It's a beautifu song and the scene in which it was used was very important. They kept going back and forth between the Israeli victims and the 11 terrorists who were being targeted for assasination.
One of the most beautiful anthems in the world that truly desribes the struggle that this country has been going through and is going through constantly. tikva never dies:)
Not a fan of Israel, it's not a Jewish ideal but whatever. They produce the most beautiful of poems and songs I just shed my contempt for their policies. After all, many Jews aren't Israelis - and I am not judging them by the actions of a select few government officials.
Hatikva is the most beautiful song there is! Period!
Really great political thriller from master Steven Spielberg. Eric Bana always was one of my all time favorite actors. In this film he showed very professional dramatical acting. Other actors/actresses were great as well but the fact it was based on true events makes me feel so sad.
haha... LOL 2142 and 1972.... anyway thanks for the upload.... really enjoyed it... do u have the part where the song sounds like boom boom boom boom... stalking the prey part.... i like that part... couldn't find it though
boocolor, the "stalking the prey" part is right after the singing in Munich, 1972 (track 1), and at the beginning of Encounter in London and Bomb Malfunction (track 13), both of which triheadwar1996 has uploaded.
@boocolor I like the Munich image. It reminds me that loved ones died during our exile. It reminds me that I am not "American" nor "independent" but part of a family that is special to me- though I fight to remain "independent" for selfish reasons...I think.
One of my favorite national anthems. Beautifully arranged by the greatest movie composer ever, John Williams! May god bless both...the people of Israel and John Williams!

One of my favourite anthems! Very unusual, most anthems tend to be in major keys. And I love the word Hatikvah. Hebrew is a beautiful language.

Yes, it's the israeli national anthem, but before that, it's a popular song from eastern Europe, Romania if I remember right.
The arrangement is great anyway.

"Kol lo avdah tikvateinu, hatikvah bat shnot alpayim; l'hiyot 'am chofsi b'artzeinu 'Eretz Tziyon v'Yerushalayim." L'shana Haba'a b'Yerushalayim- better yet, l'shana hazeh b'Yerushalayim, im haba Yeshua.

I'm sorry but this is a great piece of music but kind'a cheeky of Williams and Spielberg to nick it and put it on the soundtrack :p

Played in an orchestra like such it might as well could be something arranged by Wagner.

Imagine this song being played in school each morning. I would wake up early just to hear it.

HaShira (the song) is what counts. Don't worry about the rest.

Beautiful song - it is so sad that the world is everything but being near to this beauty thanks to egoism and blind hatred.
