So Brock's illness was miraculously cured and now has returned? It is far more likely that he has been ill for some time, perhaps just various degrees of illness. Brock's size, strength, speed and work ethic are his "tools"... and without health, it would be difficult to achieve any one of these, especially to compete at this level.
I certainly hope his health returns and we do get to see the old Brock fight again.
You are right on the money with your theory. Brock hasn't shown the slightest bit of animosity towards de Santos this entire season bcuz he knew all along he wasn't going to be fighting him,period. LOL :-) Brock looks way too small to fight anyway. Whatever he had and supposedly has again has taken a tremendous toll on him and he's lost the biggest advantage he had over all the other Heavyweights.......his SIZE! He use to be HUGE but not anymore. He has a fairly pretty average build now IMO.
It's entirely possible (and in my oppinion more likely) that the Carwin - Einemo fight on the same card was much more contingency plan than conspiracy. The UFC, knowing Lesnar's medical history, could have simply wanted to be prepared for the possibility of a Lesnar dropout, instead of actually orchestrating that dropout. I suppose if Lesnar does get surgery then that will be a strong idicator of a genuine medical condition.

When the Shane Carwin vs. Jon Olav Einemo fight was first announced I was thinking WTF? Einemo hasn't fought since 2006 and his last fight was against wack ass James "Lost to Kimbo" Thompson.
Shane Carwin, on the other hand, has just come from the fight of his life in a UFC Heavyweight title fight! This couldn't have been a bigger mismatch.

I think your assessment of Eniemo is off base. I would never call him a striker with bjj background. He's an ADCC tested grappler who once defeated Roger Gracie, who now trains at Golden Glory. To me that sounds more like a grappler trying to sure up with striking.

Jones says he would fight Evans after saying he never would this causes a fallout at Greg Jackson's the fight is on. @fu3ar25 it's true, typically a fighter after 3 consecutive gets cut from the UFC although the more marketable fighters usually get a break from this rule. I just figured they'd want brock lesnar to stick around a little longer to be more marketable since personally the more he losses the less marketable he'll become in the long run, since no one wants to see some guy just get beat every fight.
I think Brock copped out of the fight because he took too much time off and was too out of shape. He didn't look as bulky as usual and I think he didn't have enough time to bulk back up in time. It could be fear too. I think he will fight again but it will be in like 8 months when he is fully ready.

I know this has nothing to do with your argument but Einemo is more than just okay on the ground. He won ADCC in 2003. He might have the best Jiu Jitsu at heavyweight in the UFC. But anyway I think it is possible but I think a more likely situation was that they knew that Brock was having problems with his disease and they put Carwin(a guy with a similar skill set to Brock) with someone who didn't matter very much so no one would care when they took him out of that fight and put him against JDS.

I am inclined to agree with you but I would think it involved more people besides the UFC brass alone. Its weird that you say this as I can remember reading something along the lines of Brock being brought in for ratings alone but I can't remember where it came from. From day 1 of TUF 13, I never expected to see Brock vs JDS materialize. In the end, the event loses name value but I think we get an even more compelling and competitive fight with JDS vs Carwin.

Interesting I suppose it's possible, but I'd be more apt to believe there was a conspiracy involved with the whole Jon Jones/Rashad fiasco than JDS/Lesnar. Jones says he would fight Evans after saying he never would this causes a fallout at Greg Jackson's the fight is on. Conveniently Jones gets hurt and needs surgery Rashad takes another fight and suddenly Jones isn't hurt & doesn't need surgery and can fight again. Sounds like he's ducking him which seems odd because I think Jones would win.

Interesting, but too convoluted. I think u just have to look at Brock's ego and personality. Everything he has ever done, high school, college wresting, trying out for football, becoming biggest shit in wwf, to that sword tattoo on his chest speaks of someone wanting to test themselves, looking to be tough and a warrior and shit. @fu3ar25 it's true, typically a fighter after 3 consecutive gets cut from the UFC although the more marketable fighters usually get a break from this rule. I just figured they'd want brock lesnar to stick around a little longer to be more marketable since personally the more he losses the less marketable he'll become in the long run, since no one wants to see some guy just get beat every fight.

I think Brock copped out of the fight because he took too much time off and was too out of shape. He didn't look as bulky as usual and I think he didn't have enough time to bulk back up in time. It could be fear too. I think he will fight again but it will be in like 8 months when he is fully ready.

I know this has nothing to do with your argument but Einemo is more than just okay on the ground. He won ADCC in 2003. He might have the best Jiu Jitsu at heavyweight in the UFC. But anyway I think it is possible but I think a more likely situation was that they knew that Brock was having problems with his disease and they put Carwin(a guy with a similar skill set to Brock) with someone who didn't matter very much so no one would care when they took him out of that fight and put him against JDS.
