This is legit, I've done it.... It requires no special gas or "petrol" (for you limey bastards). When you take the flame away, the wick is still lit in embers, and when you move your hand, you really move the lighter which causes air to rush into it and re-light it.

i remember this trick off that one tv show the the guy show u how magic tricks are done. ha ha this is easy when u pinch the flame. the air is taken away from it so it shrinks into that metal part with holes. and the slightest shake of the lighter makes it come back up. BOOM thats how its done kitties.

this is a true trick. The wick is bent so the flame will not spread and when you move your hand it wick moves a little making the flame big again. This is a great trick for the bar or in front of your kids.

You bend the wick at a right angle, by doing this, when you pass your hand over the wick the wind causes the flame to reduce, but because the wick is bent the flame is contained and hidden. Then when you move your hand as if to return the fire, you shake (as shown) the zippo and that increases air flow to the fire, causing it to seem to reappear.

Guys, it does actually work, I tried it myself, and it worked, well I also thought it was fake, but I think you can do it because first you surpress the flame by taking it's air, and afterwards lighting it again by pushing air on it again :)

I can do that with my Zippo. But there's a little spot where the flame stays lit for some reason. (the little space between the hinge and the wick) And all you need is a small amount of moving air to get it to light.
