I once stopped being friends with this guy who said, Mike D can't play drums, may be true but fuck dat dude for even bringin' dat shit up, Word! Beastie Boys!
They are somewhat similar, but if you listen very closely to both of the bands you will here a lot of differences. And Rage Against the Machine sounds like the Beastie boys, not the other way around ;) both are good bands though.
WTF!? Where did you get this version? Its different to the video on my DVD. Same style all round but obviously a different cut. Never seen it before...
...Hammond Organs Rock,..Check out the tube fuse at 2:37,.,.,.'ONE OF THESE DAYS'{Im going to cut you into little pieces!)...Hope They Play "Echos" next,.HEY LADIES!,.Get Funkay!
Pink Floyd had to pay $25,000 USD for the ransom. Additionally, they had to pay a $5,000 USD charge for littering Yellowstone Park (the Beasties left the stuff behind, and it IS Pink Floyds equipment) and a $10,000 USD hauling and shipping fee to Agility (formerly GeoLogistics) to get the equipment back to the U.K.
MCA, do bong hits man, itll help the chemo go better!!!
As an outsider it's hard to get to know their personalities, but I've been aware of them since License to Ill of course, Fight for your right! This tribute to the spirit of Pink Floyd is just tremendous
All our love to MCA during his battle with cancer, this is one of the tunes that inspired me to become a bass player. Fuckin legend ! He'll be back into the bong and the basslines in no time !

Meh, I'm not really too keen on the Beastie Boys. Their songs in the previous Guitar Hero's are kinda lame in my opinion, and when I saw this I thought, ''Oh No''. But, to be honest, this one dosen't really sound as boring as the previous ones. I hope the bass is fun on this song.
Sabotage will always be my favourite Beastie Boys track though!
Actully, I kinda regret making that comment - I think the Beastie Boys are quite okay now, but It's just, I found they're songs abit boring because bass is quite..boring on them. (Sabotage not included :P)
If you go to the special features on the DVD... it says something like... Theatrical version or something... and it's the original film... bad ass... Echoes is Awesome!
They totally play their own instruments. They started out as a hardcore band in the 80's and their most recent release was strictly a jazz instrumental. (The Mix Up)
Amazing how when black rappers sample that it's called "stealing", but when the Beasties do it, it's called "tribute". Reminds me during Katrina when they said black people were "looting", but white people were "finding".
They made a music video for their song "Gratitude" that appears to be a homage to the film Pompeii. In addition to copying its directorial style of slow horizontal tracking shots, the video shows the band's amplifiers labeled "Pink Floyd London" - just as Pink Floyd's amplifiers are labeled in the film
