  • Very well said, thank you for this video. I turned to God some years ago and have been celibate since. My life is not lacking in any way.

  • I plan to be celibate until I'm dead

  • Thanks very much, I am a Christian and have prayerfully decided to become celibate... I appreciate your commentary and dedication to the Lord.

  • OH MY GOSH! YOU ARE ONE OF FEW MEN THAT FINALLY EVOLVED! I AM SO PROUD OF YOU! REALLY! I HOPE GOD GIVES YOU MANY BLESSINGS WHICH ARE NOT OF THIS WORLD, BUT BEYOND AND BETTER.

  • if everybody is going to use the excuse that god has made us for reproduction should have 10-15 kids by now and the population would be 20 billion. Stop using excuses for sexual urges. Atleast say the truth. Continous sex is not natural if you deeply think about it. A condom does not come from the earth we manufacture it. Humanity is declining in moral values..and people should try the path of celibacy for building a better character and trust me it makes you much more healthier. God Bless You

  • Bravo! this video is very useful, and big tnx for making it ;) I am 25 years old guy, who is very pleased to share this opinion and agree with u. Well done!

  • I want to be a priest, but the celibacy requirement is the hardest thing to accept.

  • There is a long tradition of men abstaining for spiritual enlightenment. There is nothing wrong with not having sex.

  • God didn't create people. we evolved from bacteria... This is a fact with LOTS of evidence, i think you people should read a science book instead of the bible.

  • @CropDuster33 That doesn't explain the origin's of the universe. After studying physics for three years at university I find it funny for people to disprove the existence of God with biology. You would be surprised how little you know about the unknown.

  • Didn't God create human beings with the ability to reproduce in order to further spread his word for other generations to learn about?

  • @VAdirtyS God created our bodies and souls for communion. Communion is the strongest urge, desire, longing, and when it is spiritualized or offered to God "for the sake of the kingdom" (Mt 19:12) it becomes very spiritually fruitful. If you are Christian and follow the Bible you see that Jesus gave the gift or charism of celibacy to his Church for that reason. The most sublime example of that was of course his own celibacy.

  • @samuelmedley

What about nocturnal emissions (wet dreams); how do you stop those?

  • @MorfeuV Occassional wet dreams are not very harmful, as very little of the actual semen is released; it is mostly prostatic fluid. Some good ways of avoiding nocturnal emissions are: Do not eat foods high in salt, cut way down on intake of meat, stay away from white bread, white pasta, etc, as well as increasing your intake of fibrous foods such as fruits and vegetables, preferably organic. Vigorous exercise I find, will also assist in preventing NEs.

  • Celibacy frees us from spite and jealousy. We see both genders as people and not sex objects.

  • GOd Bless YOU! I too am celibate but am not a priest but I do have much more energy and am happy. The only difficult part is pressure from the brain washed main linee culture. Which views this an aberration

  • Hi Samuelmedley.

I was married for the first time 12 years ago.

It did'nt work out so as a result I have been celebate for the last 8 years.

I feel so much more closer to god being single and celebate than I did when I was married.

I look at life with different eyes now.

I love god and always think of him nearly every day.

    Thanks for the nice video.

  • Praise be to God! May the Lord bless you and keep you Fr in that great ministry. May he continue to sustain the many people around the world who are consecrated to Him and for His work. We are praying for you and all the religious people world over.

  • Ok sir, that's cool but keep a few condoms handy anyway. Christians have more unity on actually having premarital sex than on almost any other religious issue.

Check out my channel and website sometime. I'll show you all the pro-premarital sex stuff in the Bible your Diocese never told you about.

    Not Another Generation (dot) com

  • Yes, sex is a beautiful and holy, but only in the sanctuary of marriage and nowhere else.

I believe you take the Bible out of context, and do not believe that you speak with any kind of academic or biblical viable authority worthy of following or believing.

You do, however, give Christians an excuse or justification to have extra-marital sex, and that is why Christians are rightfully angry with you.

Please don't say you speak on behalf of Christ. You are rather an apostle of Freud.

  • Well Sir, I don't expect that a responsible Pastor or Priest is going to agree with me very quickly. But telling a congregation that I am a 'fornicator' because I'm not a 40 year-old virgin, and telling them a condom is a "provision for sin" is a TWO-sided conversation. Not a one sided sermon. I believe a man should be allowed to give a defense of such accusations.

    Not Another Generation (dot) com

  • @NotAnotherGeneration Keep a few condoms handy? To a priest? You are talking about yourself.....not him and this is the same self centered perspective as a pot smoker who thinks all people smoke it and a cheater who thinks all people cheat. He has a weakness and can't conceive of the fact that not all people share his weakness...another psychological mind game man plays with himself in order to cope with his errors. This way you don't feel so sinful. Try to have some respect please.

  • @cymbeli Amen! You put him in his place and so did the priest!

  • I am practising celibacy/brahmacharya too.

  • Wish you were in our parish Father..Please talk to your parishoners about using both the NO and TLM to provide the fullness of all graces...

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thank you for explaining the truth.

especial about the consuming fire burning the dark fire

and about how woman serves Jesus through her husband. you have helped me receive much needed graces. The truth shall set you free... i wonder how long this seed needs before it grows and raises me up...lol thanks again

  • AMEN!

  • Love is a fire, the eternal cleansing, purifying flame of immortality. Lust is a heat, an arid dry heat of negative energy temporal and fleeting. Celibacy is a spiritual condition, the invoking of the fire within, for the proliferation of positive life/love energy without. Love & Peace .

  • Love and loving the pure and sacred is difficult. Loving anything less than pure and sanctified leads to the profiting of sin energy and nature. The reconciliation is man must be led by reason. To love what is pure and strengthen purity, empower, sanctity, and proliferate positive love energy thereby. Spiritual Purity.

  • This is really good. You are a true spiritual hero. :)

  • I am your niece!!!! That means I know you. Haha hi nice video

  • I was with you until you started speaking about the woman expressing her love through the husband... but no mention of a husband expressing his love through his wife...kind of made it sound as though men have a direct line to God but married women (as a lesser species) must reach God through her husband.

Probably wasn't what you were going for but it through me for a loop!

  • I did not speak about women celibates or married men because I wanted to keep it short, but because I want to make you happy I will say now, "a man gifts his body to God through his wife and the only way he can love his wife well is if he loves his wife through God, that is, with his love. A woman celibate offers her whole womanhood, femininity, and fertility directly to God.

I never said that women were a lesser species. I wonder why you say that or seem to imply why I say that?

  • I was being a tad sarcastic when I made the 'lesser species' comment. As in, "let us take for granted that they are lesser".

Like I said, I was pretty sure that isn't what you were going for, but I guess I don't like incomplete thoughts! :P

I just think sometimes when we make quick examples of women, particularly married women it sometimes 'comes off' as holding them to a higher moral standard than men.

  • I made the celibacy video that you replied to. I had made that vid over a year ago, soon after I decided to be celibate. I feel more successful, more happy and satisfied with my life after a year of being celibate.

I am sad, however, when boys are nice to me, and I'm nice back to them, then I tell them I'm celibate and they aren't nice anymore. I see why people are nice now, and it's because of the sex factor. Without it, they aren't so nice. It's the way the world truly is, sadly.

  • Right on!

  • That's great.

I've been thinking about "I'm a virgin" T-shirt, but it just sounds strange (for men anyway). "I'm celibate" T-shirts would be cool tho. Hm. :-)
