There was also a reference when Castle's Mother books two Tickets to an Exclusive Spa for her and Castle's Daughter. The Spa is called the Pool of Serenity. When his Mother asks him if he has ever heard of the "Serenity", Castle looks directly into the Camera, and Smirks.

The actual blue hands reference was Castle put on the gloves, and on each hand held up two fingers, and then looked at the front and backs of his hands (Two and Two, Hands of Blue)

When Castle and Kate go looking for an Asian Suspect, Castle speaks Chinese, and then says that he learned it from a TV Show he used to Love.

I have to say "FIREFLY" was one of the best shows ever and the "SERENITY" movie incredible. I am a major fan of both series but FF will always ride supreme. Love your comparisons well done.

Yeah, I see it, but in the clip "Two By Two, Hands Of Blue" reference in Castle episode "Fool Me Once" the parallel to Firefly much more obvious..
