Need help i have been dating this guy for over 5 years , he does not want to settle down, and turning 40 he is 32. He says he want s to finish school first before he settles down. It seems every year there is a new excuse to get married. I really love him but am tired of waiting. What should I do?

I don't really understand why there seems to be an unwritten rule, that you should "never dump by text" or email for that matter. All that matters to me as a guy if i'm gona be dumped is that i get given a reason, and I'm more than happy to receive it in a well written email, or text. the pastor prob. had no experiece, but if you read the bible it says right there how love should be, pure, not even dating, but just waiting on God's PERFECT timing. in the end you should be saving sex for marriage, and especially date a christain if you are, and what you sed is true, its no bad, i believe what you said!

Shay, I can't thank you enough. I was praying to God about if my decision of ending my almost a year long relationship was right and if it was right, what would be the best way to tell it to him. You are too young to play step-mom to his children esp if you are not into him like that. Be brave enough to tell him good bye and let him go. Its just that simple. I don't really understand why there seems to be an unwritten rule, that you should "never dump by text" or email for that matter. All that matters to me as a guy if i'm gona be dumped is that i get given a reason, and I'm more than happy to receive it in a well written email, or text. The last thing I want is the person doing it, taking up my time to do it or costing me shit e.g. going some place. Infact if she's gona do it, she best do it at a distance so i begin to get over her there n then.
