  • I don't understand why these sell for (comparatively) low prices, even when restored. Restoring them because you love them is great, but it would be nice of you could come close to getting the money back out.

I was just thinking that because I went to look at an old Buick Riviera last summer, and the guy had a big collection of derelict MGBs. Stacked like cordwood they were.

  • @pilatunes So many MGBs where built and had very little "rare" design changes. Also The car was intended to be a poor mans sports car. Although car like this in the video will bring 15-20K

  • That's a beauty of a car.

  • i am 15 and going to be in a few months. sometime this weekend, i am going to purchase a 1969 mgb. i am really excited. i have been saving my money forever :)

  • @EntreCourzeLS That's what I drive! Its a VERY fun ride but im still getting used to stick so I haven't enjoyed the car to its fullest yet

  • Your video and MG looked awesome . Here is my humble effort , I used a tie clip mic to help with sound . Regards ROY from Manchester UK

  • beaut video made by an MGB lover, BUT, tell us, American friend, why does your MG not have what we call Rubber Nose here in Australia. Also, your shot of engine bay did not appear to have all the anti-pollution crap your Government insisted on to take so much of the character off this beautiful little car?

  • @freddo3995 I know the MG Midget has the Rubber Nose, that is, the ones from the seventies do... maybe that's what you were thinking of?

  • @freddo3995 Its because it is a 67 B, the rubber bumpers didnt come in to use until 1974, which is also when all the anti-pollution extras were added

  • It's not easy living with an MG in nowadays traffic I admit.

But I think my MGB is the most usuable MG in this planet. Driven daily, on 34C summer in traffic jams with A/C on, to typhoon signal no: 10, she is with me all the way.

With the top down, listening to the roar of the exhaust or enjoying "Rainy days and Mondays" from The Carpenter, that is what motoring is all about. My advice

GET AN MG throw all your worries behind you and DRIVE

    Long Live MGB!!!!!

  • If you like MGB you should own one once in a life time. Tremedous car, a car for all seasons.

I had my first dream MGB roadster in the early eighties, but sold her after a month because I was greedy as someone gave me more for the car. I regard since.

After 20 yrs, in 2002 , I met the same car in the market and rebought the same car after the car turned hands 10 times!!

Now after 9 yrs I am still with the car, I treat her as if she lives, and she treats me well we are happy!

  • my dad has one a '66 but it hasn't been running in 30 years. I remember growing up he use to tell me stories of him racing a jaguar e-type and beating it on the turns. I can't wait till he gets it running again

  • I'd never swap my MGB Roadster for any other classic car!!!

  • I bought one exactly like this brand new, out of the showroom window, when I was 20 years old. My mother was afraid I would be killed in it because it was so small, so I eventually traded it in for a Dodge Charger. I was backing out of a driveway in the Charger and was hit by a car. I was thrown from the car and had a concussion. The car was a total loss. How I wish I had kept the MGB. I just loved that car. I would love to have another one.

  • Excellent video. Very well done. Enjoyed very much.

  • MGB =Unisex, Miata = Chick Car

  • @jimmy82022000 ..An MGB...is no Miata or a chick car...the only people that drive these cars on a regular basis....are all men, as with most MGs, like the TD and TC.

  • NO OFFENSE BUT THESE CARS ARE THE CRAP OF THE 20TH CENTURY RULED OVER BY THE PRINCE OF DARKNESS. Shake rattle and roll. Get a Miata. Much more reliable and better looking. To all who had these cars my condolenses.

  • @3shacks1house The MGB is a driver's car, has that mechanical feel that the Miata doesn't. If you're not acute to the feel of the road and the nuances of fine handling, then yes.. you'll hate the MG. I'm thinking you probably had a poorly maintained MG, OR one of the bad mid 70's models. The Miata is nice, but by comparison, the MG is a far better driving experience. The 1967 MGB in this video is the best of the best. And, they are extremely reliable!

  • @3shacks1house Matias are cute, But the MGB will turn more heads any day!

  • @3shacks1house Interesting comments. The real difference heere is that Madza design spent two thousand man hours trying to come up with an exhaust note to match an MG. Email me when you see your first restort Miata, it will never happen, thats the difference between an MG and a Jap veriation. They crush the Miatas. Of,, of course, I forgot, Miatas are and always will be the ultimate Chicks car thats all you see driving them. Enjoy your next Miata, you deserve one.

  • Lovely to see an unmolested original like my own 1965 B

  • I had a 66 and miss the living heck out of it... it was such a great car. Oh the old woulda, shoulda, coulda routine!

  • Beautiful car.

I've been looking for awhile. It's funny how much Californians **** up their cars.

It makes finding one in a usable condition difficult.

  • I had a '66 in British Racing Green, should've never sold it!

  • Wow! Great little vid with an appropriate choice of music. Thanks for the inpiration.

  • Dude i know this lady has one for sell for $1200

now that i see what it looks like restored im getting that definitely.

  • I bought one just like this brand new in 1967 for $2,188. Wish I had it now.

  • NICE!

Vid put a smile on my face and The Who!

  • use to have a mgb roadster 1977 but had to sell:(

  • OMG my mam has a mgb roadster she is getting it restored as we speak it should be nice when it is done.... The engine is painted green in my mams car and yours is red do you know y???

  • All MGB engines were painted red until 1971 when they changed and all were painted black. Someone must have rebuilt the engine and decided on green.

  • verry nice car , good music and nice video , love MGB

  • Looks like lots of fun. I am working on my '71 now, getting ready for paint. Thanks for posting, well done video.

  • top car 5 star

  • Excellent looking and sounding B. VA has some of the best driving back roads!
