  • Tim you can tell Paul that that was a great flight...great landing..can you tell me where the garmins can be got and around what weight they are

    Many thanks

    SM

  • @MrMaguireshaun yes I got this on on e-bay check Amamzon or ebay and I think it weights in a little over 2 onces from what I can recall ,, Thanks for commenting..Tim

  • @MrMaguireshaun This is Paul, thanks for the compliment, this T-28 is a blast to fly!

  • Great Video.. I have 4 of the Airfield FMS 1400 mm electricts and have been pleased with them all. They do require some repairs now and then but for the money are a good value..This by far is my favorite the T-28..Thanks for sharing your speed secrets..111 mph

    is awesome..

  • @MrVerno1960 Thanks for the great comment..I agree and picked up a Airfield FMS P-51 looking forward to doing the Maiden.. Thanks Tim

  • @MrVerno1960 So far I've flown 5 of the FMS 1400's (T-28, P-47, Zero, Spitfire, and P-51) and they all are good flyers but like yourself the T-28 is my favorite!

    Paul

  • The camera clicking constantly is highly annoying. Otherwise a great video!

  • @ The good news is I have a new camera and this is fixed ,,Thanks for commenting and visitng..Tim

  • Tim, it would be so nice to know exactly what is the setup on that plane!

  • @flyfast Sure, the motor is a Trunigy, 50-55 600 KV motor, spinning a 13X10 prop, has a 100 or 80 Amp ESC (Not sure on that) on 6 Cells. Thanks for commenting..Tim

  • @TinkerManRC thank you! Such a nice plane!

  • @flyfast Sure and Thank-you

  • How do you like the nitroplanes airplanes? I've heard that they're terrible, cheap, Chinese made aircraft. My friend has one that is horrible quality and things fall apart, stop working, and break super easily. He had to replace all the Chinese electronics because they all stopped working properly. Are they all like that or do you think planes like this t-28 are decently durable and reliable? I've also heard that nitroplanes in general has horrible customer service. What do you think?

  • how did you fit the motor onto the plane? Did you need to make a new motor mount?

My exceed Rocket motor won't fit onto the stock motor mount.

    Any help is much appreciated!

  • @yakifly From what I can remember, the 50 X 55 fit but is longer so the fake radial engine had to opened up..

  • I will ask paul to make sure..Tim

  • @yakifly This is Paul, I had to drill new holes into the stock mount because of the larger bolt pattern and like Tim said I also had to open up the fake radial.

  • what size prop did you use?

  • @yakifly APC 13 x 10 Thanks for asking..Tim...and visitng my channel...Tim

  • 13X10 APC thanks for commenting..Tim

  • what prop and motor is it running???

  • @dnmac5 I think its a trunigy 50-55 600kv on a 13X10 prop thnaks for askinf commenting ..Tim

  • Nice flying T-28. Couldn't help noticeing the Chemtrails are where you fly also.

  • @p47joepilot Thanks for commenting..TIm

  • That's a fast plane.

    Looks good too.

    Thumbs Up ~ Eric

  • @joehandsome99 Hi Eric

Hope all is well, Thanks for stopping in and commenting. I sure do enjoy your channel as well.. Thanks ..Tim

  • :0)

  • One other tip for recording, turn off the auto focus! Once it set, probably to infinity, it will not need to be changed during the flight. That way, the plane will not go in and out of focus, or have the cameras lens hunt for the correct focus, depending on the light that day.

  • @bskoros Yes you are correct it was in manual focus, So you can bet the next speed run will show more. thanks for commenting man and points.. Tim

  • Great Upgrade Paul and flying man plus thanks for sharing Tim = thumbs up.

  • @startazz Thanks for the compliment!

  • @startazz Ian

How are you? Sure you bet and thanks again for your compliment..Tim

  • Your videos are always alove/hate thing for me. I love how you show some of the coolest planes around, but I hate how your camera is always zoomed up on the planes during flight. The camera needs to zoom out sometimes and stay stationary so that we can get an idea of the flight speeds as planes shoot past the camera. Its all about perspective, and if you zoom in and follow the planes with the camera there will be no perspective whatsoever. The plane could be traveling at 5mph or 500mph

  • @GamerSipes Thanks for the tips, will work on that to bring you the coolest videos. Thanks for the commenting and visitng after all I do a appreciate it. I do have plans to upgrade the camera.. hang in there ..Tim

  • Great model. I like the more POWER option :>)

  • @eastcoast78 Me too!!!!!!!

  • @eastcoast78 Mike

Thanks for commenting man glad you enjoyed..Tim

  • Is that the same Turnigy motor that was in the Airfield Spitfire a few months ago.

  • @photobart1No, my Spitfire is using the Turnigy 4250-500kv motor on 6s with an APCe 12x12 prop

  • Nice flight and the upgrades did not hurt the model flying made it better

  • @SlyDawg951 Thanks for the comment this is Paul, I agree with you completely the upgraded motor helps the model perform basic maneuvers more crisply in my opinion and I know it's not scale but I couldn't resist doing a couple of speed runs with that motor as I love the way it growls at full speed!

  • wew wee that thing was moving! I have it with the stock set up, and i love the scale flight, but that sure looks fun! Do you know what the speed is with the stock setup?

  • @SuperT661 I've read that the stock motor is in the 70's on 4s and 80's on 5s, if you use 5s you need to change the speed control as the stock motor pulls roughly 67 amps on 5s.

  • @noxqses74 70 seems about right. Thanks for the info on upgrading the esc, and nice video by the way!

  • That Bad Boy Was Transportin' Donkeys!

    Thanks Y'all!

  • @poppopscarvinshop Thanks for commenting and visitng ..Tim

  • Wow 2000W with 6S setup, what ESC is he using? This bird flies so steady really can't tell it was flying that fast, wouldn't it be awesome to find someone with the exact same plane using stock setup and fly them side by side for comparison?

  • @DAMIENloh1970 Thanks for commenting this is Paul, I'm using a Castle ICE100a ESC. Great idea on a flight with a stock 28 and I have a buddy who has the airforce version so I'll have to try and do that before the snow flies here in MN.

  • Tim, tell Paul he did a great job...That larger motor and prop sounds like a real monster...Good flying....

  • @PatBALEX, Hi Pat this is Paul, thanks for visiting and the compliment!

  • @PatBALEX Thank pat will do ,,

  • looking great, im amazed how fast it is! ive got the parkzone t28, thumbs up from gus and dan

  • @Blueberry954 Thanks Gus and Dan!

  • @Blueberry954 Gus and dan thanks for the cool compliment.. Sweet..Tim

  • Nice Flying Paul. I too have this same plane and was thinking of upgrading the motor. Looks like you got a great setup. I'll have to experiment for sure now with mine. Thumbs Up! ~~Robert.

  • @RCRedBaron, Thanks Robert, this plane is a blast to fly! Before I put the turnigy in I had upgraded the esc to an 80a and was running 5s on the stock motor and it really woke this plane up.

  • @RCRedBaron Thanks Robert ..Tim

  • Nice flight, might have to get this plane myself. Not completely convinced it flew 111mph though, just doesn't look like it is flying that fast. But then again, trying to judge speed by watching a video is all a matter of perspective. Maybe once I pick up this plane and fly it myself I will be convinced. Thanks for posting video!

  • @saltydog1984 Glad you enjoyed..Tim

  • For those of you who may have noticed that is frost on the ground as it was only 25 degrees out during the filming of this video...Brrrr!

Thanks for making this video Tim!

    Paul

  • @noxqses74 is that 25 degrees F ? as its about 14 degrees here :-) (Celsius that is)

  • @herishidesigns, Haha yes 25f and it's only going to get colder!
