Back in the good old days, the caboose and crew had several nicknames that were coined by the workers themselves. I'm not positive how this particular one came to be but I'm willing to speculate that since a 16 hr day was normal back then, they thought the caboose was a "crummy" place to live.

Like YOUR VIDS! I like the types where the railroad has only one loc,and if it breaks down,they borrow geeps from the interchange road! AND SAY,Will you watch my vid on Amtrak #91?
