  • The first and last time I heard Screaming Fist I was seventeen. Thirty years ago. I recall being overjoyed that my good friend had brought over the 45 that night. We began pogo dancing and the record skipped all over the place. My mom came in and said, "Turn it down! I can't hear myself THINK!" sorry, mom.

  • Seen pretty much every incarnation of this band, still hang out with the ones still alive on occasion. Toronto's scene is definitely under recognized

    you should search out the ugly and the curse amongst others

  • had to go to canada to pick up viletones stuff.them and the diodes 2great bands.used to hear them played over here at a punk disco in mc gonagles dublin a great punk club we had.this was in 78 or 79.got a tshirt in a clothes shop in spadina st toronto,of em.to bloke querying the straps,were a brixton punk band with a 7'' of same name which i bought.good melodic punk.gerry dublin ireland

  • I remember seeing the Dead Boys at the Rock Palace back in 79. Steve was there and someone punched him in the face. Don't know don't how it started because I was too wasted to know what was going on.

  • THE VILETONES! Seriously my favorite Punk band! SERIOUSLY! I found this 7" at a record shop in Florida gathering dust. I picked it up because they looked Punk as Fuk...loaded on my turntable and WHOOAH! The real deal!

  • @Hemp206 ... uhhhhh, yes Viletones are one fine band. But give a listen to The Dicks from Austin Texas circa 1980-83. They spilt an LP with fellow Austinites, The Big Boys in 1980 called "Live At Raul's Club", Check out those songs on The Dicks' side. Also their 1983 LP called "Kill From The Heart". Very few bands come close to them.
