  • LINUX IS EVEN WORSE THEN WINDOWS AND WINDOWS IS ALSO FUCKING RETARDED

  • @1234567abc3

You didn't know where you are talking about ;)

  • @Markcortbass shut the fuck up you gay piece of shit

  • I wish there was just 1 computer program so there is no flame wars.

  • I agree, Linux is kick f*cking ass. But running things like steam.. Will never work, even with wine... But again, there always is VM.

  • My Windows work fine. I clean them regularly. I maintain the tracks so they open smooth first time every time. I love Windows. They let the sunshine in...and my Windows are very secure. I have safety locks on them that I installed myself!

  • Linux does not all games Fails

  • I hate how Linux cant play DVD's and mp3's and most other everyday formats without downloading potentially illegal codecs. No thanks. It may be few programmers/hackers favorite, but its a consumers worst nightmare. I like how its free and can run on almost every computer, new or old, but its not exactly the most consumer friendly os, and support is kinda non existent. Shady online forums are basically your only source of answers. You get what you pay for. And yeah, the sound & drivers sucks

  • @rahmanroni So what disks can Linux play?

  • @rahmanroni

You are a windows fanboy? You have no idea where you are talking about. The codecs like .wma .wmv have copyrights. So they are not installed as standard.

ubuntu has a lot more support. And therefore less individual drivers. Windows has a lot more work to do, to be functional.

  • @Markcortbass I know its copyrighted, and thats my point. Although linux is great in the way that its free and very light, it has many bottlenecks when it comes to things like that and support. Now you can argue whether or not this is linuxs fault or its the fault of the companies that copyrighted these very common formats, but the fact remains, it cant play them out of the box. And some people who are less computer savvy will have problems getting support, having to search through random forums

  • @rahmanroni fuck the computer illiterate, if they aren't prepared to learn they can pay for windows like the rest of the mugs

  • Linux as a server is gr8, for the Desktop most people will stick with Windwos 7 or OSX.

  • I used Ubuntu for 3 years now. I heard Gentoo speed should be very impressive. I tried to port all games to linux - it does not really work. So my setup is dual boot - linux for work and windows for games. Initially i needed to use a program only for lin. But i stuck with it, due to hanging in win and it just seems like win (xp) constantly tried to piss me off. Hanging when most annoying, installation problems, win driver vs third party drivers etc. Maybe i just dont speek windows...

  • can linux play almost all games noooo does it run i tunes noooooooo it may not have a blue screen but it has memory dumps

  • @sorecorrupted Can windows run almost all Linux apps? NOoooooo

I'd be using windows if it supported the apps I'm using right nowd

  • I'm a huge fan of linux, but basing your whole WINDOZE SUX LINUX ROX theory off of compiz is getting old and retarded.

Really, it's not an option for any commercial (other then servers) or personal application. I put it on kids computers and internet machines and that's about it.

  • Beatuful GNU/Linux, especially Gentoo, but I wasn´t able to make somethings works as in Windows. Sorry. Anyway I love Linux

  • whats the name of that song and who sings it

  • @11100shiny

It is preference, but we're all on the same Linux side, no need to fight over that.

  • Those nvidia drivers causes my crt to be way too bright, and even when I dim the display,it causes my eyes to hurt and gives me a headache.

    Linux is very painful.

  • windows can do a hell of a lot more than linux can do, anyday, linux just looks pretty is all, poor driver support, stupid needed terminal usage with complex strings. come on, we are past Unix days.

  • Hardware support in Linux is pretty good these days, but it still sucks compared to Windows with its 90% userbase. Plus I know people say you can break Windows easily, but I never found that, if anything I was able to break Linux very easily and I didn't do anything that bad either, plus installing stuff in Linux from outside a repository is destined to break the OS. If they want to take on Windows they need to band together rather than having hundreds of ditros, it won't help them one bit.

  • @TaliesinLord

I fully agree, when I first used Linux I broke it pretty much straight away. Restarted my computer and bam! got a load of stuff telling me there was errors and didnt proceed to boot...

  • @TaliesinLord

I guess ive had bad luck with drivers, graphics card wasnt detected so i couldnt use Compiz with full on visual effects and sometimes my sound wouldnt work and on my mams computer her network driver didnt work. I agree about the distro's aswell. they need to combined it into ONE, one only, otherwise people are gunna be clueless as to what is most up to date and which is recommended and which is perfect for their needs.

  • @kibblecat1234

Windows can do a hell of a lot more than Linux?

-No, simply no, there is a free, just as good if not better alternative to everything you can get on your precious windows, with a couple exceptions. Then again there is stuff on Linux, you can't do on windows.

    Poor Driver Support?

-No again. I have a Nvidia graphics card I got not that long ago. I put it in, turn on my computer, a message comes up on the screen that I need a driver, I click it, it installs, easy as that.

  • @kibblecat1234

There isn't unneeded terminal usage, if you HAVE to use it, you can get the codes and copy and paste. If you can't figure out copying and pasting, you don't even belong on Winblows.

    Past Unix Days?

-perhaps we are past Unix days, this is Linux, Not Unix, two very different things,

Try and no a thing or two before you run your mouth.

  • I know what I'm on about, i can a sure you windows is better in many ways and bad in some ways, but overall windows is better, Linux = Directx = fail, that stand alone makes Linux blow. plus Linux likes to fail randomly, i.e. you boot your computer and get a load of errors, I've never had any success with Linux, perhaps because it didn't do any of the thing I could do on windows? THAT IS MY POINT!

  • @kibblecat1234

Well, at the moment Linux is working to make their operating systems work with people of lower iq's (retarded). So until then, yes you should probably stick to windows. Idk how you could have so many problems unless your just pure stupid.

  • You're the one with the low IQ because you have to be completely rude, you can't accept the fact Linux just doesn't work with me, you're the retarded one. Period.

  • @kibblecat1234

Well I mean if you can't figure out a graphical operating system that is far more stable than windows or mac, it must be assumed, that your a retard.

  • I've never had any major issues with Windows though with Linux I've hit loads of bumps a long the way, this is my opinion mate, you just must be lucky. I am saying I've had problems with it. Please don't take offence.

  • @kibblecat1234

I'm not lucky... Linux is a solid system. It is in no way as error prone as windows, and it freezes less. It's all around more reliale, that is why almost every website's server is Linux, because it's reliable.

  • Fair enough mate, but you have to understand my point and not underestimate it, Linux is pretty and is cool but the novelty wears off after a while, its a great OS for general usage i.e. word processing, internet browsing but anything else... it just doesn't do it, it doesn't have the capability to bring DX11 to the table. It is for sure not a gaming OS, for damn sure in fact, due to its OpenGL only. I am a gamer and have built a gaming pc just for that, so Linux doesn't meet my needs, get me?

  • @kibblecat1234

The games that work on Linux. Work better than they would on windows...

Given some games yeah they don't work on Linux, but even on wine the work better than they would on Windows.

  • @kibblecat1234 exactly, Windows is only good to play newer games. If you actually want to get work done and have control of your computer, there's Linux. :)

  • You must be smart enough to install GNU/Linux, that why you have NOT been able to.

    Shame on you.

    A fair exmple would be GNU/Linux Gentoo-Hardened.

You love Bill Gay to spy on you.

  • @samotaeC

    You talking to me?

  • plus gaming on Linux is POOR compared to Windows, Linux has potential and is very good for open-source, but it isn't quite there yet. (this is all opinion and experience based) I don't hate Linux its just never done what I wanted it to do.

  • kde sucks, gnoe is the best...kde's taskbar is to crouded y know?

  • yeah its taste.

    i use kubuntu

plus you know that we can fix, change and delete whatever we want. so my bar isnt too crowded.

  • LOL, I have that background. Not set as my current but I have it saved. I love that pic.

Windoze is only good for gaming. xD

  • ASM is a joke, I took that last semester and it was super easy. Just have to understand how ram works!

  • rep linux.

rep short dog in the houseeeee

  • is this the only reason u use linux for the effects

  • Nope, security, integrity, usability, and it gives BJ's, So why you use Windows! ;P

  • Wobbly Windows are Like a beatyfull Wobbly ass

  • Crunked South Video ;P

  • For Shizzle!

  • Thanks for your narrow-minded generalisations, but don't try to pass them off as fact ;)

  • Keep it real, it can't beat compiz!

  • dude u suck not windows!

is these the arguments u put at ? some desktop effects ? witch u can GET IN WINDOWS too . "if u want ". i like linux , but for me linux sucks , u know why ?

    GAMES GAMES GAMES.

  • i like linux too but those wannabe impressive linux-rox-because-its-so-3d are really annoying. and i have to admit... when it comes to games, theres not so much commercial going on on linux.

  • So, it's just ganksta if you can run Gentoo with tight compiz effects, lets keep it real linux is hard widows is plug-n-noob. I did it for the experience, not for the effects! :O

  • @antuboy Windows is for games. For everything else, there is Linux. I used to be a gamer until I discovered Linux. To many cool things to do in Linux to even worry about games.

  • It's called get a life, maybe get laid, just a vid! :D

  • linux power !!

  • :D More words to fill an algorithm!

  • Nice! I've been just using kwin composite lately since it runs well enough on xrender. No fancy graphics here until xorg gets their stuff together for r7xx chips.

  • :( algorithm buster!

  • nice background XD

  • Ya one of my favs. ;P

  • If it were up to Beastie (BSD mascot in your BG) Tux would be roasting over that fire. Linux is a joke in the FreeBSD/OpenBSD community.

  • It got rain drops, which is no joke!

P.S. FreeBSD is good unix, maybe you were to noob to handle ASM! ;P

  • LOL ....Asm...

  • @JamesManes Please stop such comments. The only party that benefits them is proprietary software companies. I'm always amazed why BSD fans hates Linux more then Widnows or MacOS. We're on the same side guys...

  • @mina86ng

No, Linux is a joke. It is terrible.

  • @JamesManes I am not going to participate in a flame war here. I am only asking that you utilize your energy on fighting proprietary software and helping Free and Open Source Software rather then fighting with a FOSS project.

  • @mina86ng

Free and Open Source doesn't mean anything to 90+% of the world. What gets the job done is, and opensource apparently doesn't as OS X and Windows are way more popular and more functional as a desktop OS. Computers are a tool for us to use. Not a religion, so defending opensource as if it were jesus is stupid when facts show that the paid for closed source model does a better job.

  • @JamesManes As I've said I won't take part in a flame war (especially since you failed to show the fact that prove your theory). I'd only like to clarify that MacOS X is not BSD nor BSD is MacOS X. The latter merely took parts of the former's kernel, that's all.

  • @mina86ng

Well actually... OS X is Darwin... kindof.

  • cool video
