IMO '89-'95 was their best era... 95 was the peak definitely, fucking insane stuff back then.

'97 an on was the beginning of the end; less jamming and prog stuff, more funk, pop hooks and simple structures.

I mean, with all due respect for this song, this song is nothing compared to YEM or Reba (or any other prog-era Phish tunes)... pretty basic college rock.
