I remember the earliest harmony processors of about 20 years ago. They would just produce major key triads based upon the sung note which didn't always work. I see much has improved.
get the harmony G ... its about 220 british pounds ( i will let you do the conversion ) ... its really good ! it also makes the guitar sound better in different ways as well ... wouldnt be without it ...
uhm... i've been considering getting something like this for a while now. Not so much for lives but more for studio. Anyway... i've been doing my research but if you could explain me what do i need to buy (do i have to have the floor board tools or can i just get the harmony cntrol?)
Hi Sara, TC Helicon is releasing the TC Voicetone HarmonyG pedal in June wich integrates both the Guitar to Midi control and 2 part harmony processor and effects in a single pedal. Less advanced the the Harmony Control Guitar pedal + VoiceLive, but easier to use and more affordable. Check the Harmony G video for more info
The Harmony Control pedal detects the specific chords played on your guitar and translates this information into MIDI which is send to your Harmony Processor. Which harmony parts will generated depends on how you've programmed your harmony processor to respond to the incoming MIDI information

Cool!
Thanks, mate...!!
So, is there any voice pre-recording required as a base for harmonisation? Or the engine processes the sample on-the-fly as the singer sings?
Cheers

This happens all on-the-fly,live input... it really is as simple as it seems :-)
