I want EVERYONE who reads this to do this: Cut a length of 20" bike inner tube, or any bike inner tube and clamp it on your exhaust pipe. It may take some experimenting, but if you get it right, your car will sound like the loudest whoopie cushion ever. I did it about 1979 and it was horrible! The reaction from people? Priceless! Almost got a chick to gag! Just idle through crowded parking lots and gas it real quick and...you get the idea. Have someone post videos! You will love me 4 this!

@Killer91109 nothing different. if anything, the car may just die the turbo charger already adds back pressure to the exhaust. If the back pressure gets to high the cylinder just wont be able to pull enough fuel/air mixture into the combustion chamber and just sputter and die.

I did the potato prank to someone back in my teens, to someone who SERIOUSLY deserved the worst. He got it. Maybe it's because his car was a POS, but he made it halfway down the block when we heard a VERY loud bang and then something dragging and loudly scraping (the explosion caused the muffler to become deattached from the car) until the car came to a stop.

He had screwed me out of a little over $100, but the repairs cost him twice that. He couldn't do anything without losing his job.

@MegaMouseSEC I did this to a buddy's car in high school. His engine backfired and a loud explosion came out of the tail pipe as the potato shot out like a canon. My ears were ringing for the rest of the day. This idea is way more dangerous to the engine and to the people around, but to each their own. I wouldn't recommend it. Thanks for the comment.

@lastmondaypast1 I think a condom would be too quiet for the effect i was looking for. The explosion has to be loud enough to freak out the victim. I know that there is a level of risk at damaging the engine. It is low though. In this video the hot water bottle exploded with the engine at an idle. That says a lot about how much back pressure there actually was. This video was made for demonstration purposes only, so i don't encourage anyone to do it anyways.
