  • Ha ha ha... Can't stop laughing. Most people are to afraid to be themself when it comes to ritual.

  • I love this video rinpoche!!!!

  • He reminds me of the Asian guy from The Hangover.

  • What a rude man...

  • neato. :)

  • I really enjoy Rinpoche's talks. The joke are nothing but facts expressed in a way that it makes you think deeper. It doesn't offend me at all. I love them.

  • "Eat the salt and meditate! Alright, just swallow that salt! Put on more weight! Maybe by eating more salt, you can be a Buddha. The next time you become a Buddha, we'll call you high-blood-pressure Buddha!"

LMAO I love this guy. XDD

  • I love this teaching/question/comedy because the students have really earnest questions that are very self-incriminating. Although we don't dare ask such questions but I am sure many of us have such questions on our mind. I love such honesty from Rinpoche and it is true, why do we always have to associate everything with the supernatural?

  • I love honesty of RInpoche and he is not afraid to speak what we need to hear. He always speak in such a way to sweep your ego away. Anyway, it is very funny to watch such questions and explanations.

  • When I get dizzy, I just have to get something to drink or eat. I love that! Well obstacles can come in many ways. I guess there are better ways to shine in a Dharma center.

  • That must be Joey Wong, one of Rinpoche's young followers. Many of HE Tsem Tulku Rinpoche's are young and have strong Dharma imprints from previous lives. Many have great potential to be great practitioners and teachers in the future.

  • Oh my god! Another classic funny Dharma talk! On the other hand, I think Rinpoche purposely inject humor to wake people up as people's attention span can be quite short. That is how he manages to maintain people's attention through 2-3 hours of discourse. Also the subject that he is joking may be a message/teaching to that particular student.

  • i agree with feebsnl, Rinpoche help us to relax our mind through some light joke, so that we can listen to dharma easier when our mind is relax.

  • Very funny video. Thank you.

  • Rinpoche, to me you are the doctor for my every sickness and diseases. Laughter is the best medicine, and you prescribe them very well....

  • Wonderful video. Dharma is always logical. What is required is a pure heart, and pure intention

  • No, no! His Eminence is definitely a doctor! Dharma-doctor! :)

  • Rinpoche has always taught us not to be attached to experiences (or so-called visions) when meditating.

  • spiritual materialism.

  • love your spam and your jealousy towards Tsem Rinpoche. There are people who are more spiritual than you lol

  • yeah jealousy

  • This short clip comes from a longer series of videos dedicated to Lord Setrap, explaining who he is and so forth. Lord Setrap is one of the most powerful and effective Dharma Protectors around and he is actually Amithaba Buddha in nature. The first video is here: watch?v=InTFjv-ggjo

  • lol the guy who asked the question at first seems like he wants attention and Rinpoche skillfully teaches him that he should not get attention with a witty yet not insulting reply. It sends a strong message yet it does not offend or put down the intended person. Such skillful means cannot be done by any normal person!! get more at neonlama[dot]com

  • this video reminds me that simple problems have simple solutions to them and does not require a lot of complicated things to explain, so why make things complicated in the first place? wouldnt it be better to just keep things simple? tsemtulku(dot)com

  • If you get tired or dizzy when you are in the middle of doing your prayers, it is okay to take a break as the Buddhas understand that you need to have food or some rest, but make it as short as possible, just as you have regained enough energy to resume because Buddhist practice isnt torturing yourself. (tsemtulku(dot)com)

  • the gist of the teaching is to do whatever you can towards doing something that can change your life for the better and small, little excuses should be shoved aside for bigger and more beneficial things. more about Rinpoche: tsemtulku(dot)com

  • I feel that when it comes to real spiritual practice, there is all kinds of excuses and the best way to deal with them is to shut up and drive, like what this video demonstrates.

  • i love that song too. poor Rinpoche looked tired. maybe tired from tired excuses.

  • i like ur fancy chair... can i sit in it after i become a buddha?

  • it's a tibetan throne and you can sit on it after 20 years of monastic training. I wish I could be on there too but it seems to be a very very long road ahead...

  • what does all the stuff on it mean?

  • hahaha...spiritual practice is always about pushing yourself to do more instead of less, and this is exactly Buddhahood can be achieved. So if you can do more to benefit more sentient beings, why not?

  • you're soo funny

  • then post more comments!! we need more funny videos to be in youtube. And in order for that to happen we will need to encourage the staff who put them on by posting more comments and getting you friends to watch them :P

  • okay neko chan! do you like cats?

  • i'm an airhead too. loves it

  • Hi figueiredom,

Before you go around slandering Tsem rinpoche, look at yourself first, and see who's the idiot and who's completely wrong? because I don't see the fault in rinpoche, i see it in you. Don't slander His Eminence, he is recognized as a very high lama by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and other lama's in Tibet. Watch what you say.

  • let's tickle him until he sayz uncle!! whoo hoo!

  • He seems very vain and condescending.

  • you think all buddhist should be on their bellies being nice to you? no. if u dont like it to bad.

  • can i rub your belly for luck? <3

  • there's all kinds of shallow people in the world. If Rinpoche wasnt that shocking, how would he wake people up from their delusions? or you want a Lama who always tells you you're a Bodhisattva? Is that how buddhists are supposed to be?

  • He is a real Buddhist. He uses jokes not insults.

  • and whats more, his jokes help people wake up from their obsessions. They're funny but at the same time strike a chord deep in your heart. It is simply amazing.

  • I like that! He is so authentic! I love taht! LOL! :)))

  • Forgive me for putting up this comment. Why is that there is so much laughter whenever someone asks a question? Is it because the rest in the room think the question asked is stupid or silly? No question is silly enough not to deserve an answer, no matter how silly!

  • Sometimes people need a good dose of humility to bring them back down to earth.

  • I hope it is a dose of humility as pointed out and not a dose of humiliation. In any case thank you for your enlightenment.

  • Humility and humiliation are about the same thing. There's nothing inherently wrong with humiliation. There are other ways to deal with delusions of grandeur, but perhaps Tsem thought this would be the most effective way in this case -- we can't really tell from a video clip, even if we did know better than him.

  • Behind the 'screen' of intent jokes are hidden jewels. One need to still the mind to realize it. During dhamma talks teachers with wisdom will use their skill to send the message across to his students in the hope that they will catch the intent teaching with right understanding.

  • sometimes the teacher makes a joke out of kindness. Talks like these can be quite tiring so the teacher compassionately makes a joke so that the students do not fall asleep.
