Sherman Ferguson is one of the best drummers I've ever heard. The work he did on the Consciousness album with Pat Martino and Tyrone Brown and Eddie Green was the best I've got in my collection. I've never enjoyed a drum break as much as the 2nd to last one on the tune "on the Stairs".
Great playing but pales in comparison to Cannonball Adderley's version. The guitar just can't compare to a horn when it comes to a lead jazz instrument.
oh gosh - Kenny is one of my favorite players of all time. What a fantastic player. He is always right on the money, ALWAYS. Just what is needed, and not more.
Nice tune. Burrell original? Love the Milestones/So What contrast with the short adventeours bridge and return. Beautiful chord playing by Burrell. Also, thanks for identifying the bass player and drummer.

Now that's my new favourite song ... or at least the one that's in my head all day!

He can actually make his guitar sound like the piano, an "orchestra-instrument" on its own. Just incredible.
