I saw mewtwo for the first time in the movie and when I got to him in the game I was so scared I wouldnt be able to catch it with my LV90 pikachu that I paralyzed it before i threw the master ball at it lmao..oh to be young again.

the frozen status was basically death in the original games. They made it so that you could thaw out later at least.

Otherwise, first time around, I got into a fight with Mewtwo, Fire Blasted it, critical hit it to death and then saved the game because Charizard grew a level :P

Yeah all you got to do is hold in A+B and down when you throw the pokeball at it, it makes it like a master ball most of the time.
