My theory here is that the parrot saw the turtle walking along the edge of the table and it took that as it wanting to fly off the edge but being afraid, like young birds. So it's instinct to push it of the edge kicked in. Some birds do that, if the young keep hesitating to take that first flight, they will push them off. This is what happened here, you can see in the beginning how it tries to encourage the turtle with its beak.

I have cared for over 60 species of turtle, have rescued and brought them back to health, and have had years experience with them. I understand that their shells are sensitive, but that turtle did not have sufficient weight, distance, or hard ground to get hurt, and it was hilarious. Don't get me wrong, I love nature and care for turtles and all types of chenolian, but you are being way too sensitive here.
