Neither of you two morons claims are legit. You can't say whether NH or SH rugby is better because they are different styles of play. Sure the stats would indicate that SH rugby is a little better as they tend to score more trys. But that is because of the running rugby that is dominant in the SH. However NH rugby is still very strong and teams like France, England and Ireland are super competitive when it comes to world cups. Super 15 is a whole other element to professional rugby.

@GuerillaGanja you obviously don't follow the super 15, there are 5-7 good teams in the league then you have clubs like the Bloemfontein Cheetahs and the Waikato Cheifs which arn't much chop because most of the international players have gone to the top teams like the Stormers, leaving a weak few teams that are rooted to the bottom of the table. The Cheetahs especially are stuck with only a few players like Kabamba Floors and Coenie Oosthuizen and the rest of the team are pretty ordinary

If a team like Australia is able to spread them wide they are in all sorts of trouble, i think Ireland's centres are tops but out wide could pose a problem when faced with the likes of James O Connor Lockie Turner. Defensively Ireland are still a very solid team and its hard to get a lot of tries on them

Australia are the only team definitely progressing past the group stage in that group although Ireland will be unlucky to be done by the italians. Im expecting a clean sweep for Oz until the semis, then the games begin

Winning the world cup does not make your team the best in the world. Sure, it's a great honor and no easy feat, but all it really means is you beat the teams you had a chance to play. I'm not worried if New Zealand doesn't win this world cup, because they have had the bledisloe since 2003, and they have won the tri nations 10 times out of the last 15 years, not even being beaten by the so called 'world champions' in the last tri nations. A consistent record like that, that shows a great team.

I rekon the biggest difference between the northern and southern hemisphere teams (and I'm an englishman) is the quality of the finishing. England are as good as anyone up front, but it's the souther devastating finishing that sets them apart.

This is where the AB's must hold. I hope they handle it this time

@GuerillaGanja yeh but Ireland's team isn't exactly balanced particularly at the breakdown i don't rate their props at all. If a team like Australia is able to spread them wide they are in all sorts of trouble, i think Ireland's centres are tops but out wide could pose a problem when faced with the likes of James O Connor Lockie Turner. Defensively Ireland are still a very solid team and its hard to get a lot of tries on them

@GuerillaGanja i follow both in the top leagues for both codes, the super 15 with 5 teams of SA, AUS and NZ and NRL. i have been following league since the early 1990's when the Canberra raiders were the king of the game and union i have followed for the past 6 years.
Australia are the only team definitely progressing past the group stage in that group although Ireland will be unlucky to be done by the italians. Im expecting a clean sweep for Oz until the semis, then the games begin

Winning the world cup does not make your team the best in the world. Sure, it's a great honor and no easy feat, but all it really means is you beat the teams you had a chance to play. I'm not worried if New Zealand doesn't win this world cup, because they have had the bledisloe since 2003, and they have won the tri nations 10 times out of the last 15 years, not even being beaten by the so called 'world champions' in the last tri nations. A consistent record like that, that shows a great team.

THE WORLD CUP is by no means an indicator of who is the best it only recognizes the team that prevails in their draw and wins on the day. Look at how many World Champions have been quickly put back in their place LMFAO. Yes NZ has a world cup and I guess all this says about the ABs thus far is that they don't handle Tournaments all that well and the pressure is huge for our boys so who knows maybe one day A DIAMOND squad will prevail for NZ in 2011. They've just adapted quicker than any other team, plus the new rules favour their style of play which has always been an attacking, running game. If they maintain this form, their main concern at the World Cup will be the mental pressure of facing teams who plan years ahead for that one confrontation and focus everything into those 80 minutes. This is where the AB's must hold. I hope they handle it this time

As I said before rugby teams go through cycles of form. Traditionally the AB hit top form in the 18 to 12 months before a WC and have struggled to maintain that form through to the WC itself. The ABs have traditionally beaten everyone comfortably in the year before a WC and then gone on to be booted in some inexplicable way. Maybe it will be different this time as it is at home....
