  • 14 people couldnt see his ego from the back

  • Or comedy. ;)

  • 14 people don't know what rock is...

  • I had to order this DVD from the UK (I'm in the west coast in the US). Then I had to figure out how to read a region 2, PAL DVD. Worth it! This concert is awesome!

  • bought this dvd the other day. best moment of my life. by far

  • Trollilollolollolllololololl ohohohhhogoh lololltoretololol

  • I don't know why, but I fancy the hell outta him...

  • His hair... Mesmerizing.

  • 2:44 I want to learn how to do that so much!

  • @@ omg "such my balls" i'm wrong or tim really say that @@?

  • @luciferkeke "suck my balls", I think it was. =)

  • nothing ruins comedy like acta, sopa, or pipa

  • @goldendelic

nothing ruins comedy like the government (8)

its got quite a ring to it actually if you sing it out.

  • I care very little for his lyrics, all I wanted was to see him dance

  • at 0:51 to people stand up as if their leaving

  • I wish I was that piano

  • 1:51 he claps the piano.

  • @quitypop ...k?

  • This is part of his song "I'm In a Cage" which is why he says "All the real stars are hanging out in bars." Just for any of you who thought he was talking bars you drink in.

  • His eyes make him look high all glassy and a bit red and what not, But that can't be right, marijuana always seems to make him cough...

  • electric gitar version...bring it on!!! :)...please

  • Can you please release this DVD in the US so I can give you all my money?

  • @ranaschachat google it. It's for sale.

  • @theoderik12 Yes, but I believe he wants to be able to watch it on a North American DVD player. UK and Australian DVD coding don't work in the US or Canada.

  • @Chillit67 Interestingly, the Regional system was intended to protect US business interests, as have been many other greatly misinformed and stupid ideas.

  • I'd really like to see the whole DVD on YouTube... I own the DVD itself, but I like to just have Tim's voice playing in the background of all the stuff I do online. But just having The Fence on here would satisfy me. It's the song that inspired me to be who I'm finally comfortable with - a heteroromantic homosexual wiccan athiest. XD

  • @Vamp61616 You could always stream the audio off of grooveshark. Just search grooveshark on google, make an account, search Tim Minchin.

  • @Chillit67 Ah, Grooveshark, yes. Haven't been on there in months XD I'd forgotten about it - thanks!

  • i wonder if any orchestra members had to be removed for seizures during dress rehersal for this bit.

  • Comment removed

  • I've got a fucking orchestra hahaha!!!! I love Tim!!!

  • His eyes are red because of his contact lenses, after constant usage from early morning till late night ever day they will become bloodshot due to lack of protein protecting the retina.

  • @93tiny08 I thought it was the contacts. I guessed it could've been because he'd just put them on, but your explanation makes sense too.

  • You inspire me :D

  • How is it that a song that's pretty damn funny actually make me wanna cry? Fucking beautiful dramatic ending -_-

  • I've had "I'M IN A CAAAAAAGGGGGGEEEEEE!" stuck in my head all week. I thought I'd come back and learn the rest.

  • While I am a huge Tim Minchin fan and saw this tour live in London I am wary of getting this dvd, as from the songs that are on Youtube, it sounds like the sound mixing is completely off and you can barely hear the audience laughter. It really takes away from comedy songs if you can barely hear anyone laughing.

  • I wonder what his children think of his career choice...

  • @ravensc9 Considering they're toddlers, I doubt very much that they care :P

  • @Chillit67 I know they're toddlers, but I was talking about when they get older.

  • @ravensc9 Lets just hope they have a sense of humour, and are atheist, for their sake.

  • 2:31 THE MINCHIN WIGGLE. <3

  • I've never read cosmpolitorn? :P

  • Haha, the tags are amazing: "girly eye makeup" :DDDDD

  • This nearly made it to be a 3:00 minutes song. ;) Love Tim!

  • Gotta love how one of the tags is "girly eye makeup"

and I hate how "gotta" is seen as a real word but "makeup" isn't

  • Just ordered this DVD. Actually can't wait to watch it. Love you Tim! :')

  • Check the tags

  • he is such a smart fellow :)

  • Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

  • i love this song, it was amazing live and was made better by having 'im in a cage played before it'

  • Tim Minchin is the love child of Sartre, Elton John, and Carrot Top. Yeah, I said it.

  • He is a god and a smart one 2

  • Look at those glassy red eyes.

    He's stoned as fuck.

  • @nicha112 He doesn't do weed.

  • "Fence" is by far the best song, of the new ones. Bought the dvd, love it, watched it... too many times.

  • @perfahunter ye i agree, cont/context is amazing too

  • 0:43 i love the expression in his face when he says " fuck you all"

  • It's christmas, I should be asleep, but Tim Minchin is so much better than the birth of a Jewish zombie.

  • @ILoveCanterbury Sorry to be bothersome, but could your username possibly have anything to do with a different, equally wonderful Tim?

  • @ILoveCanterbury This is the first comment I actually Lol'd at in a long while. Thank you.

  • Saw him do this at the o2, AMAZING :)

  • ...except the Jonathan Ross show.

  • This song is kinda sad.

  • At 0:50, after he says "Suck my balls," you can see like 3 people got up to leave. So much for satire.

  • To be honest, I prefer the guitar version he played in Sydney, but the song is quite clearly brilliant on any instrument :-)

  • This song is the necessary compliment of "Rock 'n' Roll Nerd" - look it up.

  • Nothing ruins comedy like arenas, and beureacratic pricks like Peter Fincham.

  • @hayzerclon definately, he should have sung this song on a different show on the BBC (not ITV, why would he do that, or maybe Channel 4) and dedicated it to Peter Fincham.

  • @hayzerclon Hey Peter Fincham messed up but there is no need to give him the full Phil Daoust treatment.

  • @TheEquinox100 He deserves MORE than the Phil Daoust treatment.

  • @Sozzie16MJ No, what peter fincham did was stop easily manipulated idiots hating tim minchin. It would be like Jeremy Clarkson on the one show. Tim never said a single thing offensive, but becasue it was near christmas people might stop liking tim.

  • @TheEquinox100 Meh... Fair enough. But still, Tim was/is pretty pissed off with it. And because I'm Tim-ist (yes, I just made a new relgion...) I agree with Tim's veiws. Although it is fair that people can be easily manipulated and whatnot, but still, I've seen him perform what he performed on Johnathon Ross live at Hammersmith, and the audience were ALL in stitches. :P

  • @Sozzie16MJ Again not doubting Tim's brilliance and genius, but with the mob mentality of a live crowd, you were all gonna either love or hate Tim's work, but because he is generally awesome everyone loved it, but when it comes to people criticizing then that mob mentality comes back and people who were on the edge about Tim start to dislike him

  • @TheEquinox100 Plus all those people were there to see him already enjoy his humor/views, being on tv gaurantees people who dont agree with you will see what your saying. So obviously, there will be confrontation.

  • @Suprcassanova Wow, you're really bad at insulting people.

  • @Suprcassanova You're so funny. Kill yourself.

  • 1000th like :)

  • Girly make up is one of the tags, lol.

  • @OrangePawprint Yes because Tim Minchin can be funny even in the tags section. :D

  • awesome!

  • Love it!!!!! Any chance you'll be posting "Context" soon?

  • "I've got a fucking Orchestra, I can do what the fuck I want!" Love you Tim :')

  • i love how this video is a preview for selling his dvd!

  • Just so you guys know, if you haven't seen the DVD, the song that plays before this is I'm in a Cage, and when he's saying real stars are hanging out in bars, he's talking about how he entered the Arena in a cage before this song, and how that's what real stars are doing. :) Just to clear up any confusing about people thinking it was bows, or bars where you drink alcohol.

  • i fucking love tim so much

  • hanging out in bars isn't it?

  • Hey Tim... I'd order your DVDs if the nobs who encode them would make them available release in the US....

  • @lepermaggot Hanging out in Bars. :)

  • @ianokamotochannel thnks... i figured hanging out in bows, don't know which makes more sense lol. Now I can listen to it well

  • Has this song been released at all?

  • all the real stars are hanging out in ...? hanging out in what? I can't understand his accent lol, words of a spanish speaker...

  • 7 dislikes? . . . fuckers

  • #girly eye makeup. A+ tag.

  • hahaha

  • Is it me or are the audience sooo quiet for all the songs done with the orchestra?

tim, maybe they didn't like ur "egotistic theme" D:

  • @DkDaNnyBol They sound edit so you can hear the song more clearly.

  • 7 people are pregnant in Hello mag

  • @AndrewBCNZ So funny and original. One person at least wishes you would give it a rest with this kind of post. It wasn't even funny the very first time it was used. Now it stinks like week-old fish. Give us all a break, can'tchya?

  • Currently missing from everyones tv screen

    ...

  • Official song of Notch.

  • @CSPSpy lol'd.

  • he is just brilliant :) brutally honest, completely hilarious, amazing dancer, musical genius :D i could go on, but these's no need :)<3

  • Tim - brilliant as usual. Keep this up and you'll be wanking yourself to death at the Four Seasons before you know it. Make us proud ginger man.

  • it'a true, we do want to see tim minchin dance :D

  • at 0:51 theres people actually leaving hahaha people are funny hahaha

  • the tags on tim minchin's videos let you know their authentic

  • Turns down Pepsi because he has no interest selling out, then records a song about selling out and uses it to plug his own DVD. Tim, you are a legend.

  • @doyouvoodoooo Go watch fking 'americans funniest home video's' or something else then.

  • I find myself so fuckign happy to see this guy is finnaly getting what he deserves. Tim, really, you are awesome, and ill be your fan until i die.

  • Mozart would be proud.

  • This has made my entire week. I love you, Tim!

  • Epic!!

  • haha that was awesome

  • i love how one of the tags is "girly eye makeup"

  • This is like the opposite of Rock and Roll Nerd.

  • @DanieleGiorgino It's even more apparent when you watch the progression from Rock and Roll Nerd, to So F**king Rock, to this song...

  • @DanieleGiorgino Haha, that's very true. Rock 'n Roll nerd, he thought he was always gonna be a fucked up little try-hand wanna be rock 'n roll nerddd. But now, he's achieved what he thought was impossible back then, and it's changed him! I don't think it really has, though.

  • he's so quality on piano, i'm in awe... :)

  • the world needs more tim minchin

  • i.love.you.

  • when you comming to Sweden?

  • I don't think the audience is quiet because they're brittish. I have the album of the same concert (done in the UK) and I actually went to see it in Australia. Out of all the audiences, the UK album was the most responsive - I think it's just the way the sound has been mixed.

  • @Barnman2205 I was there, and I agree. The crowd was actually very good, even though you can't hear it in this clip.

  • that audience is awful!

  • @bethnee9989 no, they're just british. unlike american audiences, they tend to not laugh and applaud wildly every time a comedian ends a sentence one a Joke Cue.

  • @bethnee9989 I was there, and you're wrong.

  • I could have gone to see this at the MEN. but the day it was on i had to chose between seeing him, and going home for Christmas.

Then i could have seen him this October in Dublin. but guess who had an exam that day. This guy. Still have the tickets to both.

    One day i'll see him

  • ...laughing hysterically!

  • Terrible audience...

  • @sammmmmy195 I think it's a combination of A) not everyone in the audience is used to his comedy, since there are a lot of people there who've never seen him before, and B) it's a huge hall and they're not miked up, so you can't hear the people who ARE cheering. They get better the longer the gig goes on, but yeah, it's kind of awkward for the first half of the dvd when he tells a joke and there's just silence... =P

  • is he crying?

  • "I sold my tickets, my job is done. Fuck you all." HaHa Awesome Tim!

  • Guys, somebody could PLEASE send me the LYRICS of this song?

i'm from Chile and I translate Minchin's song to spanish and make videos with the lyrics in spanish for all the fans of Tim who not speak english.

I can translate english well but i cannot understand clearly what he say when he sings cause... you know, that australian accent!

If somebody please could send me the lyrics it would be great :)

    THANKS!

  • @Barlecilla

this song is a part of a bigger song called I'm In a Cage. You can find it on google.

  • @nhonho23 Wow, I didn't know it, thanks a lot, i'll search the whole song

  • "Fuck You! Buy my CD!" Tim you are a God!

  • This is so epic. My love for Tim is limitless.

  • Sounds like tenactious d

  • too bad tim is not available on spotify...

  • Your understanding of music, the interaction of the crowd and the ability to bear soul in one expressive conundrum of jot inspires me.

  • @zimwasi *joy*

  • I dont care how bad I feel he always makes me smile

  • this makes me grin like an excited little kid!! can't wait to get the DVD!!

  • Was there and bought the DVD was absolutly amazing live. Def recomend buying the dvd

  • Ah Yeah! Just noticed this was posted on my birthday!

  • Ooooh. Did I head rock and roll nerd beginning at the end there? :33

  • @3t9l

    FUCK, i mean hear.

  • For a tour that's about "flogging DVDs" it sure took a while for the DVD to get here.

  • Fucking genius, fucking genius, fucking GENIUS! DAMN TO THE DEPTHS OF HELL how much I admire this man.

  • I GOT A FUCKIN' ORCHESTRA!

  • I LOVE HIS DANCING.

  • I wish I had a fucking orchestra.

  • @bleachigo10 I wish I had him... Yum <3

  • Just bought a few songs on itunes from this and they are amazing!!!! Definitely listen to "Thank you God", "The Fence", and "Cont.". :D!

  • @Thiefree Just my two cents but I saw this more of a natural progression of his on-stage character. Rock N' Roll Nerd = no recognition and so his character is both self-effacing and a bit resigned; with 'I'm so f**king rock' he's a bit more confident and enthusiastic; then sold out arenas w/ full orchestra = equals 'hell yeah I'm a rock star'. I think the way his shows always seems to build on what he's done before, like sequels to a movie or a book, is one of the things I enjoy the most.

  • @mshanhan10 That's a really good point. I guess I just can't relate to this song the way I can with White Wine in the Sun, for example. Family is a universal thing, broadly speaking, and fame isn't. I'm sure not all his new material will focus on fame though, so it's cool. Just a preference thing.

  • @Thiefree I get that. 'White Wine In the Sun' is a beautiful song. Feel that way about 'Not Perfect'. It resonated quite a bit with me when I first heard it.

  • @mshanhan10 Oh my gosh, absolutely. Those two bring tears to my eyes almost every time.

  • lol, while playing this (quite loud) my pet frogs started croaking XD happens quite alot when im listening to tim...

  • I listen to your lyrics, Tim! D: Parts of this song toed the line between satire and an honest, "Fuck you all, I'm sick of this fame shit". To be honest, I can see where he's coming from. I'd never be able to be famous without completely snapping.

  • @IceMetalPunk I think he's being slightly tongue-in-cheek here, intentionally overstating his fame. While I admit I don't know exactly what his coverage over in the UK is, and he's been on Never Mind the Buzzcocks several times, including as host, I don't know that he actually is "famous".
