Hi agentgreengnome, thanks for your video, and I agree with you completely. The issue is that the oil will not siphon into the bottom of the water. His problem of 'reintroducing the oil into the the water without pumping' is incorrect and actually where all the energy comes from, you lift the water up by forcing in the oil, then this stored potential energy in the water is turned to kin energy as the oil rises and water falls again. He just discounted the most important bit, incorrectly.

Experiment 1 was to allow the oil to drop through the white straw back towards the slit (which it does). it is then checked by atmospheric pressure . if i reintroduce the oil at the slit into the water, it will rise to the top and the whole cycle will continue by itself. The one and only problem left is to reintroduce the oil back into the water without pumping it in.
