Right now he is still in his crib in our room. When he wakes to feed I usually do lay with him in our bed but as soon as he is done eating he gets off and starts crawling around and tries to get off the bed so we usually put him back in his crib. Yes he has two meals too and still nurses, he usually eats quite a bit at each meal. I start by giving him finger foods and then he has rice cereal or barley mixed with a fruit. followed by a bottle of diluted juice.
As far as the poop I only became concerned when he was pooped big hard black things. His poop just didn't look normal I took him in and right away his Doctor became concerned! I was so worried they did x-rays and bloodwork. We have to go again this coming Thursday for some more testing. Hoping it's nothing serious.
Have you thought about increasing his solid intake at each meal. Ashlyn has 2 solids a day (im still nursing at 9months) she wont take breakfast so has a late lunch and dinner. She also still doesnt sleep through the night ( wakes prob twice) & my health nurse suggested increasing her carbohydrates, pasta, potatoe & rice to see if that helps keep her tummy full for longer.
Breastfed babies can go so many days without going for a number 2 without causing concern (i found that out the hard way) but definetly if he's straining & acting as though he's in pain, of course that raises an eyebrow.
Poor lil guy.
Are you cosleeping or what are your sleeping arrangements atm?
