I loved this song by Shirley Temple. I grew up watching her in movies. This was Trinket's first day with a halter on. And now she's all grown up, a three year old! And out on her own. I adopted her out to a woman with a lovely farm and a Morgan in need of company this past winter.
Thanks. She is a varnished roan, an appaloosa coloring. She gets lighter and lighter as time goes by. She also has snowflake pattern all over with dark spots on her rump. She looks like her rump was splashed with mud! lol

She is sort of grumpy but other than that small idiosyncrasy she's a good girl! She LOVES to go do ground work of any kind. LOVES adventure, very bold! I have stopped any weight on her back as I recently read an article on bone maturity, so I realized I was starting her too early. She was excellent about it when I did. I will just continue with her her driving education. I actually have just gotten her mother Lolly hitched (finally) for the first and second time this month! She is a love!

Lolly is doing fabulously! She is also going to be hitched very soon. As soon as I can get 2 more people for her first actual hitch. Her schooling in harness is to this point. But we do not have a ring so must train on the road (no traffic), so need to make sure she is OK and we don't get into any troubles that could ruin months of training for this. All must go smoothly and she must feel secure with people to help immediately if she is confused. A wreck can ruin it all!

It made the hair raise on the back of my neck to see how he so exactly understood a horse's mind. I have seen him load horses onto trailers that people had to drug or were unable to for hours. In 20 minutes they trotted on without a lead!
And he has the most wonderful gift to story tell, which is a super teaching aid. He carries on an audible "conversation" between the horse and him that is often humorous but gets the point across to us knuckle heads!
I love it when someone comments and brings me back here again. I STILL watch it! She is so big now. Those baby days just flew by so I am so glad that I taped some of it.
this is SO cute! I have a family friend that has 2 pregnant miniatures, one is due in may and one in june..I should have vids around that time. but once again this video put a HUGE smile on my face when i was having a terible day, so thank you thank you! this is SO adorable!

A young boy had been learning how to handle horses, grooming, leading, etc, and actually started riding her very quietly bareback with a halter and leadropes (with me attched as an anchor just in case) :) But she will need much more work. Lolly was a 3 yr old pony that a woman no longer wanted because she was too small. She had bred her pony mare 2X and Lolly was one baby and her 2 yr old 1/2 brother was the other. I tried for 3 months to find her a good home but no one wanted her because she was untrained and no vet care. So I took her home in the fall. She had her baby 9 mo. later.
Lolly had never been worked with, never had her feet trimmed or even picked out or been out of the paddock she was born in till we got her. She took a lot of TLC but was a quick learner once she learned to trust me.
