I dont go by books. They should of made a spin off from Next Generation for enterprise B & C instead of DS9 and Voyage or Enterprise, they could of done that a whole lot later, if they would of done that, we would still have Star Trek TV instead of worrying about what the next new movie is gonna be like.

  • SHOOOOOOOOOWWWW!!!!!!! duude that was fantastic! hey one thing i realy wanna see... look up the video star trek protector, its trailer... have to use that ship.... that would be nuts. thanx again you are the bomb digity! BEAST!!!

  • nice soundtrack...from the movie...rise the titanic!nice hmm two ships with bad start

  • well gents, i have some bad news: after reading the official history of the "B" (which is in a new book available at B&N), it turns out she was lost in space after the crew contracted some kind of plague, true fate not known.....

  • @ShelbyEleanor500 haha, i read that in "the official STNG handbook" about 20 years ago. a short lived, undistinguished career that ended with " a garbled message". the ship was declared lost. poor old Capt. Harriman eh?

  • @raverdeath100

Bah! Alan Ruck was a smart ass captain anyway lol.

  • @RifleMan80 wasn't he just. great channel by the way. all power to your grafix card. lol

  • @raverdeath100 indeed, though according to the new book that's been released, there were three other captains to the "B", harriman stepped aside after the maiden voyage and as far as undistinguished.......according to the new book, the "B" had a cloaking device installed which led to the treaty between the federation and the romulans, banning the federation from having cloaking technology. but yes, poor harriman

  • @ShelbyEleanor500 methinks i have some catching up to do. lol

  • @raverdeath100 indeed, the book was written or edited by the same people who wrote the ST encyclopedia, and to make it worth a laugh, they made it like a "Hayes Owners Manual" for the enterprises (except the j.j. abrams one)

  • @raverdeath100 Harriman stepped down from the Captaincy after the Tomed Incident. Demura Sulu took over as Captain for a short time.

  • would definitely prefer it if she was decomissioned instead of destroyed

  • Any ship bearing the NCC-1701 notation are great

  • Capt. Harriman struck me as a strictly by the book and very cautious type of captain, probably fresh out of the academy too

  • the excelsior is a graceful ship i'll give you that, guess the designers wanted to make the enterprise-b unique, which is a rarity compared to the rest of the classes.

  • I'm in the minority here, but I think they just should have kept Enterprise-B as a raw Excelsior-class, and not meddle with the graces of that design.

  • just watched generations again and heard scotty say some very prominent things about the Big B..."damn fine ship if you ask me." when i heard that i had to do a double take because only a short while ago, scotty called the excelsior a bucket of bolts, so quite the switch....

  • i cryed when i saw this thank you sooooooo much!

  • it's good to see so many fans out there of the enterprise b, i was a kid when this movie came out and the first thing i stated doing was bugging my parents for the playmates light and sound toy, still have it and it's interesting to see the differences they have: the toy is actually named the excelsior (facepalm) and the "frills" around the deflector actually extend out like fangs.....interesting, anyway, thanks for the vid man

  • Hmm... I wonder whatever happened to the Enterprise-B. Obviously wasn't around when Enterprise-C appeared in Yesterday's Enterprise.

  • @Psycopath22 Well hopefully it got a new captain!

  • @stafflvr Actually, according to the books written on the Enterprise B, Harriman remained the captain until after the Tomed Incident with the Romulans 2311, he stepped down and Demora Sulu is given the Command.

  • @Psycopath22 Based on the information I managed to get, the only information on the Enterprise B is on the books written after the movie Generations. The Excelsior class itself didn't remain the top of the line class for that long due to the successful construction of the Ambassador class Which took over. There is no record of how the Enterprise B ended as far as I can tell, but I'd guess if it wasn't destroyed then was likely decommissioned.

  • @Psycopath22 The Enterprise B's was decommissioned/destroyed 2330 Meaning the Enterprise C was commissioned shortly after that. But no information on whether it was destroyed or Decommissioned.

  • @Teloreth The fact that Enterprise C was commissioned and launched so quickly after the loss of Enterprise B would indicate that she was going to be decommissioned soon anyway. The ship was launched in 2293 and was lost in 2329-30 so, she served almost as long as the Original Enterprise.

  • Amazing huge class, at it's time. Too bad that the young engineers could not do things right the first time when either fixing, or making sure that EVERYTHING, was installed in these ships before Tuesday... ;) ! But, like people say.....can't get good services like back in the old days. I've also noticed that anytime a new Trek movie comes out some of the ships, or other things, would be on the next Trek series (episodes). You would think that there should be new ones. I guess budget cuts.

  • I always liked the Excelsior class. Beautiful ship. The upgrades made to create the Enterprise-B gave the ship a more substantial muscular look. I like it a lot. The "B" may be my second favorite Enterprise after the TOS version.

  • uss enterprise-A got decommissioned, where did the uss enterprise-b come from

  • @jonesphillip25 Enterprise B was build to replace the Enterprise A would be my best guess. In fact the Excelsior class itself was meant to replace the Constitution class because the Constitution class was severely out of date and was incapable of undergoing any more refits that would make it stronger and ultimately easier to build a new class to replace it.

  • What an elegant design the B had. In a way representative of early 20th century craft styling: airplanes, ships and cars.

    Nice one RifleMan :)

  • You gotta love the Enterprise B.

I was always a little sad we didnt see much of it on screen, but was so happy to see this model again in Ds9 (Uss Lakota).

Great video. Really cool that you got the deflector area damaged like in Generations. I have that same model in my BC. The quality is stunning.

    Good job ! : )

  • Absolutely beautiful! As always good job RifleMan!!!!!

  • I love that B-ig, B-eautiful shp! Been my favorite enterprise ever since I saw generations years ago. Great vid!

  • I think Enterprise-B is the most beautiful ship in Star Trek.

  • @tartan11463 Enteprise D is the best and the A is the next and EVERYTHING on B didnt arive til tuesday so it sucked.

  • @tartan11463 I don't understand how you can say that when there are countless excelsior class starships

  • @tartan11463 no enterprise (alternate reality is the most gorgeous one

  • @MrSvingy enterprise alternate reality looks like a toy on space.. it's the scaling is wrong, the engineering is too primitive, the bridge is too modern.. and it's bigger than 24th century Galaxy Class.. it's too big for it's time..

    JJ messed up Star Trek

  • @rifqi23cool if you think that jj abrams messed up star trek then you are messed upp. jj is a genious he added real lights to the warp engines, bridge and much moore so if you think that im crazy go ahead but dont even thik about messing with J.J abrams he brought star trek to a totaly different reality and i have seen all star trek moovies

  • @MrSvingy if JJ is genius, why does the bridge is so contrast with the engineering?

the alternate constitution has an engine room like a 19th century aircraft carrier, or worse, it looks like an alcohol distillation factory

  • @rifqi23cool

The new Enterprise's engineering IS a alcohol distillation factory lol. I think its a beer plant.

  • @rifqi23cool they shot it at a beer factory irl :) check out Blu-ray extras they say it there :)

  • @rifqi23cool

You should be grateful for the reboot. JJ Abrams revived the franchise. Secondly, it was made for casual fans, new blood. You should blame Rick Berman how he hired an editor ( Stuart Baird) to mess up the last TNG movie. He almost killed the franchise with the stupid prequel, ST: Enterprise.

I like the changes to 2009 Enterprise alot.

  • @spoonmonkey14

I don't wanna get too wrapped up in this, but ENT was a good idea, just badly executed on a lot of levels; it only really started to shine in Season 4.

Nemesis suffered from pacing, being too moody/serious about itself, and too loose of a script with a lot fo inconsistencies.

By contrast, the more I look at the JJ-verse, the more I get pissed because he hasn't really solved any of the plaguing problems of the main universe by keeping it connected through canon!

  • @rifqi23cool I don't agree with you, I think your letting the camera angles present a larger then normal ship. Enterprise B is an Excelsior class ship. It is not larger then a Galaxy class ship. There is an episode in DS9 (wish I could remember the name) Where Defiant flies over a Galaxy class and Excelsior ship and you can see the size difference. The Camera Angles are just making it look larger then it is.

  • @triwise I believe he's referring to the 2009 Constitution refit from the JJ Abrams film - not the Enterprise B. Which would be correct as they did scale it up to well above the size of a Galaxy Class.

  • @rifqi23cool

    Wow...nitpicky, much?

So, who you preferred to do it better, then? George Lucas? Michael Bay? Uwe Boll? Steven Spielberg? Peter Jackson? James Cameron? Be glad someone decided to do it then leave the series in the shadows. I can understand your complaints, nothing will beat the original and nothing will but don't let it get to your head.

  • @rifqi23cool In actuallity, no they didn't. If you remember when they zoomed out of the bridge into space in the movie, you can clearly see that the scaling of the JJprise is to scale with TOS Enterprise. If it had been bigger than a Galaxy class starship, the bridge would be much smaller in comparison to the rest of the saucer section. They got the scaling correct.

  • too bad everything on the B didn't arrive till Tuesday

  • @zachray263 exactly what I was gonna say...hahah!!

  • @zachray263 Stupid Starfleet schedulers! :p

  • Wow I didnt know anyone else knew of the obscured "Raise the Titanic" film. Nicely added there.

  • RAISE THE TITANIC MUSIC NICE TOUCH

  • Excellent Enterprise B rocks and is one of the best Enterprise ships of them all except for the Galaxy but that is just my bias.

  • The Enterprise-B was always my favorite. Thank U 4 the wonderful video. More, please?

  • im not fond of the excelsior class cause i find its nacelles to be out of proportion with the rest of the ship... however i too would like to see more of this ship since there is very little known about it

  • @ puckheadDan

Thats personally what I love about the ship. The length of the nacelles give the ship a very elongated and sleek look.

I guess everyone has different tastes : )

  • I want more of the Enterprise B.

  • Excellent attention to detail there! I would love to see a series on 1701-B!

  • Yeah me too....

Would be a good follow on from the movie too... Capture the imagination of old fans and the movie buffs.

  • Man rifleman, you just keep outdoing yourself man. Keep it up.

  • Finally we have some light on the Big-B!

  • very cool

  • ooh, a new beginning for Big-B...awesome!

  • Thats great, i like the music from "raise the titanic". :)

  • lookin good

  • First view, rate, and comment.

    Another awesome vid Rifleman! =)
