one day , i formed a orchestra in USA and we will play Glenn Miller`s music , because he cant be forgotten ... who want`s be my first player in orchestra ?
"Tuxedo Junction" é uma música sem altas pretensões, mas encantadora assim mesmo. Seu ritmo, seu gingado e até suas partes que se reproduzem, imitativas ou repetitivas são gostosas, porque são bem feitas, bem elaboradas, bem compostas. Quando se tem bom gosto e talento, qualquer inspiração melódica pode se transformar numa boa canção. Ai está a prova: Tuxedo Junction, por Glenn Miller e orquestra.
Glenn Miller wrote the musical arrangement for "Tuxedo Junction" in 1940. The recording became a monster hit on the Billboard charts, going to no. 1. Lyrics were later added by Buddy Feyn who also wrote the lyrics to "I Dreamt I Dwelt in Harlem" which reached no. 3 on the Billboards charts in 1941 for Glenn Miller and His Orchestra. The song appeared in The Glenn Miller Story starring James Stewart in

He was amazing he wrote all these hits within a short time and was working on them all the time. He shook his fist at the luftwaffa at a concert in london when the nazis were on a bomb raid and refused to stop playing and go inside for shelter. He was a true patriot at heart.
@worseto Glenn didn't write this song. It was written by Hawkins and Johnson and originally recorded by Erskine Hawkins and his orchestra, who put it on the charts. Now Glenn's cover did become the most famous. If you want to hear something else that is good, Check out the Andrews sisters version. Yes, Lyricist Buddy Feyne, did this one too. Great song!

Sometimes less is more. In my opinion the understated verses and the tickling of the piano keys gets the message through loud and clear! Wonderful.
