  • can i have my digital camera back, you said after you made this vid i will get it back..

  • @phishst1cks This camera got smashed between my console and the power seat in my Silverado. Sorry.

  • Ten is for men.

  • I've shot everything from bb gun to 120mm tank cannon. Glock 20 with the 6" Lone Wolf barrel is my choice for handgun self defense and hunting. If I lived in Alaska, I'd carry a .454 Casull with the 10mm for backup.

I also have the Advantage Arms .22 long rifle conversion for my Glock 20. It replaces the slide and barrel, so you can shoot cheap .22 ammo, yet still have the trigger and functionality of the Glock frame. Fun for practice...

  • @Katrolis You are set up very efficiently. I like to imagine what I would start out with if I could build a collection from scratch and your G20 6" and Adv. Arms combination would be really nice to own. I can't believe I haven't bought one of those .22 conversions yet and I would love to use my G20c with a 6" BBL for Whitetail. the only handgun I ever shot a buck with was my Thompson Contender 10" 30-30.

    Thanks for your input.

  • @Katrolis now all you need is a guncrafter ind. 50gi converstion then you'll then youll cover perrity much everything

  • It's me again.. the guy with two Glock 19's thanks to you. Alright, about this Glock 20.: someone at the gun range told me that the Glock 20 can be converted to two other calibers with just a drop in barrel. That sounds very cool! So if one round goes into "shortage" mode, I'm not stuck. 1)- Is this true? 2)- If so, are there any disadvantages to shooting a converted-Glock 20? (like, does it function somewhat poorly?) and 3)- Does a Glock handle the 10mm without issue? Thanks!

  • @BfSkinnerPunk Take a look at Lone Wolf Distributors for some low cost Glock conversions. De-Glocking is not something I personally like to do but if I wanted to shoot some of my cast bullets in a Glock it would be the best way to do it safely. There are no problems shooting standard jacketed 10mm ammo in a Glock, they handle well and are very accurate.

  • damn right about the face slappin. that shit damn near makes my eyes close.

  • I think i will be getting the glock 20 just for the size.. I have a 29 that i traded my desert eagle .50 cal for.. (i got a brand new never fired ar-15 with it) but he had the 9x25 dillon lonewolf barrel with it and i can't decide which i like better.. i love them both!

  • OMG slow motion sounds like the old Atari Tank Game LOL

  • Wow, that's right! You just gave me a flashback to 1978!

I should have muted the audio during slow-motion.

  • @theKGB65 Well I am having a flashback to around 1980. Wow, what good times when America was still America.

  • I love my 20C.

  • Nice control. I like the 10mm. I don't have one but it's a great cartridge. I have a few Glocks and the 20 or 29 is on my wish list. Thanks for the vid!

  • Thank you for your kind remarks. It's a great feeling to own the most powerful Glock on the planet.

  • How is this caliber compared to the 357 sig, is the 10mm still more powerful or there just about the same.

  • Both the 357 Sig and 10mm Auto are capable of a wide range of performance. Only the most premium ammo in these cartridges come factory loaded near their actual maxumum and these brands cost from just over a dollar up to a few dollars per round. So, to answer your question the 10mm has the highest maximum energy potential but in terms of the average box of practice ammo the two are similar in power.

  • I recently chronographed some 10mm CCI Blazer 180 gn loads at only 970 fps, that's the same amount of power as a .40 S&W!

  • @theKGB65 Thank you for you quick response, I also want to know which one is a better ccw and how does the 10mm and 357 sig normally cost. and is the ammo for the 357 sig hard to find and is it costly to buy ammo.

  • If we are comparing Glocks to Glocks the 357 sigs are slimmer, lighter, and use lighter "9mm" bullets for less overall loaded weight than the 10's. The G29 is the roughly the same size as a G32 but loaded weight is almost 3 oz more with 3 less rounds capacity. Ammo is generally more plentiful for the 357 and walmart has Win white box, 50 rds for $26. I would choose the 10mm because I load my own practice ammo and handloading the 357 sig is not pleasant.

  • @Mr291229 10mm has more power.True Beast.

357sig not as hot as the 10 but certainly impressive ballistics. Very tame round to fire

    compared to 10mm...

  • Cool, sounds like NES =D

  • Nice. It looks like the compensation really tames the recoil.

  • 20c is my next buy... Do you know if the the ported barrel reduces velocity at all?

  • The ports do reduce muzzle velocity and I seem to remember reading somewhere that it was in the neighborhood of 50 fps which really is a nominal amount but I doubt that you can go by strict numbers anyway. I would say it would have to be expressed in percent-reduction. If I were considering a comp'd 10mm, my main concern would be with whether or not I could tolerate the increase in noise and muzzle blast. After all, the 10mm has power to spare.

  • For some reason the Glock 29 doesn't kick hard at all to me. I always read and see people saying it does for them...But owell I think the glock 29 is the best sub compact glock made...And thats just IMO so dont hate on me people.....

  • Recoil with my G29 was only a problem if my hands were really sweaty. Also, as far as recoil goes there is an incredible energy variance with the 10mm factory ammo. I recently chronographed the CCI Blazer, 200 gn. TMJ for a fellow bowling pin shooter at only 970 fps. As a side note, one of those Blazers bounced off a pin and hit a stand-by competitor in the leg with enough force to draw blood.

  • I carry a Glock 29 every day... Buffalo Bore Ammo 180gr. JHP...

  • Years ago I owned a new Glock 29 that I ended up trading for a used HK USP 45. It was a good deal for me but I sure miss that gun. I have a vivid memory of trying to keep that snappy 10mm under control in my sweaty hands while shooting in a sand quarry one hot summer day more than a decade ago.

  • I doubt that was a glock 20 sorry

  • Apology accepted.

  • wish glock made a SF for the g20..

  • they do

  • hey you can shoot a lot faster and more accurately if you stage the trigger ... which is where after you shoot, only let up your finger until the trigger reengages ...

  • Difficult to shoot? Not at all. I shot a pin match last week with this gun and 180 gn XTP's @ 1300 fps, then switched to my Glock 21 .45 with 230 gn Rem HP's and the recoil and effect on the bowling pins seemed identical.

  • I am about to buy a Glock 20C. Is the ported compensation really that effective in keeping the muzzel down and getting good follow up shots?? its there really a difference from a un ported G20 10mm???

  • Yes, with the 10mm cartridge there is a significant effect with the compensator. This is especially noticable with the hotter ammo. If you decide you don't want the extra muzzle blast and flash, you can always buy an un-comp'd barrel for the best of both in one gun.

  • What kind of velocity has your handloads been rated at? I haven't done any reloading in 10mm yet...any advice? I too love the Glockm20.

  • Velocity for these hanloads was at slightly over 1200 FPS. Actually a little too hot for these copper plated (soft) bullets. I much prefer Hornady XTP jacketed hollow points in 180 and 200 gn. for phenominal knockdown power and stunning accuracy. You might try working your way up to 11.0 gns (max) Blue Dot on 180's for 1300 fps. but watch your brass for signs of over-pressure. The greater case capacity and large pistol primer allow so much more velocity/pressure latatude than a .40 S&W ctg.

  • Thanks for the information I will definitely keep that in mind I will attempt my first reloading in 10mm this weekend.

  • Did you ever try doing full strength loads? How difficult is it to shoot full strength loads.

  • "stunning accuracy" can you give me an example. I have wasted money buying almost all the name brands(walther, ruger,HK,sig, beretta, etc) and how found that my kimber shoots the best. I can put all rounds in a head size target at about 20-25 yards.

Can you achieve this and if so what modifications does it take?

I want a 10mm, just afraid I won't be able to hit sh%t with it.

  • I can't imagine the brands you specified being unacceptable for combat accuracy. Something is wrong there. Take a look at my relative accuracy comparison .45 video using not-so-accurate cheap factory hollow points. If you require sub-3" groups at 25 yds you should consider using a rifle. The stock Glock 20c is comparable to the Sigs, Berettas, HK's, and the like. I can also tell you that it is consistently more accurate than any .40 S&W I have ever fired including my G35 practical tactical.

  • Let me clarify. I am NOT so good I need a pistol to match my capabilities. I shake so bad I need a pistol to make up for my shortcomings.

A few more questions if you have time.

Is there a glock model (ie G 22) that will convert from say 10mm to .40 SW to .357 sig. ? Thank you ahead of time.

O yea thanks for the video refrence I will take a look at it.

  • You might be interested in seeing what a professional instructor has to say on this subject. Search: Massad Ayoob, How To Shoot A Handgun Accurately.

Also, .40 and 357 Sig are drop-in-barrel interchangable and even share the same mag's. A G22 frame will not convert to the longer and more powerful 10mm cartridge.

  • My fathers g20 10mm is very accurate. He has an uprated barrel, compensate and trigger for it.

  • I hope youre wasting CCI rounds. Anything else is 28 beans a box. I have the same semi as you and it eats more then my dodge on regular

  • These are good ol' brass handloads and no more expensive to shoot than the other .40-somethings. In fact... why would any intelligent grown man choose a cartridge other than our beloved 10-mm for a centerfire automatic handgun?

  • Nice control! My uncompensated 40 jumps harder than that.Nice gun all around.

  • I have a S&W 1006 10mm and I agree with you about the recoil. I just ordered a G20C, my first striker pistol, and I'm excited to get it broken in. I love 10mm, I use it for home def, concealed carry and hunting. A good all rounder. be safe and enjoy.

  • That's good news... and hang on to your Smith, they are starting to dry up.

  • Nice video... I love my Glock 20. Its a full size no nonsense pistol that has both power and high capacity.

  • How's the recoil with the 10mm?

  • The recoil depends on the load used. It can be as light as a 9mm or sharper than a 357 Mag revolver. Heavy bullets at less than 1000 fps are very mild. I also use a Smith & Wesson 1066 that recoils more than this comp'd Glock when using the same ammo. Glocks are very pleasant guns to shoot in any caliber but with typical factory hollow points this gun recoils just slightly more than full power .45 acp. Also, it doesn't hurt the palm of your hand after exteded shooting like a .44 mag does.

  • I don't smoke weed. It is a reference to a song in which certain aspects of life resemble that of common weeds. I wonder what it says about all the people that immediately assume it has something to do with marijuana.

    nerd

  • nothing wrong with cannabis, just dont smoke before you shoot!!!

  • what is the advantage of compensated? less recoil??

  • The compensator greatly reduces muzzle flip which allows faster follow-up shots. The gun feels like it is recoiling straight back into the hand instead of rotating up with each shot but the shooter will notice a significant increase in muzzle blast and flash. When shooting this gun under the metal roof I have to wear plugs under my muffs or my eardrums get hammered.

  • It is worth paying $5 to shoot bowling pins to be able to shatter them. I shot one and hit it dead center and it went straight back 8-10 feet. 180 gr Rainier with 11.0 gr of AA-7, 1200 fps.

  • That doesn't look like a G20. Seems small.

  • Maybe the gun looks small because the guy is large...?

  • Nope. That's not a Glock 20. Period.

  • Hmmm...maybe this isn't my G20c after all. And the revolver in my 500 Magnum video is really a model-60 Lady Smith.

  • Anything is possible.

  • The gun seems small?

What an idiotic way to unwittingly compliment someone.

  • What if he dreamed of becoming a brain surgeon but never could because of his unnatural polish sausage like fingers and banana bunch fists?

    Don't be such a jerk.

  • Negative my good man. I will continue to be a jerk and you can just learn to deal with it or become a frikin hermit.

  • What if his hands were swollen that day due to a massive fit of depression that led to him eating a full bag of circus grade peanuts WHICH he was allergic to?

You are so inconsiderate of other people's feelings on the internet.

  • Your an odd one aren't you?

  • Okay "Weeds19", I really never aspired to be a brain surgeon, nor am I allergic to peanuts, circus grade or regular. I am, however, allergic to cats... but I certainly hope this admonition doesn't suggest that I have handled a feline inappropriately prior to taping my Glock 20c video. As a matter of fact I have normal sized appendages and the handgun in this video is as stated. You have a very creative mind, sir. Could that be the product of your "weed" moniker?

  • It's cool. We're all firearms enthusiasts and united in our desire for personal freedom. All comments are welcome.

  • Damn, you're stupid "weeds".

  • um this gun has compensator holes on the top of the slide right ? so am right,or am i right ? :)

  • You are most certainly right. G29's are not offered with factory compensated barrels.

  • looks kinda small to be a glock 20. Looks more like the G29

  • or before it

  • What is your recipe with AA-7?

  • These shots were 155 gn copper plated on top of 11.6 grains of Accurate Arms #7 but I now prefer 10.5 gn Blue Dot with 180 gn jacketed for a great fire show from the compensator. For competition this gun works wonderfully on bowling pins with Hornady 200gn XTP's with 7.7gn's Power Pistol...Winchester Large Pistol Primers for all.

  • Ted Nugent hunts with the GLOCK 20

  • I bought this gun shortly after reading his book, GOD, GUNS, AND ROCK'N ROLL.

Sweaty Uncle Teddy is an inspiration to me.

  • its 10x25mm right?

  • Yes, 10x25mm or 10mm Auto. These are West Coast copper plated bullets on top of 11.6 grains of Accurate Arms #7 powder. Velocity is calculated at 1200+ fps. I have not chronographed this load yet.

  • hmmm. sounds stronger than the .45 acp.

  • Looks like it came in. Cool vid. The only thing its missing is the sound of JHP rounds hitting the steel.
