Nice. Informative to see what musclecars engines were really capable of. Pretty much mirrors the estimates of the 428's hp from some of my old 1967 - 1970 car magazines.
The car is so rare that the idea was to put it back to a true stock application the way it left the factory. Its one of 9 biult with a 428 SCJ, coupe, Non-Ram air, Power steering and power brake delete, 4 speed, 4:30 geared cars from Ford. In fact the other 8 cars were geared at 3:91's so this car is one of one. A true Ford drag racing monster.
Yes, now massage the cylinder head and intake ports, add good headers and a custom cam to match the flow of the rework and you'll be up in the 440bhp range with 465-470 ft lbs of torque.

480hp @ 5800 with 10.25:1 on pump gas
