@ubashshir123 : Yeah masail-e-tasauwuf, yeah tera bayan Ghalib : Tujhe hum wali samajhte. jo na baada khawaar hota....... Ghalib is trying to compare his poetry (bayan) to the complex principles of sufiism, (masail-e-tasauwuf). So he is saying that he is talking and knows depth of religion. So people will consider him as wali (God's friend or a pious person) if he was not an alcoholic (sharabi - Baada khawar).

if Allah had given Ghalib himself the power to sing ths ghazal, he wudnt sound that mesmerizing.......... as rafi saab is sounding, taking to the real ghalib & the real mood & pain behind ths extra ordinary ghazal

All singers have reed in their voice, Rafi is the only one with quality of babmboo flute in his voice.

saaz, alfaaz aur aawaaz, teenon bemisaal. Teen kudrat ke karishmon ka ye jod. Anand aa jaata hai. Shukriya, bahut bahut shukriya! Correct me if I am wrong but Khayyam gave music to this rendition did he not? Nothing more can be said of Ghalib or Rafi...

Rafi has sung this ghazal in a most sensitive tune, making it so interesting for every body. I wish at the end rafi had taken his voice up up and away as only he can do. If I meet him in heaven I will suggest that Rafi does so.

This ghazal is part of Rafi sa'ab's non-filmi LP on which he worked with Khayyam sa'ab. It has Ghazals and Bhajans. I think it was released in early 60's!
