taratkd is right. It is suppose to re absorb, but sometimes, like me, I actually miscarried. I was so scared when the bleeding started, I thought I was losing both. I really hope this message helps someone. I wish I had come across someone saying sometimes one twin DOES pass and the other is fine. I am still pregnant with one twin. 17 weeks <3
It is definitely a big shock, I found out I was having twins and almost went into panic mode. Four years later and they are amazingly beautiful hard to handle but my girls are amazing.
I found out a 6 weeks 5 days we were having twins. It was a big shock to me and my husband. We already have an 8 yr old and 2 yr old and im due July 21 2011 I think its cool now but still in a lot of shock.

i just went for my first doctors visit. Im 5.4 weeks and when she checked me she said she felt me like i was bigger then what im suppose to or im having more then one baby. did you feel any different when you were pregnant with your twins?
I am 21 weeks with twin boys. I found out at 10 weeks that I was having twins...I reacted almost the same way lol. My husband unfortunately wasnt at that ultrasound but you should have seen him when i showed him the picures. He just sat and stared for hours with a smile lol. Congrats on the twins and good luck!

Lol I love how she's super excited and he just seems in shock... Cant blame him. My hubby was hoping for twins cause they run in his family. We're having a little girl. Which is just as nice to me =)

haha. twins and triplets run in my family so if and when i get pregnant, mabe it wont be such a shock. we have about 4 sets of twins and 2 sets of triplets in my family. my mom is a twin also. pretty crazy!!! and the freaky thing is that none i mean NONE of them were invetro. they were all natural.
i am actually having twins myself, and wen i found out my eyes damn near poppd out of my head! but i am 5 months now so u already know im keeping my babies.

Yes it is a medical phoenomenon called the Vanishing Twin Syndrome. It is where the body re absorbs one of the twins for no known reason.

I was 6 weeks when I found out I was pregnant with twins. At 8 weeks, found out one twin had vanished :(
