I have to agree that this is the best rendition of the this song. My mother made me learn the traditional dance to this song when I was a kid and now I don't remember a single step. :(
i am a Cambodian, but i really love this song (though i don't know its meaning).. this song reminds me so much of my Laotian friends... hopefully Cambodia-Lao friendship will always remain close and good. :)
@KlouyKhmer I hope so too KlouyKhmer, I visited your country last summer and almost got engage with a local girl there. I visited a temple and her family came there to do food offering to their beloved mother who passed sometime ago. Her family was generous cheered us to come together :) I feel so happy that day but I knew that it not the right time for me to think of engagement yet, so I politely refused. Any ways that was one of my memories about visiting our country. Love your country!
there's evidence to suggest that plants aren't the brainless living things that they appear to be. they compete to survive and some respond favoribly to soft music. it's beautiful that this song is dedicated to this flower. very common in Hawaii too.
I love this song ! In fact, you might be shocked but, it was my great-grand-father who wrote this song !! I swear to my whole nation ! It was writtien by the Khamvongsa familly ! (my familly !)
I don't know why each interpreter must change some or more original words of this song? Do they know that is Lao heritage not an individual. Shall respect the feelings of the old people. Did the author allow them to do so!? It 's sad to hear this song otherwise than I heard in my youth. Very gentle and consolatory voice.Thanks.
I agree with you if you compare all of the singers who sing a Dok Champa Muang Lao, you can notice of some words being modified or changed. They shall stick with original words.
