Nice system. At first I thought you where one of the I7 jack-asses that think they are true 8 core processors which really are just 4 cores with a trick. You did build a awesome P2 Zeon system. One suggesting would be to add at least 8 more gigs of ram. As I use 16 in my machine and do use it all while editing video's & music. Looks like you have a good liquid cooling set up also.

The Zeon is better suited as a server or rendering CPU, as the i7 and QX Intel CPUs are much better gaming CPUs. But the Skulltrail Mobo is not just for servers they made 775 and 771 socket Skulltrail Mobos too.

Hi!! Ok this is a very powerfull pc but I think there's some proprieties that are..too much and you can have the same power with less money.

1. 24GB it's too much...8GB are sufficent for all..I have do a Maya scene of Hi poly Chartre's Notredame and want about 4gb.

2. Select one powerfull game nvidia board.. quadro versuion is good but the chip is the same..change only the bios and cost too much..the power is like game board versions...

at first I was wondering why you didnt have SLI but then I noticed you do mostly 3d rendering and such. I have a 3.0ghz quad core box and I render movies, and at 1920x1080 it still takes several hours. At first I wanted to wait for 8 core nehalems and a dual socket mobo in late 2009, but since that would be 32 virtual cores and most rendering progs use max 16, it would be a waste. nice job!

Hi,This machine cost to me about 1200€ but I was lucky to found this two xeon and 8gbram used from an Intel Presentation ...infact those are ES cpus..Engineering Sample.. so 700€Anyway now I have changed the Ram memory from 667 to 800mhz and I 've modify 4 RAMBOKS heatspreader for fb-dimm and now I go to 3.42ghz rock solid.Go to google and search "my dual Harper" and go to pag 59 of that Forum..you can see some nice pics!
