Nice guitar! What software do you use to record sound and video?

Thanks! I do everything on a Mac. I record with a Sony HD Video camera for the video, and record the sound through Garageband. (I plug in my pickup) I edit the video in iMovie and sync up the garageband and camera audio then mute the camera audio. Hope this helps!

capos don't affect the sadness of a song.. the sadness is translated by how it is played and what chords are used, etc. the capo is there to be in the same key as the singer - but i understand your argument. the video is nice but its a very low pitch compared to the real song. thanks

What fret is your capo on?

I have it on my 8th fret - this matches up to the pitch of Gary Jule's song. Ulli uses his on the 7th fret though, I'm not sure why.. maybe its played off a version a half step down.

So you can either put it on the 7th or 8th

Very nicely done. How did you record this on Garageband? I know its on Macs but ehh...the sound is great. I don't get sound as clear as this whenever I record on Garageband. :|

Yeah - he has an account here on Youtube - you can send him a message and he will reply to you and help you out with anything. Most of the artists in this style aren't clogged up with fan mail - they will take the time to help you out.

For the recording, it is a lot about the pickup in your guitar. If you have a good quality pickup, the sound should be good recording into garageband. Just mute the camera volume, record into garageband, and put the GB track over the video.
