I watch these videos over and over again to make sure I am doing it correctly and my buddies have now been watching them too!! A happy healthy start to the new year and on to a better way of life!!
I started to notice it right away, but it can take up to a month for any work out to start producing results. Be patient and consistent and you will surely start getting back in shape. Good luck to you.
So it sounds like most of you are seeing results from this . How long before you start to see them? I am trying to get myself back in shape after having a baby and finding it difficult!
I am not at all worried about the weddings 6 months is plenty of time for me to get my butt in shape! I am so excited that I found EnergyFactor and all their videos though as it has helped a great deal!!!
I would not want to be you ostanish! I am not at all in dress like shape and wouldn't be in 6 months either. Have a good time and good luck with your fitness goals!
It seems that if I want results I will have to find the time about 4 or 5 times a week. I have seen slow progress and that is ok with me. Hopefully my schedule can be rearranged so I can really get myself in shape by working out 5 times a week!
I use it in my routine now every other day. I have been looking at the other videos from EnergyFactor and am thinking of changing up my routine. Change of focus for the new year!
Some people want to look good but do not want to put the effort in. I use to be that way and I have greatly paid for in my life. Now that I am getting my weight under control I prove that it takes effort.
I use this routine about 4 times a week with my friends. I am pleased with the results and so are my friends. It is always nice to be able to work out with other people!
This and other routines by energyfactor are wonderful and I am happy I found these! I have 6 months more before I start dressing up for 3 weddings I am in this summer and I am feeling pretty good about myself now!
I agree people are not patient. People want to see immediate results from anything they do. That is why so many people fail at their 'new years resolution' of getting in shape. IT takes effort and time!
I didn't say you had to do it 5 days a week, that is just what I am doing as some people have asked how often this is being used in routines. I have time to work out and hour and a half 5 days a week but I am sure 3 days a week would work too.
5 days a week is just not feasible for my schedule. I have been working out and using this 3 times a week and seeing minimal results in the last 3 weeks. How long before you started seeing results?
The leggings are amazingly comfortable. I just got a pair from the hubby a few days ago and I think I am going to go buy a couple shirts similar to hers also!
I am still trying to tweak my routine, but have added this one and I work out 5 days a week. I am seeing results as a whole, but I am sure this is helping.
What in the world is all this about. Why would people be so negative about a work out video? We all have different opinions and I would like to try this one out for a change of pace from all my squats and lunges.
I agree with travistallor, a lot of women where these and they are quite comfortable I wear them when i work out. Although I do not go to the gym or in public wearing them I do in the comfort of my own home.
obviously you don't go to the gym to work out. A lot of women wear these type of pants. They are actually workout clothing and comfortable according to my wife!
what kind of results are you seeing? Are you starting to look like the beautiful lady in the video or are you just claiming to have results and nothing to back it up? I am pretty skeptical on this one.
Belive it or not Free energy is real,But the Big corporations spend millions to ensure that information does not spread to the masses,Get a motor that works with the power of magnets only at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,take part in the revolution!
I have not had this problem. I seem to be seeing very good results and am vary pleased with this method. Are you making sure you are following it to the T?
I have been using this for 2 months now and I thought at first I was seeing progress, but now it doesn't seem to be working? Anyone else having this issue?
I wouldn't think I could put together a whole quality routine with just videos on you tube! I should give it a try though and see what I come up with. What was the most helpful to you?
I have put together a work out routine with just videos I have found here on youtube and mainly from Energy Factor. They have a lot of great videos. I am seeing results I want too. You don't get results if you don't do the work!
I don't see why people think they need a personal trainer. Watch the video and copy what they do. If you think your doing it wrong have someone else you know see the video and watch you, or use a mirror like previously stated.
I agree with Healthyerful just try it!!! I did and I like it a lot. just add it to your routine and see if it is for you, if not nothing really lost as it is a pretty fast addition.
For those who are undecided whether this works for you or not. Just try it, you won't lose anything except for a little bit of your time and also the undesirable fats inside your body.
I don't know how you guys are doing this but I'm not getting good results with this exercise. I try to be positive on this but I just can't get fit with this exercise.
I'm not sure if you are doing it the right way. Maybe you need to add more repetitions or add more weight. I'm getting good results so I'm not sure why you aren't good result.
In fairness, I've tried this myself but I don't feel any difference. I'm still convinced that we should go to a gym or have a personal trainer if we really need to be fit.
Reading good comments is always better than negative ones. I'm not saying that the negative comments are all bad because some of them have good points. As for me, I'm satisfied with this exercise and I will continue doing it.
I've stopped commenting here when I read about the negative comments. I just drop in to say I have the same experience as MiniMhing. I'm really glad to have known about this exercise.
I'm really blessed with this exercise. I've been doing this for almost a month now and I feel very light. I've gained a little but not fats but firm muscles on my thighs and arms.
Just because it has lazy in the title doesn't mean it is lazy work! A work out is just that a work out. This is just a easy way, not really lazy, to tone your legs.
You won't get good results with lazy or as you say it easy ways in toning up. You to have commitment into something for you to get good results. And commitment takes time and effort, not just a few minutes of workout.
You really don't need this exercise. If you want to have a fit body then go out there and do some activity. People are getting lazier so they want a lazy way to get slim.
Oh please. Don't assume that we are lazy when we do this. There are things that we can do in a short period of time but still get good results. This exercise is one of them.
I'm really delighted to see such comments as this proves effective to those who try it. I also have been enjoying the stronger legs because of this exercise.
Great idea! This definitely works out your legs and even your shoulders, but you need to get your abdominals and back in there to complete a real workout.
I don't use the mirror to check my weight loss - I use it to make sure I have correct form and not overextending myself. I weigh myself every day to track my weight, and try not to focus on looking in a mirror for that aspect of my program.
That is good. But still weighing yourself everyday is too much. Weigh only once in a while so you won't get disappointed when your weight didn't go down or you even got heavier.
I don't know if you can understand us as most of us girls are concerned about our figure so we need a constant check on our weight and figure. The mirror thing is not a bad idea at all.
I found a lot of videos on YouTube like this one and I think I'm going to create a playlist of them so that I can play them back to back and exercise at home.
The fact that people are on here talking about safety with form and how fast you're doing the exercise just goes to show that you shouldn't be doing this without a professional with you at least for the first time to make sure you do it right.
Using a mirror is a good idea. It's also a good idea to do the motions slowly, and not rush through them. If you go to fast you not only deny your muscles the work, but you might hurt yourself.
I use a mirror when exercising to check my form and make sure that I'm doing it right, for those saying that you need a personal trainer. I've done this for years and it works great.
I wouldn't recommend a mirror as you won't notice the difference of the lost weight. Like what Philianic said, we should have a personal trainer and not just doing this exercise all by ourselves.
Weight is lost by burning calories - calories are burned by exercising. Even the smallest bit of movement burns some calories as they are what gives you energy to make the movement. That means you can lose weight with this exercise.
To those who say that this exercise isn't working and that nobody here is trying it - I am trying it and I am saying that it's working for me. I feel stronger, can do more reps, and I'm starting to see muscle definition in my legs. This exercise DOES work!
I could see how a personal trainer would be more helpful because they could tailor a workout to the individual's needs, but I also think that most people can't afford a trainer and might not have the time for one anyway.
I don't agree that personal trainers and gyms will have lower demand because of this free presentations. The problem with these free exercises is that it doesn't come with full package. It is still better to enroll in a gym near you.
I agree that there is no way this is going to lower the demand on personal trainers. I am like you itsyantc I can not and will not pay for a personal trainer. I buy DVDs and watch videos like this one for free to add to my routine to see the results I want.
I can't afford a personal trainer in any case, so I'm not "lowering the demand" at all. People have been making workout videos for years, anyway, how did that not lower the demand?
Me too and that is why this kind of videos are helpful. I would like to pay for a full-time membership in a gym but I don't have the budget and the time for it.
It's free videos like this that are ruining the fitness industry and lowering the demand for real personal trainers who can give you real results. Now obesity is worse than every because people are sitting in front of their computer screens looking at exercises and not doing them.
Are there any videos on youtube that have a more full-body workout? Maybe longer videos that I can put on and follow each morning before work to lose weight?
So many people commenting on this video haven't even actually tried the exercise. Know why? Because they know in their hearts that they're too lazy to actually do it - they searched for a lazy workout, found it, and are too lazy to even do it!
Your leg muscles will become more toned with this exercise, and muscle has weight to it, so you may not "lose weight." Unless you burn large amounts of calories with extended exercise and/or eating right, any fat stored on your legs will hide the developing muscles.
I love that information like this is free on the web - I have a home business and don't have time to run around to gyms, nor the money to pay for memberships. This is like a free personal trainer!
It depends on how you are measuring progress. You should, after three weeks, be able to to more repetitions and feel stronger - but you may not necessarily lose weight with this exercise since your muscles are being built up.
I would like to know for just how long I should wait before deciding whether this exercise is working for me or not. If I do it every day for three weeks and don't see a difference, should I stop?
These exercises aren't as effective anyway without someone there to check and make sure that your form is ok. Otherwise, you could just hurt yourself.
Thank you @Royalyer. I have never heard of DJTiesto, but I am sure that if I don't like his music that I can find something else that works. How often do you review the video to check your form?
Get outta here: I love DJTiesto! Never thought of playing him to this kind of exercise, though. Funny because I do listen to him when I run, so maybe I should spread the music around.
If you just listen to Chris, this exercise is to make the legs stronger. You don't have to have a body like Chris or Suzette for your legs to become stronger.
That is a great idea. I also like listening to music while doing this exercise. I play music of DJ Tiesto to accompany my exercise and I get worked out.
I would recommend that you better watch a full workout than just this exercise. This exercise won't be a complete workout as it leaves the abs part where most people have problems.
How heavy are the weights that she's using, anyway? Is there a weight that would be too heavy for this particular exercise, and too much strain on the shoulders?
I don't think people really want to look like the two trainers in this video - the girl has bad highlights and the guy looks like this is the most action he gets.
I think it's good to have goals, as long as they are realistic. Not everyone can look exactly like the people in this video, but to have a goal of being more fit - like being able to run a mile in a certain time or be able to do 20 reps, are good goals.
I'm not sure I understand the uber-passionate feelings some people have about working out. I'm quite content to enjoy good food, high-calorie or not, and not workout to "lose" it. Not everyone has to look like the people in this video.
Right, sometimes we just need to control our appetite so we won't need such exercises. I find it hard to think that people wanted to eat and eat then try different things to make them fit!
There are exercises just like this on my Wii Active, and it keeps me motivated to see the number of reps on the screen and hear the guy talking on screen. Maybe those who aren't motivated should try something like that.
I'll admit that I would personally prefer to go on a bike ride than sit at home and do exercises like this to get lean legs, but that doesn't mean that people who want to work out at home shouldn't at least try it.
I don't think this little workout will work for MOST people, which is what I keep trying to say. Most people have way more work to do than just what's in this video to achieve "lean legs."
I agree with you that not everyone will watch this video. For those who have watch it and applied it will feel the difference of doing this workout even just for a few minutes in a day.
Yeah, achieving the bodies they have just seems so far away. Maybe something with more music...but I still want to be able to do it at home, because I don't have time to travel to and from classes or a gym.
I'm not going to lie, I've had a goal to lose weight for a long time, and while I watch these videos, I rarely actually get up and do the exercise. Are there any videos that are more motivational?
What kind of motivation would you like? I think the bodies of the presenters of these videos don't motivate you at all. Try dancing or doing outdoor activity or anything that will make you sweat as long as you like doing it. This exercise won't help you if you're not motivated to do it.
There are people saying that this exercise didn't work for them, if you bother to look. I'm sure there are others who haven't posted as well, because who would want to revisit a video of something that's not working for them? What a waste of time.
Then why are you still commenting if this is a waste of time? I think it doesn't matter whether people would come back here or not as long as the video can help some people. Not everyone will like this.
There are people saying that this exercise didn't work for them, if you bother to look. I'm sure there are others who haven't posted as well, because who would want to revisit a video of something that's not working for them? What a waste of time.
You have to start somewhere. I've seen quite a few in-shape people who had pictures of what they looked like before they started working out and eating healthy...and they weren't all skinny!
All these people do is hire people who have been working in fitness their entire lives and who already look great to fool you into thinking you can look like them. We don't all have their body type and we can't spend our whole day working out; it's pointless.
I know that if I don't exercise for at least a full hour a day, I'm not going to see any results. If I use this exercise as one of many exercises I do in an hour-long workout, it can help, but I can't depend on it alone.
This isn't meant for people who intend to become world-class athletes. There are some of us who just want, well, leaner legs. This is more work than we'd be doing sitting on the couch, so most people will get leaner legs for it.
Why wouldn't people see this principle that you just stated ? It is not about laziness to workout but the time that we have to have a full time workout. I think some of the negative reviews are from people who have gyms of their own and having this exercise lessens the number of their membership.
You can have a full time to workout if only you want it too. If other people can do it then you can as well. If you can fit in a little time for this exercise then I'm sure you can fit in a full time workout. It is just about setting up your priorities.
I agree with @unigrief. If this video is so misleading, I feel like we'd have a lot more people on here saying they'd actually tried it and seen no results.
I don't see how it's your place to decide what works for people and what doesn't. Let people at least try and decide for themselves before you give your version of "constructive criticism".
I decided to give this exercise a try and I can do 12 reps, so I do that and I also do some of the exercises on Energy Factors other videos. It's only been a week, so I don't expect a lot, but I certainly *feel* much better about my body!
You idealists need to stop misleading these poor people into thinking that such a light exercise move is going to solve their weight problems. America has an obesity problem and needs to wake up and realize that it takes REAL WORK to keep your body in shape and healthy, not lazy work!
You are so right. It's a matter of everyone having different body types and levels of fitness. If people could only understand the idea of customizing a workout to their needs, they would stop being so negative.
I'm doing great progress with this exercise and I have my friends joining me to work out on weekends. This is our first workout as it is very simple to follow.
If you are doing a group exercise then better do some aerobics than this exercise. You will need so much space to be able to this exercise in a group.
You took the words right out of my mouth. Nowhere does this promise results after just doing the exercise work - any program you do will take weeks, but you should see some results in those weeks or else you aren't working hard enough.
I am not going to apologize for being realistic and honest. I am simply trying to inform people of the possibility that they'll hang their hopes on this exercise to only not see the results they want. If you see results, great, but not everyone will.
People need to stop getting so worked up over a simple workout video. If you don't like it, don't do it, and let those who are seeing results continue to work toward their goals.
Try using a tape measurer, if you're really only concerned about your legs. If you're doing other exercises and trying to lose weight, I would recommend weighing yourself each week...same day, same time, each time you weigh.
Yes! Thank goodness someone else who has the sense to actually create a ROUTINE rather than complain about one exercise. I love Energy Factor Abs and the warmup videos.
I like all the exercises from Energy Factor and I have made my routine from them. Anyone else using more than just the lazy legs as part of their routine?
How long should I do this exercise before seeing results? Also, I feel like since I look at myself in the mirror every day, it will be hard to tell if anything is changing. Is there a way to tell if my thighs are getting smaller?
In any endeavor, we need to patiently wait for results. Results don't come that quick so we need to continue doing this, making it a regular habit if possible to get results.
Or maybe the haters of the video haven't even tried it, because they don't have the commitment necessary to dedicate themselves to doing this every day; they just don't have the drive that the people who are trying it have.
We are also forgetting that some exercises work for some people, while not for others. And that different people come from different abilities. This exercise may be "lazy" for some, not others, and may show results for some, but not others.
I agree with you and to add to this, everyone has a different metabolism. Maybe the haters of this video didn't get the results that they wanted because their metabolism was slow.
This has nothing to do with metabolism. It is about the principle of getting fit and just being lazy to do it. I am committed in maintaining a good health but this exercise doesn't work the way I want it to be.
Give it a time. You won't get fit overnight. Kudos for you if you are doing more strenuous exercise. There are some of us though who doesn't have time to go the gym or park so this exercise is good for us.
That is right. This is not for everyone and if this doesn't work for you then just move on. I'm glad though that this really helps me in toning up my legs. What I love about this is that it doesn't take much of my time.
Lazy kind of exercise or not, I can say that I've got positive results from this exercise. I accompany this exercise with other types of exercise now but this one is the easiest.
What is everyone arguing about? If this exercise works for some people then it is good. If others prefer other types of exercise then so be it. To each his or her own preference, I say.
Anyone who searches for "lazy" ways to achieve things doesn't have the work ethic necessary to succeed at their goals, anyway. There's either nothing lazy about this exercise, or it's too little work for too lofty a goal. Which is it?
But swimming is less "lazy"; this doesn't promise any other part of your body will get worked, it just offers a lazy leg exercise. Swimming is time-consuming, and if you're doing it right, energy-consuming as well. It's good for you, but not "lazy".
You are correct. We consume energy in order for the fats stored in the body to be used up. If you are lazy then why do you even have to exercise in the first place?
Honestly, I think the video is exactly what it says - you will get results and this is the least amount of work/ the easiest exercise you need to do in order to achieve them
I'm sure most people are intelligent enough to know that you have to do SOME work in order to get results - this is just one exercise that is easier than many others for people who are beginners or don't have time for a gym.
I'm trying to help others by letting them know that this video is basically lying to you - the exercise is "lazy" only if this is the only exercise you get all day for your legs; if you did as much exercise as you need to do for "lean legs," you would find that it doesn't feel very lazy!
I agree with you. This is not an all-around exercise and it only tones up a small part of the body. I like to suggest swimming as that will burn more fats in all parts of the body.
I think this is great for your thighs, but not so much for your calves. You would have to do calf exercises as well to build those muscles up evenly to your thighs.
You're actually getting more than what you ask for with this video, because you aren't just working your legs, but your shoulders as well. If you want to work just your legs, then leave the weights out of it.
Would it be possible to run and do these exercises on the same day without hurting myself? I really want to exercise all the muscles on my legs evenly so that I don't wind up with just my calves or thighs being buff.
I've been looking at videos of different exercises so that I can cycle through different things each day and not get bored. I've used this one maybe two or three times and have found it feels great!
I tried this exercise and oh my goodness I'm sore! My shoulders and thighs hurt whenever I move them in certain ways and feel stiff. Can anyone help with how I can stretch these places?
You're all being ridiculous. Sure, it says "lazy way," but really you have to do this exercise and a combination of other exercises for an extended period of time over the course of weeks to see results. How is that lazy?
I finally decided to make this a part of my morning routine before going out to walk my dog; it works totally different muscles in my legs than I use for walking, so it's a bit of a challenge but still not too hard!
I agree @MrJessiesboy it is really nice when people offer advice for free in online communities such as in this case, and then to hear about real people trying it and even getting results! It's a nice call-back to society before technology separated us all.
It's so nice to see that some people are trying something a little out of their comfort zone to try and reach their personal goals. More people should have that motivation!
You should give it a try! It's only after trying these things and seeing results that we can decide for ourselves whether they work or not. What's stopping you from going for it? You have nothing to lose but a little bit of time!
You might feel lighter, but if you're not doing cardio to burn calories you're probably actually putting on muscle weight...so you're heavier. Not sure if that's what you really want!
I'm feeling great because of this exercise. Thanks to Chris and Suzette, I feel lighter now and I can do more things than before. It doesn't take too much of my time so I can continue with my daily routine.
I'm sure that this exercise is perfectly okay for men. The form of many exercises may look "feminine" to you, but men and women's bodies have the same sets of muscles, at least for this exercise, so you should use the same form.
Is this exercise only for women? The way she does it look very feminine and I don't know if I would be comfortable doing it. The man should do it too to show us how.
This can be applied with men too. We can increase the weights and do more repetitions. The good thing with this exercise is that we don't sweat a lot but really feel the burning of the fats.
Just because you're not going for a run doesn't mean that the exercise is good for lazy people - some people say that they're sore from this, so obviously it isn't "lazy" for them because they're in pain!
If you're too lazy to do ANY work, you can't expect to see results from sitting in front of your computer and watching people work out. This is a great, quick exercise to help tone your legs and burn calories as opposed to going for a run.
Good for you! It's so great to hear from people who are seeing results to get down to the truth about exercise routines. Keep up the good work and congrats on the results!

I have also noticed it is working my biceps quite well. My wife likes it because of the toning factor and her behind strengthen as well.
travistallor 1 year ago
@stvsvn
You should know that any lunges you do correctly should tone your legs. I added this too my routine and have done very well with this.
travistallor 1 year ago
@bmwmanic1
Your sarcasm is much appreciated here. But do you think this would work? Have you tried it? Is their a reason behind your bland remark?
shashasheb 1 year ago
@stvsvn
I you do any form of lunges you will see a difference especially in your upper thighs. I really enjoy this exercise, give it a try
ostanish 1 year ago
This exercise just seems to be something that would not work. I do not understand how this is going to work my legs to make them tone.
stvsvn 1 year ago
ohhh, is that how it works? the heart has to pump blood up and down?
bmwmaniac1 1 year ago
I have not had this problem. I seem to be seeing very good results and am vary pleased with this method. Are you making sure you are following it to the T?
ostanish 1 year ago
I have been using this for 2 months now and I thought at first I was seeing progress, but now it doesn't seem to be working? Anyone else having this issue?
shashasheb 1 year ago
@raylenejoe
I wouldn't think I could put together a whole quality routine with just videos on you tube! I should give it a try though and see what I come up with. What was the most helpful to you?
ostanish 1 year ago
I have put together a work out routine with just videos I have found here on youtube and mainly from Energy Factor. They have a lot of great videos. I am seeing results I want too. You don't get results if you don't do the work!
Raylenejoe 1 year ago
I don't see why people think they need a personal trainer. Watch the video and copy what they do. If you think your doing it wrong have someone else you know see the video and watch you, or use a mirror like previously stated.
Raylenejoe 1 year ago
I have not been seeing any results from this exercise at all. I will take the suggestion to add more weight though. I am glad to see that.
shashasheb 1 year ago
@donaevit
How long did you try it for? I like to see people that are fit showing me how to exercise. It is a great motivation and easy on the eyes!
ostanish 1 year ago
I agree with Healthyerful just try it!!! I did and I like it a lot. just add it to your routine and see if it is for you, if not nothing really lost as it is a pretty fast addition.
ostanish 1 year ago
For those who are undecided whether this works for you or not. Just try it, you won't lose anything except for a little bit of your time and also the undesirable fats inside your body.
Healthyerful 1 year ago
I don't know how you guys are doing this but I'm not getting good results with this exercise. I try to be positive on this but I just can't get fit with this exercise.
Meesteryus 1 year ago
@Meesteryus
I'm not sure if you are doing it the right way. Maybe you need to add more repetitions or add more weight. I'm getting good results so I'm not sure why you aren't good result.
Keyrful 1 year ago
@Keyrful
In fairness, I've tried this myself but I don't feel any difference. I'm still convinced that we should go to a gym or have a personal trainer if we really need to be fit.
Donaevit 1 year ago
@Donaevit
I agree with you. The people on the video have nice bodies already because you know what, they are always going to the gym for workout.
SexyKyutGirl 1 year ago
@SexyKyutGirl
Of course they need to have such a body. Would you be interested to watch a person who is not fit and then telling you that you can get fit?
MiniMhing 1 year ago
@MiniMhing
Spot on! We would like to see someone who is fit and well for us to have that "want" to be like them. Their figure can entice us to do this exercise.
Healthyerful 1 year ago
Reading good comments is always better than negative ones. I'm not saying that the negative comments are all bad because some of them have good points. As for me, I'm satisfied with this exercise and I will continue doing it.
Royalyer 1 year ago
I've stopped commenting here when I read about the negative comments. I just drop in to say I have the same experience as MiniMhing. I'm really glad to have known about this exercise.
Healthyerful 1 year ago
I'm really blessed with this exercise. I've been doing this for almost a month now and I feel very light. I've gained a little but not fats but firm muscles on my thighs and arms.
MiniMhing 1 year ago
Just because it has lazy in the title doesn't mean it is lazy work! A work out is just that a work out. This is just a easy way, not really lazy, to tone your legs.
Raylenejoe 1 year ago
@Raylenejoe
You won't get good results with lazy or as you say it easy ways in toning up. You to have commitment into something for you to get good results. And commitment takes time and effort, not just a few minutes of workout.
Meesteryus 1 year ago
You really don't need this exercise. If you want to have a fit body then go out there and do some activity. People are getting lazier so they want a lazy way to get slim.
SexyKyutGirl 1 year ago
@SexyKyutGirl
Oh please. Don't assume that we are lazy when we do this. There are things that we can do in a short period of time but still get good results. This exercise is one of them.
MiniMhing 1 year ago
I feel better already after doing this for just two weeks. My thighs feel tighter and I haven't even been running like I used to do! Thank you Chris!
itsyantc 1 year ago
@itsyantc
I'm really delighted to see such comments as this proves effective to those who try it. I also have been enjoying the stronger legs because of this exercise.
Keyrful 1 year ago
@ugunty
Great idea! This definitely works out your legs and even your shoulders, but you need to get your abdominals and back in there to complete a real workout.
MrJessiesboy 1 year ago
@Donaevit
I don't use the mirror to check my weight loss - I use it to make sure I have correct form and not overextending myself. I weigh myself every day to track my weight, and try not to focus on looking in a mirror for that aspect of my program.
rexamix 1 year ago
@rexamix
That is good. But still weighing yourself everyday is too much. Weigh only once in a while so you won't get disappointed when your weight didn't go down or you even got heavier.
Donaevit 1 year ago
@Donaevit
I don't know if you can understand us as most of us girls are concerned about our figure so we need a constant check on our weight and figure. The mirror thing is not a bad idea at all.
SexyKyutGirl 1 year ago
I found a lot of videos on YouTube like this one and I think I'm going to create a playlist of them so that I can play them back to back and exercise at home.
ugunty 1 year ago
The fact that people are on here talking about safety with form and how fast you're doing the exercise just goes to show that you shouldn't be doing this without a professional with you at least for the first time to make sure you do it right.
philianic 1 year ago
Using a mirror is a good idea. It's also a good idea to do the motions slowly, and not rush through them. If you go to fast you not only deny your muscles the work, but you might hurt yourself.
oldyellershuman 1 year ago
I use a mirror when exercising to check my form and make sure that I'm doing it right, for those saying that you need a personal trainer. I've done this for years and it works great.
rexamix 1 year ago
@rexamix
I wouldn't recommend a mirror as you won't notice the difference of the lost weight. Like what Philianic said, we should have a personal trainer and not just doing this exercise all by ourselves.
Donaevit 1 year ago
Weight is lost by burning calories - calories are burned by exercising. Even the smallest bit of movement burns some calories as they are what gives you energy to make the movement. That means you can lose weight with this exercise.
MrJessiesboy 1 year ago
To those who say that this exercise isn't working and that nobody here is trying it - I am trying it and I am saying that it's working for me. I feel stronger, can do more reps, and I'm starting to see muscle definition in my legs. This exercise DOES work!
kiatnique 1 year ago
I could see how a personal trainer would be more helpful because they could tailor a workout to the individual's needs, but I also think that most people can't afford a trainer and might not have the time for one anyway.
unigrief 1 year ago
I don't agree that personal trainers and gyms will have lower demand because of this free presentations. The problem with these free exercises is that it doesn't come with full package. It is still better to enroll in a gym near you.
Meesteryus 1 year ago
I agree that there is no way this is going to lower the demand on personal trainers. I am like you itsyantc I can not and will not pay for a personal trainer. I buy DVDs and watch videos like this one for free to add to my routine to see the results I want.
ostanish 1 year ago
I can't afford a personal trainer in any case, so I'm not "lowering the demand" at all. People have been making workout videos for years, anyway, how did that not lower the demand?
itsyantc 1 year ago
@itsyantc
Me too and that is why this kind of videos are helpful. I would like to pay for a full-time membership in a gym but I don't have the budget and the time for it.
Keyrful 1 year ago
It's free videos like this that are ruining the fitness industry and lowering the demand for real personal trainers who can give you real results. Now obesity is worse than every because people are sitting in front of their computer screens looking at exercises and not doing them.
gmarchelli 1 year ago
Are there any videos on youtube that have a more full-body workout? Maybe longer videos that I can put on and follow each morning before work to lose weight?
ugunty 1 year ago
So many people commenting on this video haven't even actually tried the exercise. Know why? Because they know in their hearts that they're too lazy to actually do it - they searched for a lazy workout, found it, and are too lazy to even do it!
philianic 1 year ago
@SexyKyutGirl
Your leg muscles will become more toned with this exercise, and muscle has weight to it, so you may not "lose weight." Unless you burn large amounts of calories with extended exercise and/or eating right, any fat stored on your legs will hide the developing muscles.
oldyellershuman 1 year ago
I love that information like this is free on the web - I have a home business and don't have time to run around to gyms, nor the money to pay for memberships. This is like a free personal trainer!
rexamix 1 year ago
@MrJessiesBoy
It depends on how you are measuring progress. You should, after three weeks, be able to to more repetitions and feel stronger - but you may not necessarily lose weight with this exercise since your muscles are being built up.
oldyellershuman 1 year ago
@oldyellershuman
So tell me again the main purpose of this exercise? Is it not to lose weight? If we don't lose weight then this exercise is not useful.
SexyKyutGirl 1 year ago
@SexyKyutGirl
I think someone already pointed out the purpose of this exercise. Quoting the words of Chris, this will help in "energy enhancement".
This is just a part of the whole exercise. If you wanted to see the whole exercise then send your email in the website on the original message.
MiniMhing 1 year ago
I would like to know for just how long I should wait before deciding whether this exercise is working for me or not. If I do it every day for three weeks and don't see a difference, should I stop?
MrJessiesboy 1 year ago
These exercises aren't as effective anyway without someone there to check and make sure that your form is ok. Otherwise, you could just hurt yourself.
gmarchelli 1 year ago
Thank you @Royalyer. I have never heard of DJTiesto, but I am sure that if I don't like his music that I can find something else that works. How often do you review the video to check your form?
itsyantc 1 year ago
@Royalyer
Get outta here: I love DJTiesto! Never thought of playing him to this kind of exercise, though. Funny because I do listen to him when I run, so maybe I should spread the music around.
unigrief 1 year ago
If you just listen to Chris, this exercise is to make the legs stronger. You don't have to have a body like Chris or Suzette for your legs to become stronger.
Keyrful 1 year ago
I am thinking that maybe I can turn on my own music while watching these videos to work out. Any suggestions on what music would match her pace well?
itsyantc 1 year ago
@itsyantc
That is a great idea. I also like listening to music while doing this exercise. I play music of DJ Tiesto to accompany my exercise and I get worked out.
Royalyer 1 year ago
Is there a DVD set for these exercises and videos? I would much prefer to watch these on my TV while I'm working out.
ugunty 1 year ago
@ugunty
I would recommend that you better watch a full workout than just this exercise. This exercise won't be a complete workout as it leaves the abs part where most people have problems.
Donaevit 1 year ago
How heavy are the weights that she's using, anyway? Is there a weight that would be too heavy for this particular exercise, and too much strain on the shoulders?
MrJessiesboy 1 year ago
I don't think people really want to look like the two trainers in this video - the girl has bad highlights and the guy looks like this is the most action he gets.
philianic 1 year ago
I think it's good to have goals, as long as they are realistic. Not everyone can look exactly like the people in this video, but to have a goal of being more fit - like being able to run a mile in a certain time or be able to do 20 reps, are good goals.
rexamix 1 year ago
I'm not sure I understand the uber-passionate feelings some people have about working out. I'm quite content to enjoy good food, high-calorie or not, and not workout to "lose" it. Not everyone has to look like the people in this video.
oldyellershuman 1 year ago
@oldyellershuman
Right, sometimes we just need to control our appetite so we won't need such exercises. I find it hard to think that people wanted to eat and eat then try different things to make them fit!
Meesteryus 1 year ago
There are exercises just like this on my Wii Active, and it keeps me motivated to see the number of reps on the screen and hear the guy talking on screen. Maybe those who aren't motivated should try something like that.
kiatnique 1 year ago
I'll admit that I would personally prefer to go on a bike ride than sit at home and do exercises like this to get lean legs, but that doesn't mean that people who want to work out at home shouldn't at least try it.
unigrief 1 year ago
@Royalyer
I don't think this little workout will work for MOST people, which is what I keep trying to say. Most people have way more work to do than just what's in this video to achieve "lean legs."
gmarchelli 1 year ago
@gmarchelli
I agree with you that not everyone will watch this video. For those who have watch it and applied it will feel the difference of doing this workout even just for a few minutes in a day.
Royalyer 1 year ago
@SexyKyutGirl
Yeah, achieving the bodies they have just seems so far away. Maybe something with more music...but I still want to be able to do it at home, because I don't have time to travel to and from classes or a gym.
itsyantc 1 year ago
I'm not going to lie, I've had a goal to lose weight for a long time, and while I watch these videos, I rarely actually get up and do the exercise. Are there any videos that are more motivational?
itsyantc 1 year ago
@itsyantc
What kind of motivation would you like? I think the bodies of the presenters of these videos don't motivate you at all. Try dancing or doing outdoor activity or anything that will make you sweat as long as you like doing it. This exercise won't help you if you're not motivated to do it.
SexyKyutGirl 1 year ago
There are people saying that this exercise didn't work for them, if you bother to look. I'm sure there are others who haven't posted as well, because who would want to revisit a video of something that's not working for them? What a waste of time.
gmarchelli 1 year ago
@gmarchelli
Then why are you still commenting if this is a waste of time? I think it doesn't matter whether people would come back here or not as long as the video can help some people. Not everyone will like this.
Royalyer 1 year ago
There are people saying that this exercise didn't work for them, if you bother to look. I'm sure there are others who haven't posted as well, because who would want to revisit a video of something that's not working for them? What a waste of time.
gmarchelli 1 year ago
@philianic
You have to start somewhere. I've seen quite a few in-shape people who had pictures of what they looked like before they started working out and eating healthy...and they weren't all skinny!
MrJessiesboy 1 year ago
All these people do is hire people who have been working in fitness their entire lives and who already look great to fool you into thinking you can look like them. We don't all have their body type and we can't spend our whole day working out; it's pointless.
philianic 1 year ago
I know that if I don't exercise for at least a full hour a day, I'm not going to see any results. If I use this exercise as one of many exercises I do in an hour-long workout, it can help, but I can't depend on it alone.
ugunty 1 year ago
This isn't meant for people who intend to become world-class athletes. There are some of us who just want, well, leaner legs. This is more work than we'd be doing sitting on the couch, so most people will get leaner legs for it.
rexamix 1 year ago
@rexamix
Why wouldn't people see this principle that you just stated ? It is not about laziness to workout but the time that we have to have a full time workout. I think some of the negative reviews are from people who have gyms of their own and having this exercise lessens the number of their membership.
Keyrful 1 year ago
@Keyrful
You can have a full time to workout if only you want it too. If other people can do it then you can as well. If you can fit in a little time for this exercise then I'm sure you can fit in a full time workout. It is just about setting up your priorities.
Donaevit 1 year ago
I agree with @unigrief. If this video is so misleading, I feel like we'd have a lot more people on here saying they'd actually tried it and seen no results.
oldyellershuman 1 year ago
@gmarchelli
I don't see how it's your place to decide what works for people and what doesn't. Let people at least try and decide for themselves before you give your version of "constructive criticism".
unigrief 1 year ago
I decided to give this exercise a try and I can do 12 reps, so I do that and I also do some of the exercises on Energy Factors other videos. It's only been a week, so I don't expect a lot, but I certainly *feel* much better about my body!
kiatnique 1 year ago
You idealists need to stop misleading these poor people into thinking that such a light exercise move is going to solve their weight problems. America has an obesity problem and needs to wake up and realize that it takes REAL WORK to keep your body in shape and healthy, not lazy work!
gmarchelli 1 year ago
@Keyrful
You are so right. It's a matter of everyone having different body types and levels of fitness. If people could only understand the idea of customizing a workout to their needs, they would stop being so negative.
ugunty 1 year ago
@SexyKyutGirl
They say that muscle weighs more than fat; perhaps you are building up the muscles in your legs and that is the weight you are gaining?
itsyantc 1 year ago
@Royalyer
Adding friends to your workout is always a great motivator. :) I wish you all luck and hope you're adding other exercises to the routine!
oldyellershuman 1 year ago
Sorry for not giving you credit ugunty. At least, we are in accord here.
If people want to get results immediately then they should add repetitions on their exercise so their body will burn more fats.
Keyrful 1 year ago
I'm doing great progress with this exercise and I have my friends joining me to work out on weekends. This is our first workout as it is very simple to follow.
Royalyer 1 year ago
@Royalyer
If you are doing a group exercise then better do some aerobics than this exercise. You will need so much space to be able to this exercise in a group.
Donaevit 1 year ago
@Keyrful
You took the words right out of my mouth. Nowhere does this promise results after just doing the exercise work - any program you do will take weeks, but you should see some results in those weeks or else you aren't working hard enough.
ugunty 1 year ago
I am not going to apologize for being realistic and honest. I am simply trying to inform people of the possibility that they'll hang their hopes on this exercise to only not see the results they want. If you see results, great, but not everyone will.
philianic 1 year ago
@philianic
Right on! I don't get good results with this exercise and I have been doing this for weeks already. I'm even gaining weight instead of losing some.
SexyKyutGirl 1 year ago
People need to stop getting so worked up over a simple workout video. If you don't like it, don't do it, and let those who are seeing results continue to work toward their goals.
MrJessiesboy 1 year ago
@unigrief
Try using a tape measurer, if you're really only concerned about your legs. If you're doing other exercises and trying to lose weight, I would recommend weighing yourself each week...same day, same time, each time you weigh.
rexamix 1 year ago
@travistallor
Yes! Thank goodness someone else who has the sense to actually create a ROUTINE rather than complain about one exercise. I love Energy Factor Abs and the warmup videos.
kiatnique 1 year ago
I like all the exercises from Energy Factor and I have made my routine from them. Anyone else using more than just the lazy legs as part of their routine?
travistallor 1 year ago
How long should I do this exercise before seeing results? Also, I feel like since I look at myself in the mirror every day, it will be hard to tell if anything is changing. Is there a way to tell if my thighs are getting smaller?
unigrief 1 year ago
In any endeavor, we need to patiently wait for results. Results don't come that quick so we need to continue doing this, making it a regular habit if possible to get results.
Keyrful 1 year ago
@Donaevit
Just because it does not work the way you want it to, does not mean it doesn't work. How long have you been using this?
shashasheb 1 year ago
This is a great for those only looking to tone their legs not a all out exercise program. You need to have a program and just work this one into it.
ostanish 1 year ago
@ ugunty
Thank you so much for the support. I am very pleased with my results. And you are correct that the key to success is a routine.
Raylenejoe 1 year ago
Or maybe the haters of the video haven't even tried it, because they don't have the commitment necessary to dedicate themselves to doing this every day; they just don't have the drive that the people who are trying it have.
itsyantc 1 year ago
We are also forgetting that some exercises work for some people, while not for others. And that different people come from different abilities. This exercise may be "lazy" for some, not others, and may show results for some, but not others.
ugunty 1 year ago
@ugunty
I agree with you and to add to this, everyone has a different metabolism. Maybe the haters of this video didn't get the results that they wanted because their metabolism was slow.
Royalyer 1 year ago
@Royalyer
This has nothing to do with metabolism. It is about the principle of getting fit and just being lazy to do it. I am committed in maintaining a good health but this exercise doesn't work the way I want it to be.
Donaevit 1 year ago
@Donaevit
Give it a time. You won't get fit overnight. Kudos for you if you are doing more strenuous exercise. There are some of us though who doesn't have time to go the gym or park so this exercise is good for us.
Royalyer 1 year ago
@Royalyer
That is right. This is not for everyone and if this doesn't work for you then just move on. I'm glad though that this really helps me in toning up my legs. What I love about this is that it doesn't take much of my time.
MiniMhing 1 year ago
Lazy kind of exercise or not, I can say that I've got positive results from this exercise. I accompany this exercise with other types of exercise now but this one is the easiest.
MiniMhing 1 year ago
Working out must not be lazy activity. I think the person who posted the video placed that adjective to catch the attention of youtube viewers.
SexyKyutGirl 1 year ago
What is everyone arguing about? If this exercise works for some people then it is good. If others prefer other types of exercise then so be it. To each his or her own preference, I say.
Keyrful 1 year ago
Anyone who searches for "lazy" ways to achieve things doesn't have the work ethic necessary to succeed at their goals, anyway. There's either nothing lazy about this exercise, or it's too little work for too lofty a goal. Which is it?
gmarchelli 1 year ago
@Meesteryus
But swimming is less "lazy"; this doesn't promise any other part of your body will get worked, it just offers a lazy leg exercise. Swimming is time-consuming, and if you're doing it right, energy-consuming as well. It's good for you, but not "lazy".
oldyellershuman 1 year ago
@oldyellershuman
You are correct. We consume energy in order for the fats stored in the body to be used up. If you are lazy then why do you even have to exercise in the first place?
Meesteryus 1 year ago
Honestly, I think the video is exactly what it says - you will get results and this is the least amount of work/ the easiest exercise you need to do in order to achieve them
itsyantc 1 year ago
@Philianic
I'm sure most people are intelligent enough to know that you have to do SOME work in order to get results - this is just one exercise that is easier than many others for people who are beginners or don't have time for a gym.
MrJessiesboy 1 year ago
@Royalyer
I'm trying to help others by letting them know that this video is basically lying to you - the exercise is "lazy" only if this is the only exercise you get all day for your legs; if you did as much exercise as you need to do for "lean legs," you would find that it doesn't feel very lazy!
philianic 1 year ago
@philianic
I agree with you. This is not an all-around exercise and it only tones up a small part of the body. I like to suggest swimming as that will burn more fats in all parts of the body.
Meesteryus 1 year ago
I think this is great for your thighs, but not so much for your calves. You would have to do calf exercises as well to build those muscles up evenly to your thighs.
itsyantc 1 year ago
You're actually getting more than what you ask for with this video, because you aren't just working your legs, but your shoulders as well. If you want to work just your legs, then leave the weights out of it.
oldyellershuman 1 year ago
Would it be possible to run and do these exercises on the same day without hurting myself? I really want to exercise all the muscles on my legs evenly so that I don't wind up with just my calves or thighs being buff.
rexamix 1 year ago
People are really taking the word "lazy" to the extreme here - if you're too lazy to do ANYTHING, you really can't expect to achieve any results.
kiatnique 1 year ago
I've been looking at videos of different exercises so that I can cycle through different things each day and not get bored. I've used this one maybe two or three times and have found it feels great!

@unigrief
Good that another one made good use of this video. So many people are just complaining about this video and they don't really help others.
Royalyer 1 year ago
I tried this exercise and oh my goodness I'm sore! My shoulders and thighs hurt whenever I move them in certain ways and feel stiff. Can anyone help with how I can stretch these places?
itsyantc 1 year ago
You're all being ridiculous. Sure, it says "lazy way," but really you have to do this exercise and a combination of other exercises for an extended period of time over the course of weeks to see results. How is that lazy?
gmarchelli 1 year ago
I finally decided to make this a part of my morning routine before going out to walk my dog; it works totally different muscles in my legs than I use for walking, so it's a bit of a challenge but still not too hard!
ugunty 1 year ago
I agree @MrJessiesboy it is really nice when people offer advice for free in online communities such as in this case, and then to hear about real people trying it and even getting results! It's a nice call-back to society before technology separated us all.
oldyellershuman 1 year ago
It's so nice to see that some people are trying something a little out of their comfort zone to try and reach their personal goals. More people should have that motivation!
MrJessiesboy 1 year ago
@itsyantc
You should give it a try! It's only after trying these things and seeing results that we can decide for ourselves whether they work or not. What's stopping you from going for it? You have nothing to lose but a little bit of time!
ugunty 1 year ago
Thanks @Royaler and @oldyellershuman
I just wasn't sure if this stuff was meant for ladies or for both ladies and men. I guess I just have to give it a try and see if it feels right.
itsyantc 1 year ago
You might feel lighter, but if you're not doing cardio to burn calories you're probably actually putting on muscle weight...so you're heavier. Not sure if that's what you really want!
philianic 1 year ago
I'm feeling great because of this exercise. Thanks to Chris and Suzette, I feel lighter now and I can do more things than before. It doesn't take too much of my time so I can continue with my daily routine.
Royalyer 1 year ago
@itsyantc
I'm sure that this exercise is perfectly okay for men. The form of many exercises may look "feminine" to you, but men and women's bodies have the same sets of muscles, at least for this exercise, so you should use the same form.
oldyellershuman 1 year ago
Is this exercise only for women? The way she does it look very feminine and I don't know if I would be comfortable doing it. The man should do it too to show us how.
itsyantc 1 year ago
@itsyantc
This can be applied with men too. We can increase the weights and do more repetitions. The good thing with this exercise is that we don't sweat a lot but really feel the burning of the fats.
Royalyer 1 year ago
Just because you're not going for a run doesn't mean that the exercise is good for lazy people - some people say that they're sore from this, so obviously it isn't "lazy" for them because they're in pain!

If you're too lazy to do ANY work, you can't expect to see results from sitting in front of your computer and watching people work out. This is a great, quick exercise to help tone your legs and burn calories as opposed to going for a run.

Good for you! It's so great to hear from people who are seeing results to get down to the truth about exercise routines. Keep up the good work and congrats on the results!

I don't understand how this can possibly be a lazy way to lean legs. Their is so much movement in her that their is no 'lazy' way about it!

It was describe as "lazy" because you only need to do it in just a few minutes in comparison with a full workout that will require an hour or two.
