@ubashshir123 : Yeah masail-e-tasauwuf, yeah tera bayan Ghalib : Tujhe hum wali samajhte. jo na baada khawaar hota....... Ghalib is trying to compare his poetry (bayan) to the complex principles of sufiism, (masail-e-tasauwuf). So he is saying that he is talking and knows depth of religion. So people will consider him as wali (God's friend or a pious person) if he was not an alcoholic (sharabi - Baada khawar).
if Allah had given Ghalib himself the power to sing ths ghazal, he wudnt sound that mesmerizing.......... as rafi saab is sounding, taking to the real ghalib & the real mood & pain behind ths extra ordinary ghazal
saaz, alfaaz aur aawaaz, teenon bemisaal. Teen kudrat ke karishmon ka ye jod. Anand aa jaata hai. Shukriya, bahut bahut shukriya! Correct me if I am wrong but Khayyam gave music to this rendition did he not? Nothing more can be said of Ghalib or Rafi...
Rafi has sung this ghazal in a most sensitive tune, making it so interesting for every body. I wish at the end rafi had taken his voice up up and away as only he can do. If I meet him in heaven I will suggest that Rafi does so.
just owoowowo.,,,,, such a beautiful singing keeps one listening.... just heard the mukhda 5 times and just wanna reply again and againnnn,,,,,,koi mere dil se pooche tere teere neema kash ko rafi sahab!!!
This ghazal is part of Rafi sa'ab's non-filmi LP on which he worked with Khayyam sa'ab. It has Ghazals and Bhajans. I think it was released in early 60's!
Is it just me, or I think that he is the greartest Urdu/Hindi singer to date? I have many videos by diferent artist, yet when I put this one on, a thought came to my mind. 'What a voice'! I miss you, Rafi Bhai. RIP.
beautiful ghazal sung with so much feeling by rafi .its a class of his own . i did not know he had given his voice to this very beautiful and popular ghazal .
Excellent rendition of Ghalib's immortal poem. I have heard several versions but I feel the master's interpretation is the best-full of pathos, emotions, and articulation. Thank you for posting it.
So excellent ... late M.Ghalib and M Rafi ....lost for the words. I never heard before this Ghazal version from Mohammed Rafi sahib!!!! Thank you for sharing such priceless gem--- SeaBreezeCentre.( wonder where you manage to obtain this track?)

@ubashshir123 meaning of the last shair-------------
Yeh masaael-e-tasavvuf yeh tera bayan ghalib
Tujhe ham wali samajhate Joh na badaakhwar hota..
The marvels of ethical problems and your statements full of meanings.
I would have counted you, "Ghalib" amongst dearest friends of God; if only, you had not been a lover of drinks.

All singers have reed in their voice, Rafi is the only one with quality of babmboo flute in his voice.
