@jsutkissmyfrog So many exclamation points! Thanks, Kathy =) Have you had any time to do more collages/artworks, or has Uni been too intense? I really like your postcards, I've got them in various places around my room to inspire me with their prettiness.
@nerdgirlsforthewin I didn't know you were an Art teacher! Oh, the conversations we could have, Amanda! Art was my favourite subject at school, as well as my best (3rd in my grade SAY WHAT?!) We should have a coffee sometime and discuss Duchamp.
@curiouscookie haha, totally! I teach Graphic Design and one Intro to Drawing and Painting this semester. Very fun stuff. Sigh, if only we could go hang out for coffee and talk art like hipsters... alas it would be quite a swim. ;)
HAVE I THANKED YOU ENOUGH FOR MAKING THESE DAILY VIDEOS? A few weeks ago I went out and bought some paints and watercolour paper and brushes and the guy at the shop was SO condescending about the whole thing. I can't wait to write my exam today and rush home just to kick some watercolor ass. You did an amazing job on this. This was truly your first attempt? I hope you keep up with it! Do you know what it is that you like about watercolour versus other paint?
@glasspeel Yeah, this was my first watercolour. I normally use acrylics when I paint, purely out of habit.
I like watercolours because they always look soft and inviting. The way that the colours merge seamlessly I find very aesthetically pleasing. I like acrylics and oils too, but for different reasons. I don't think I can put it into words, so I might make a video about it... gee, you're just a fountain of video ideas!
Beautiful painting. Like the intro and music.
